redpopsicles It is not too late to pull it out. I noticed the Hufflepuffs were making some banners themselves. But, I also noticed that they said in their comon room that they didn't make some of them themselves.Quoting some Hufflepuff: I'll go post that in the hour glass forum. I didn't really make 4 of them though. Should I only add five points for each of them or something like that? If you don't make them yourself, you don't get any points, right? We should probably watch this. They have about 25 new banners posted, but if they didn't make some of them, they should't count really. Am I right about this? Because Voluptuos Jon and I worked really hard (true to Ravenclaw form) to make the ones we posted. Quoting other people's common rooms is not allowed. You are not to make any referances to anything that happens in common rooms other than your own. If I could I would prevent you from reading other common rooms but I can not physically do that. It is supposed to be based on trust. Hufflepuff has been warned already, and, this is your warning. If it happens again 50 points will be taken from Ravenclaw.

Wow, I'm sorry I haven't been active for the past week....I'm barely able to get through my real life schoolwork. gonk
Anyhow, please take Angil's warning seriously. Common rooms come with an expectancy of privacy for each respective house. We may not have password-encrypted portraits here in the guild, but we must respect the privacy of other houses if we are to expect it for ourselves. I know that you guys are smart enough to know not to do it again. smile
Also, good work with the banners! It's awesome to see so much house spirit as well. Unfortunately, I know that we are at a disadvantage in terms of number of students, but every point earned is greatly appreciated. As long as everyone shows the amount of dedication I see right now (especially from Jon and red), we will win the house cup for sure sooner or later. We are more than capable of it. 3nodding

I would think things might start to clear up once the next term gets started. Fresh start, and all (think optimistic biggrin ). I didn't join the guild to fight or anything. I just think it's a cool idea for a guild. I think it sucks that there are all these catty, pissy posts going on now all over the guild.
Now, a bit of a rant domokun :
Mostly I guess I'm just disappointed because I really wanted to have fun with this guild. Could someone explain to me what I'm doing wrong? I post in a variety of forums, the Library, Kitchen, Great Hall, etc. I participate in the Discussion forums. I really like playing the games at Spinner's End. I thought the Valentine's thing was cool and participated the whole way through. I even signed up for almost every class and did all the homework/exams for those classes since I've been sorted. I then thought, well, what else can I do to participate. Oh, I'll make some banners. Then, I make a few (because in ways to earn points, it says that's a good way), and all hell breaks loose. I just don't know how that makes me such a crappy guild member, which is how I've been made to feel.
Am I missing something here?
(Rant over. smile )

Redpopsicles, I think you are doing a great job so far and have shown yourself to be a dedicated student. I agree with you guys and am disappointed with this apparent tension. I hope that it will not discourage you to remain dedicated and have fun in this guild. Regardless of anything that may happen, there will always be nice people you can chat with and share your common interests with. ^^
I met a lot of my Gaian friends in this guild actually. I know that the guild has changed a lot since then. There are new members I am pleased to have met....such as yourself. smile
And remember first and foremost to have fun! I really appreciate our house pride, but also try not to take the house cup championship too seriously. Do your best, and make friends from other houses. The competitions are for fun. ^^
End of speech.~

Thanks, mystic. I was actually just coming back to revise/edit/delete my rant after thinking about how really RANTING it was biggrin . I think there are LOTS of nice people in this guild, especially in this house, but in other houses, too. I am definitely going to remain as dedicated as I am now, and just keep doing what I'm doing. It's all good. mrgreen

redpopsicles I have a question about teaching classes. Could I apply to teach something next term, being a first year and all? Not to intrude the conversation, but anyone can become a teacher, I am a first year, until the new term starts (when I will become a second year) and I taught a class this year. You just have to get recommendations from people. If you need a recommendation I will give you one.
All you need to do is post a application in the Hogwarts Staff Room. Sorry Crimson if this interfers with your reply, but I am just saying that I was a first year and I was approved for being a teacher.

Yes, it's all good. ^^
Of course personal stuff should come before Gaia (gasp I know xd ), so Crimson, take it easy and good luck. smile I also have a lot of stuff to take care of before end of term (April 7) like a whole load of papers and projects and tests I have still to come. After that, it's the wonderful world of finals (sarcastic!). I'll still check in as often as possible, but obviously my time is very limited, and I promise to resume my normal level of activity (which usually consists of doing all hw assignments in numerous courses biggrin ) when the madness is over. 3nodding
