He nodded a little, and grinned, watching the boys quietly. He frowned, and looked over at Malen. "So, how long've you been a dad?" He asked, grinning a little. "I'd... honestly be a little more worried if they get stuck." He muttered. "I can't climb for my life." He snorted, and looked at Malen. "Never was a boy scout." He grinned.
"Okay!" Dorian did what Gil had suggested, and started to climb up to the long one next to the tree grass. He leaned over, and sniffed at it, and grinned. "This isn't grass, it smells sweeter than grass!" He said over his shoulder, looking back at Gil and then righting himself on the branch.
"I think this might be a good place to try!"
Christian sighed a little, and shook his head. "Mine's not as likely to kill himself, thanks." He teased, grinning at him. "Yours seems like a right risk-taker."

" About a year and half now. It's been a blast , plenty of ups and downs." Malen replied while stretching, it'd been a while since he'd been able to stay still for more than a few minutes. " I can climb and don't worry I was one, Got all my badges and everything." Oh but this man was fun to be around, he had a great sense of humor and was just generally a refreshing person.
Gil kicked at the tree trunk, his feet flailing about until they connected and he managed to shove himself up on a branch getting scraped up and filthy in the process. " It's tree grass so it's different." Gil was firmly of the belief that he knew what he was talking about. " Remember to wave your arms fast."
Malen laughed " This is true"

He nodded, and watched Malen stretch without really thinking about it. Wow, Chris was a little ho. Anyway! He grinned a little, and rolled his eyes. "At least one of us was." He grinned at him, and looked back to the kids, reaching up and itching his head absently. His hair was getting longer than he liked, he was going to have to have someone buzz it for him again.
Dorian blinked, and then nodded. "Makes sense." He grinned a little, and stood up carefully, walking himself towards the edge of the branch. He looked back and forth, and then nodded when he felt a breeze.
Dorian took the big leap first, and jumped off the edge of the branch, flapping his arms as fast as he could.
Christian's eyes went wide. "DORIAN!" He bolted to go catch his kid before he hit the ground, and got there in time to partially catch him from falling and breaking something.
Dorian's eyes went wide, and he didn't feel any pain, so he figured he was okay. Except... Christian looked maaad... "Hi Dad." He grinned up at him sheepishly.

Malenhad tensed when the young boy had leapt but it wasn't his place to act and two people running for the same target meant a likely collision instead of a catch. He'd been glad that Chris had succeeded in catching his son though.
"Hey you're not supposed to catch him." Gil yelled from his perch. " He's supposed to fly and land on his own."
Malen groaned, it figured this was Gil's fault. He looked apologetically at Christian " I am so sorry."

"Oooh." Christian fumed at Dorian's nonchalance. "You could've hurt yourself!" He looked up when he heard Gil, and couldn't help the amused smirk. "You don't have wings to fly, boys." He looked down at Dorian, and straightened him up.
"And you're incredibly lucky I got here to catch you, you could've broke your arm." Christian looked back, and smiled at Malen. "S'fine." He snorted. "I... really should've suspected something other than innocent tree climbing." He gave Dorian a pointed look.
Dorian felt it, and grinned sheepishly, looking down. "Just wanted to see if we could fly..." He mumbled, shrugging again.
Christian sighed, and rubbed his eyes. "Are you alright?"
"Mmhm."
"You gonna try to fly again?"
".... No..."
Christian nodded, and grumbled a little. "Go play." He sighed, and let Dorian go. Dorian went to the tree, and looked up at Gil, waving for him to come down.
"C'mon!" He urged, waiting for Gil to come down so he could do something that didn't involve flying.
Christian took the time to look exasperated. "If this is what I have to look forward to, someone check me into a psych ward now?" He muttered, snorting and looking at Malen. "Sheesh, kids."

Having learned nothing Gil hopped down from his branch only to be caught by his father. He swiftly wriggled from his arms and joined Dorian on the ground. " Hey you wanna go see if hazard and fade are back they are dragons but little ones and they are really cool?"
Malen sat down against the base of the tree" We can get a room togeather,"

Christian laughed, and sat next to Malen, shifting comfortably so he was leaning back on the tree trunk. "I'll reserve the room, alright?" He smirked at him, and then looked out after the boys.
Dorian nodded, grinning. "Alright." He nodded his agreement, waving for Gil to lead the way. "I never seen a dragon before!" He hadn't seen a lot of things before, technically, but that was okay.
Christian rubbed his eyes, sighing, and looked at Malen. "We should both take naps." He nodded sagely, and grinned. And then Christian grinned. "Or we can go get that room together." Oh no, he hadn't missed the possibly unintended double-implication of that statement.

