AIM RP

Aim rp between Anvion and Thalion.

Gillian:
Gillian walked slowly, hauling an over-stuffed bag on one shoulder. Rillian nearly had to crawl to keep up with the boy's pace. A normal walk would over-step the boy. They'd been out walking for hours, and just recently Chaco's manner was coming into view. Gillian had insisted on carrying his own art supplies. He was supposed to practice painting...and he was getting bored with Gabriel's estate.

Rillian:
"Really you are too stubborn..." the Jivvin huffed, laying his ears back against his mane.

Flitch:
It had been one of those days that was so perfect that even Flitch couldn't help but come outside to read. Granted, he loved his occasional outdoor excursions, but when it came to books he much preferred the quiet insides of the library or his room. He'd found a nice place out on the lawn, and was curled up in the pages of the unwieldy old tome he'd found in the library not an hour past. On occasion he would glance up to see just who or what was around, but his attentions for now were more on the book than the occasional passerby on the sidewalk.

Rillian:
"At least let me carry-" Rillian's offer was cut short by a sharp glare from the little milk boy. He wasn't tall, or old, but he could look edgey when he wanted to. "...very well..." The jivvin sighed.

Gillian:
"Mmm." Gillian continued to haul the large bag up the path. He was sweatting terribly but he'd grown tired of everyone helping him out. About ten minutes later, he could make out someone else on the lawn... Flitch?
Shadaloojunkie: As Gillian and Rillian approached, Flitch glanced up briefly to simply glance around. Imagine his surprise when he saw Gillian. The little milk Sin rarely ventured from home, as far as Flitch could recall.

Flitch:
"Hey Gil!" he called out with a lazy wave, marking his spot on the book before closing it.

Gillian:
Gillian smiled faintly. It was more than he'd done in a long time. Rillian couldn't help but smirk a bit. "Flitch! Hi!" He quickened his pace, dropping the bag to the ground to simply drag it over the lawn towards his friend.

Flitch:
"Hey," Flitch repeated as the little sin approached. "Don't see you out too much. How are things?"

Gillian:
"I'm not sick anymore." He smiled and plopped himself down in the grass with a puff. A little hand lifted up to wipe at his forehead, "And Rillian goes out with me. So I'm allowed if he's here."

Flitch:
"Oooh," Flitch responded in understanding. "That's good to hear." Huh. Only allowed with a guardian? The concept almost seemed alien to Flitch. "That's neat, though." A pause as he spotted the art set. "You come to paint?"

Gillian:
Gillian nodded and went about pulling out his collapsable easel. It was pretty small, perhaps made for dolls as part of a playset, but it was just Gillian's size. The canvas dwarfed him as he pulled it out and nearly fell over trying to get it settled on the easel. "I....wanna paint the mannor."

Flitch:
"The manor, huh?" Shifting around so he could get a better look at Gillian from sround the unwieldy canvas Flitch peered curiously at the blank sheet. "Neat. Can I watch?"

Gillian:
"If you want to." He was setting out a little plastic pallet. He had only three tubes of color- red, blue, yellow, black, and white, but he didn't seem all that concerned about it. "How are you doing?"

Flitch:
"Pretty good." The reply came with an idle shrug. "Just getting out for a bit. Noisy house and all that."

Gillian:
He nodded, "Too crowded. It's nice out now at least." He started mixing some of the white up with the blue, creating a very soft blue, he glanced up now and then, he was trying to match the sky's color to the one he was mixing. "I bet it's nice though... you can play with a lot of people."

Flitch:
Flitch half-shrugged. "Not really. It's more like babysitting so Anvion can get some sleep. They're almost all about your age, actually. In think you'd maybe get along with a few of them."

Gillian:
Gillian chuckled, "Gabriel says I'm more mature for my age. He thinks it's because I'm...under-...d...." he looked to Rillian.

Rillian:
"Physically under developed but mentally developed."

Gillian:
"Yeah...that."

Flitch:
Flitch nodded. "Sounds about right, actually. I mean, I've read it happening and..." he broke off, the train of thought losing itself. "Yeah."

Gillian:
"I don't mind." He shrugged. "I don't need to be big. I do my art...I don't have to be big for it so it's not a problem." He dabbed one of the paintbrushes in the blue and started smothering the canvas with it. "Smarter people are better anyway."

“I know I’m hardly a horse, but I I’m just as good.” Rillian offered as he dipped himself down. Gillian was bouncing up and down in a pathetic attempt to get himself onto the Jivvin’s back. Gabriel had taken the infants to town to get their shots updated. After that he had some errends to run, leaving both Gillian and Rillian at the estate.

The weather was warming up dramatically. Already the snow had melted from the ground and Gabriel’s garden was springing alive with buds of just about every color and size. Gillian had spent the last few days outside with his paint set, keeping Gabriel company as well as adding to the growing collection of paintings.

