Andrea flushed slightly at the comment, hoping she wouldn't see as she quietly listened to her hum. She then wondered how she sounded when she sang, her mind drifting as she looked about them and listened to the soft humming coming from Evacy.

(ah..well, I could try finding some people, but I don't know how many would actually join..x.x sorry for screwing your roleplay up by being female~)

Noticing that she wasn't regarded beyond being told the name of the body of water she'd described, Lilith shrugged and went back to her sketch book. Flipping through some of the pages, smiling proudly at the drawings, she thought it might be nice since the intensity of the sun wasn't so bad right now to try and get a sketch of the sunset in. Going back to a clean page, she was just starting to draw when a photo she'd done in great detail fell to the ground. Stopping for a moment and struggling to bend down and pick the picture up with knocking over her backpack, Lilith retrieved a picture of her family, something she'd asked them to sit still for about an hour for and she went over it later to fill in all the great detail. She smiled at her family, thinking how much they put up with her rambunctious, her everlasting curiosity. They were so proud and so sad when she left, they knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for her, they just wished it was safer. Her entire family feared there was an army waiting to attack them if her people were to leave from underground. So with a heavy heart they said their goodbyes and Lilith promised she'd return as soon as possible. Tucking the picture carefully back into the middle of her sketch pad, she missed the conversation about the mountain, but was now looking for something to draw. Scanning the area, her eyes picked up a creature she hadn't remembered hearing about. Hey everybody, what's that? It was small, probably about the size of her hand and it's "arms" were long wide and flat, no head or legs were visible from where she stood, but it fluttered by absently, with no real destination it seemed as it made it's way from one colored plant to another, flowers she believed. It's not a bird, but it moves sort of like they described in school. Floating...flitting.... Taking out her pad, she sketched it quickly as it left one flower and made it's way to another.

Claire noticed the picture falling from the girl's book, and smiled. It was an amazingly well done drawing of a large group of people. Her family, she assumed. She missed her own family very much. She approached the girl, meaning to ask her about them, when she called the attention of the group to a small insect flying near by.
"It's not flying butter; it's a butterfly" Claire said softly "And it's a lot prettier than its image in the books..." She came closer, trying to take a better look without scaring it off. "They feed off flowers...and there are many different kinds."

((You guys, hold on a minute... please just wait to post until I find another person to join the roleplay. I'm gonna open for applications again for males only, so we can balance it out. I'm the only male here and that's not realistic as far as this roleplay goes. So I hope you all understand.))
Night set in deeply, and Kai could finally look around without squinting or shielding his eyes. It was relaxing. The moon made the river shine dully. He stopped walking, letting out a long sigh.
A butterfly... why is that the only creature we've seen so far?
Of course, it eased Kai's worries a little, but he was still deep in thought regarding just how powerful that plague was.
Kai sat down near the riverbank. "Everyone take a break. I'll explain our situation in a minute." He rested against the sign he'd been looking for all day- an enormous apple tree that grew right next to the river.
"I'm sure you're all hungry," he said with his charming smile. "The red fruits of this tree are apples, as you may know." He reached up and picked one growing close to the ground. Taking a bite, he sat back down and closed his eyes. "They taste very good. Unlike anything I'm sure we've ever eaten before. Everyone eat some. We're going to need our strength, because right now we are very close to that town. I want everyone to be prepared, we never know what we're going to find. We're not going to sleep- we're going to look around in the town. I chose night because I didn't want anyone to know we're there before we do. If there's anyone there at all, I mean."

There are no such things as coincidence.