Malen laughed and smiled " If they are going after the dragons we had better follow them. I'd like to have a house again later. But i do have a hammock on the porch that fit's two quite nicely" he said calmly" I wouldn't count on much room time anymore now that you're a parent.."
Gil grinned and began leading him towards the apartment he shared with is family." Fade is all dark and green and black and Hazard is all bright green and sorta crazy but fun" he informed the other boy.

Christian snorted, and sighed, rubbing his eyes. "Don't remind me. I'm going to have to find time to take Dorian down to my mother's, so Lorene can cut my hair." He mused, snorting a bit. Then he got up, and grinned. "A hammock sounds comfy." He held out his hand to help Malen get up. "Let's go chase after the short and hyperactive ones."
And hyperactive they may be, but dragons sounded fun! Dorian grinned and followed after Gil, nodding. "They sound fun." He grinned, and walked with Gil, looking around. "What's your home like?" He asked, looking over at him. His and Christian's only had two bedrooms, and it was fairly simple, but Christian had done the works to decorate it as much as he could, so... it felt cozy.

Malen allowed himself to be helped up with a laugh. " Good luck, babysitters have this tendency to become scarce. Though family is sort of obliged to help." Malen would have given his left arm for the help of his mothers and twin when he had first been chosen to raise children. " It's a very comfy hammock" he assured the other man" and the companies not that bad either".
" Big" Gil replied "and we have a porch and a hammock and everything is all white but we're gonna paint it and I get to choose my own room colour." Gil was very proud of this fact it was like a responsibility.

He grinned and walked with Malen after the boys, eying him. "I'm sure the company is just great." He grinned wickedly at him, then looked ahead, after the boys. "So, tell me about these daughters of yours?" He smirked at him, amused. "Lucky you, get to raise girls."
"That's what Dad did for me, I got to choose my own room color and my own bed." He grinned at Gil. To him it wasn't a big deal, because really, he couldn't see the colors all that well. A bed was a bed, walls were privacy. That's all. "What color're you gonna paint your room?" He asked, curiously.

The four reached the apartment and Malen opened the door letting the boys head down to hall in search of dragons. " Well when she was little Kishi might as well have been a boy for all she's part succubus. She learned to fight from me and spent most of her time adventuring and playing with her Drow friend. She''s a teenager now and lives on her own with a set of twins that came from a necklace. she makes a fairly respectable teen mother. probably becuase for all her rough and tumbleness she was always fond of kids and spending time with them."
He paused a moment to open the door to the porch and let them out onto it. " Del is a bit older than the boys and she's part dolphin, I was conned into taking her by the company that genetically created her. She had a superhero complex when she was young and I really never wanna here about sailor moon again becuase of it. Now she spends most of her time playing with her dragon.
He frowned thinking of how to explain his other child " Kay is well a prissy, girly girl with quite a bit of attention whore in her. But I've known her since she was a baby. she was my little superkay" he smiled at that memory.

"You look like you miss her." Christian said, after the door was closed to the porch and it was just them. "Do you see her often, or no?" He asked, walking over to the hammock and casually maneuvering himself onto it, comfortable.
"Del and Kishi sound like a fun pair." He smirked a little, and shook his head, tilting his head and eying him. "Talk about getting stuck with the weird bunch. Kay's... your ex's, isn't she?" He asked, frowning as he tried to think back to what Malen had said earlier about Coailiann. "That's got to be a bit messy."
Christian thought himself lucky that he and his ex didn't somehow have a kid. In Gaia, anything's possible. And having a miniature Sean running around wasn't on his priority list anywhere.

"Mm well I miss both Kay and Kishi though I was always closer to Kishi. We call each other every few days and I see her once every few weeks." He leaned against the the apartment wall and smile " It is messy but I still see Kay on occasion. Usually when Ianna isn't around."
Gil and Dorian entered a room only to have two blurs of colour swoop about their heads and chitter excitedly. " Hey hey it's hazard and fade. Try and grab em" Gil exclaimed.

Christian nodded, and shifted, laying on the hammock and shifting onto his side so he could still watch Malen. "At least you get to see them." He offered, smiling a little at him. "I don't think I'd be able to not see my kids." He muttered, looking down and frowning. The thought of Dorian leaving would sting, and he didn't know how he'd handle it.
But right now, Dorian wasn't going anywhere. Except after a very fast blur! "I'll get this one!" Dorian gave chase after the blur of color that looked like it was bright green. It must've been Hazard, unless Dorian was seeing the wrong colors. It wouldn't really surprise him.
