"By the end of the first term!" roared Horatus. "That is not acceptable at all. I expect to see battle scars from being that late. The date and time school opens is in the very first letter the students receive upon being accepted and the know how far away they leave, how hard is it to leave a day or even week earlier. Do I have to teach a class?" Horatus's eyes narrowed at the idea of actually having to work with these students. Looking around the room Horatus appraised the students standing around waiting for something to do. "All students line up just outside the door along the wall in the hall way!"
One or two of the students seemed to show any promise at all, the others looked helpless and hopeless. "Exactly what I want on the first day of school," thought Horatus, "a bunch of lollygagers with a blind one thrown in for good measure. How do such abominations get accepted in the first place? Who ever heard of a blind warrior that did any good."

At Horatus' screaming, Varnis turned around to see Horatus standing there screaming. Raiden seemed frightened by him. Varnis had taken him off of his shoulders, and held him close to him.

"Ok, I don't want to get him mad..." Varnis had listened to his Instructions, and lined up against the wall.

Varnis waited for the next instructions of what to do, while he had whispered to Raiden about a few things, even though Raiden doesn't talk back.

With the audacity of that man's voice still ringing through his ears he just stared at the other students. He saw the potential in only a handful of the students. The blind one looks like she'll have a little problem with Horatus. The fallen angel looks to be really skilled. The samurai I already know has potential to get even better. Hmm the other's haven't really showed any promise as of yet. Now theres still the problem with that woman Silver, she's not even here yet and she told me to come this early. When she gets here I"ll...I'll... do nothing because that would require effort. Maybe I'll just make fun of her or something.

((omg I'm already in love with Horatus.))

Garreth winced slightly. Horatus certainly was loud, but the students listened to him. "No, I don't think you will be teaching any classes, Horatus." he said, quickly marking a few things off of his paper and writing in something else. He looked at Akakage. "Actually I was hoping you'd stay for the orientation this year. We have a couple policy changes, and I'd like you to be present as we go over them. A teacher who does not enforce policy changes due to ignorance is somewhat useless, don't you think?"

Luna watched the teachers and heads interact as she followed the silver haired man's instructions, making sure she got the possition so she could still see through the door. She was already making calculations as to which teacher would be best to train her, which one could handle a rouge assissin from hell. A small smerk flickered accross her face at this thought under the impression that none of them knew the past she had escaped from. The other students didn't seem ever so impressive. The girl she had entered behind looked like she might be able to accomplish something and the samurai didn't appear to be too shaby.
"I doubt they could even compete with me," Luna thought flexing her wings ever so slightly. Her wings weren't only good for flying, she could fight with them as well. Over the years her wings had become a powerfull force all their own that most people didn't expect, giving Luna the upper hand in most situations.

Horatus made a point not to even look at Akakage as he continued to speak to Garreth, he was ignoring the students lined up in the hall at the moment as well. Staying silent while those with more power had never hurt anyone and maybe it would teach these students some respect before anything even started. "I'm always here for orientation," Horatus said. "I just don't make a habit of being available to be bothered, but if there are new policies going in I'll stick around to know what I can punish people for. Ignorance does not belong in this school. Ignorance in a warrior means death."
Glancing into the hallway Horatus could only really see the angel girl, though judging from her colors she was a Fallen Angel. The others were crowed to either side of her forming a line that might be acceptable for the very first day before orientation but the students formed another line like this after today there would be hell to pay.

((Thank you. I've never actually played a male character before.))

As Varnis was out side of the room, he thought about who would be the best one to teach him. He had thought about Harotus, but he scares Raiden, No he isn't the one to teach me, he'll scare Raiden to death.

The only other teacher that I know is Akakage, he likes to challenge people, already he has thrown a Shurikan at me, he'll keep me on my toes. He thought to himself as how he would keep up with his speed though, he didn't even see him get up, and go behind him, and back.

((Maladictio, you are playing two characters?))

Marching out of the room Horatus stood at his full height in front of the students, watching carefully for any movement that would betray fear or timidus. Looking down the line, the meager line, Horatus was dissappointed in the turn out for school this year, or at least at the number of students who felt like they would grace the school with an appearance on time. "In order as you are lined up I want each of you to step forward and tell me what training, if any, you've had before this moment and what weapon you specialize in," Horatus barked at the line.

((Yes, Maledicto has two characters and so do I. You are free to have another character as well.))

Garreth followed. It was his duty, after all, to write down what the students spoke. The order was Luna, Namen, and Varnis.

"Please note that if you speak out of turn, you will not like your first letter." he added.

[edit] removed Dorothy from the list as it seems she has not actually found the office yet. oops. lol[/edit]

"Alright Garreth. I understand looks like I'll have to attend this year so you guys won't get mad at me." Looking towards the overbearing man, although he didn't like the man he held a lot of respect for him in how he runs this school. Listening in on any information he can use to further the training of his students he just waited until they told Horatus about their specialties and training.

Luna stepped forward to do as the man had ordered. In a clear voice that sounded something like a low wind through the trees she said, "I am Luna. I was not given a lastname so I can not inform you as to what it is. If a last name is necessary I will accept any name given to me for the purpose of following orders. Before coming to The House of Bricks School of Weapons I was trained as one of Hell's Assassins in every weapon ever dreamed of. My specialty is throwing stars." Extracting one of her pressous throwing stars Luna pressented it for inspection.

((Yes, I'm playing both Luna and Horatus. Got permission from the thread master and applied with both so the roleplay could get underway sooner. Don't worry, Horatus won't play favorites with Luna just because I play them both.))
PostPosted: Mon Jul 30, 2007 6:58 pm

((Of course I am last lol. Well, If I tried to play two different characters, I would get so confused...))

Horatus was impressed by the girl's introduction, but after hearing of her training he wasn't supprised at all. Taking the star he looked closely at the intricate patterns in the arms and the rubies that addored the silver in certain places. Her weapons were masterfully created. "Next," barked Horatus.

((Sorry I had to go make and eat dinner.))

Dorothy stared around the halls, Where can it be? She was sure she'd been searching for at least a good 15 minutes for the office. She turned around and saw a sign pointing to the office. Oh, I must have passed it up, she thought as she followed the sign. She saw a line heading through a door, I guess that's where I need to go. She wandered over and got in line.

I see she was an assassin from hell. No wonder why she had a familiar aura. I had to kill a couple back when I was still taking missions. She will be a very skilled student and she only has more room to get better. Glancing at her throwing stars he can see they were very rare and very powerful tools to have. Looks like we have a late arrival. Horatus is not going to like that.