Today Rillian was going to take Gillian out, teach him the art of riding and begin some basic training. Nothing severe, he was a toddler after all, but things to stimulate his thought process and get him working his muscles a bit.

“You’re too tall!” Gillian puffed after his sixth attempt.

“Grab ahold of my mane, use that as a handle, don’t worry I’ll be fine.” He turned to watch the boy, “Then pull your weight up, throw one leg over and let your body follow through.”

Gillian nodded and did just as instructed. It took two attempts- the first time he hadn’t thrown his leg up in time- but the second time around he was securely on the Jivvin’s back, holding the dusty blonde mane firmly.

“Okay, now hold on with your legs mostly. That is the most important thing in a rider- use your legs, your arms will one day be put to better use.”

“…my legs?”

“Yes, just grip them like you might on monkey bars.”

“Oh…”, Gillian nodded and squeezed his legs a bit.

“Alright.” Rilllian slowly pushed himself up to a stand. He could feel Gillian wobble on his back, he wasn’t a strong lad at all… but such a simple exercise would begin building the necessary muscles in the boy’s legs to give him freedom later on in life.

“I will start out slow, just learn how to keep yourself on my back. Back straight, legs tight, hands settled and loose in my mane. If you can ride me, you can learn to ride a horse.” He slowly stepped forward, his thick, powerful shoulders rolling evenly as he moved. A jivvin was far more graceful than a horse ever would be. Where a horse would have loped harshly, Rillian nearly glided. It would work the boy up to a horse. With how he was struggling simply to remain mounted- it was a necessary step.

“You’re bobbing around too much.” Rillian pointed out.

“I’m sorry.” Gillian straightened himself up, but it only send him wobbling more. He grabbed for Rillian’s mane but just a moment too late- he was sent toppling to the ground, taking a handful of the Jivvin’s mane with him.

Rillian hissed between his teeth and bristled, resisting the urge to swear. He slowly took a few breaths before turning back to the milk boy sitting in the grass. Gillian looked horrified, glancing between the fistful of fur and the jivvin he had torn it from.

“It’s okay.” Rillian assured him, slowly giving a soft smile. “A great man is not one that never falls, but one that falls and gets back up.”
“Sorry…”, Gillian fidgeted a bit. “I…lost my grip.”

“It’s quite alright.” Rillian gave another smile, “If I wasn’t prepared to have my hair pulled out, I would never have offered.”

It had taken multiple attempts for Gillian to manage just holding onto the Jivvin and adjusting to his lope, more so to adjust to the steady trot and eventually the soothe but lengthy gallop. Many bruises and fistfuls of mane later, the two arrived at the jogging path just beside the local park. The path ran long around a large field- often times the scene of a rag-tag free style football game. Thankfully, it was vacant.

Gillian groaned as Rillian came to a stop and slowly dismounted himself. Rather, spilling himself to the ground.

"Not bad for a first try." The jivvin offered, quietly thanking the heavens for the relief to his mane.

"Mm...", Gillian nodded a bit and rubbed at his bum. This riding business was a bit harder than he thought it would be. The people in the books and out on the road made it look so easy. With Gabriel it was much easier.

"Honestly. It was not bad for your first time alone." He chuckled and settled himself down in the grass.

"Why....are we out here?" He looked around slowly, eventually settling his indigo eyes on the distant park.

"Well I thought if you could find some sticks, I should show you a bit of sword play."

"....", Gillian slowly glanced back towards Rillian, his brow creasing at the suggestion.

"I know it is a bit odd." The jivvin chuckled, "But trust that there are stranger things on gaia than a four-legged creature knowing how to hold a weapon. I do have a mouth afterall."

"Bizzare." Gillian remarked, though he instantly began scanning the area. There were a few trees not too far away from the jogging path. At the very least, he'd be able to pick up a few switches to practice with. It was better than doing nothing- and it would give him time to stretch out his legs.

"Well go on." Rillian nodded towards the trees, "Find us something to practice with."

"You're not coming?"

"I can watch you just fine from here." The jivvin smirked, "You need some exercise."

Gillian rolled his eyes. Of course he knew he needed exercise. Gabriel insisted that it might help strengthen his immune system. "Fine..."

The boy trudged himself over the small clearing toward the small treeline, his little hands tucking down into his pockets as he went. The distance, in all respects, really wasn't all that far. However, Gillian was still quite small for his age. What was an easy sprint for a child at his level was a long trudge for him.

Eventually he found himself scanning the ground over for any fallen switches or twigs. Eventually he managed to find a switch and three sticks of a suitable length. The boy took a moment to strip off some of the smaller branches from the sticks and peel off a bit of the bark before he bundled them up between his arms and trudged himself back.
