Alrighty then! I've put up a poll--let's see what the majority thinks.
Personally, I think a small-scale exchange is best.

@Eaten by cheese- How would you want to do the small scale one? :0 Like ask for interested people in the other guild to come and make a thread similar to yours?
@Baron- You might wanna make your own thread about the new guild before we get too horribly confused and people keep saying they don't want the large exchange program in GAU xD Sounds like a good deal on the guild. :0

ProjectOmicron88 hakeber Considering I actually do believe in a higher power, I don't see it as a bad idea. I'd just worry about attacks flying about. A neutral mediator would not be a bad idea. Who knows an agnostic?? I could easily be a neutral mediator! I always keep a cool head--and I've been able to regulate the 'Ask an Atheist' thread in a theist guild without any sparks flying. 3nodding
Oh, yes. Shall I post about an exchange program in the Christian guild I'm in?

I am not against an exchange program, per se. I mean, everything here is voluntary anyway, so I do not think people will be forced into doing anything against their will.
That being said, I enjoy being in the GAU so I can have a place to talk and debate with other atheists. Not theists, not emo river surfers united, not sewing machine repair enthusiasts, and not alien love buddies, but atheists. Of course, I am new here, so my 2 cents is actually probably only worth a small amount of lint.
And yet, do we not already have a place where atheists and theists can meet to exchange ideas? I believe it is called EXTENDED DISCUSSION. Ahem. We already have the opportunity to mingle with many other groups of people, but how many opportunities do we have for a place that is solely our own?

I understand why people enjoy this guild, Rohkaze, and I'll just say you don't need to worry about that changing :] What's actually going on now-> Baron von Turkeypants is working on a separate guild for a larger exchange program. Eaten by Cheese might (I don't know if it is under way yet or not) get someone to come in from the christian guild he visited to make a thread in our Q&A subforum.
I agree and don't want to see a program within the guild get very large either. 3nodding

I would be more likely to be involved if it was a separate, external guild where the exchange would happen, because that way I could join and post when I felt like it instead of feeling obligated to check it every day.
I agree that an exchange program here should be small (perhaps confined to one thread?), but I think it's a good idea overall.

Oh, yes. Shall I post about an exchange program in the Christian guild I'm in? I actually don't think it's too hard to keep things civil, especially if both sides approach it seriously. I mean, hell, my Ask An Atheist thread in the GD (of all places for civility!) has stayed civil with little prompting.
