Corbin grunts lightly when Oceanid had rested against him. He didn't know what to do at the moment. To continue let her do this or shrug it off and say its not for him. To do the latter, he chose the first one since it felt really nice.

Oceanid cuddled close to him, when she realised he wasn't going to shove her away or anything like that. Her wings folded in tight against her back to avoid bonking him in the face with them.

Corbin looked ahead at the setting sun on the lake's horizon. It wasn't really that much, but when you look to the east towards the Telruyna City, it seem that the city far away seem to be basking in the low light of the sun. "Hmm.. magnificant," he murmured, his white angelic wings spread out width-wise and enfolded them to protect Oceanid from the nightly cold.

Oceanid unwound her arms from around his, choosing instead to lace them around his neck carefully. That way they would both be more comfortable.

She looked back for a moment, feeling the brush of feathers against her back then her gaze flicked up to Corbin, with the far off look in his eyes. The water colored pae rested her head against his shoulder again, watching the sunset. Her long dark blue hair spilled over his shoulder, strands brushing against his neck, back and wings.

"I do like the island in the low light of the evening. Makes everything more mysterious-like," Corbin mused to Oceanid as he looked up at the sky and sigh softly, seeing the tiny pricks of light showing up, one by one against the darkening of the sky above them. "It seem that the night is in a rush to envelop us both in all its wonders," he said, not really noticing that he had said that aloud.

He felt warmth against him, and turned his eyes towards Oceanid, noticing she was totally against him, arms and body and all. He didn't mind this anymore. They seem to transcend the phase of comfortableness and just settle for warmth of each other. "Don't you agree?" he murmured, thinking it was just perfect for the night, not talking aloud but murmuring or whispering to allude the senses of the impending night.

Oceanid sighed contentedly as she listened to his words. Corbin was quite the poet and it was a beautiful thing. "Mhm." Her voice was low. "It's beautiful out here...I'm glad I have someone to share it with."

"It is really nice," Corbin said as he looks down; glad that Oceanid doesn't think him weird to say those things. Even if he said those things at home, he would've been beaten up his older brother and probably think be weird by his other brother and parents. "Hey.. if you don't mind. I would like to stay out here with you. That is.. if you dont mind," he said, looking down at Oceanid.

"No...of course I don't mind. I like having company." Oceanid ran a hand lightly over the side of his throat. "Especially on nice nights."

Corbin sigh lightly, not sad, but completed as if he was with someone he extremely liked. There are no words right now, only a sense of completion unfurling within him. He took her hand from running over side of his throat and kisses it, before holding it with his own while looking ahead of himself.

For a few more hours, wrapping them in the darkness. He went off to fetch some sticks to set up a small bonfire for them on the beach, away from the forest and away from the water as to not damp the sight. He wanted to warm Oceanid from the chill in the night air. This is what they did, all night until they fell asleep. The bonfire itself blew out an hour later after they slept, wrapping them in the seemingly everlasting darkness of the night itself.

Many hours later, the sun was rising over the horizion, sending its ray of light over the sleeping couple on the beach.

The chill seemed to lift as dawn rolled around, the first rays of the morning light spread over the water of the lake eventually falling onto the beach where the pair of blue pae slept.

Oceanid rolled over when the light reached her eyes, grumbling, now barely awake. She didn't want to get up just yet. The water demon was a rather lethargic creature when first roused. She rolled onto her stomach to hide her eyes from the growing light, only then noticing the warm presence next to her.

She peaked over her forearm to see who it might be. "Corbin?" It came out in a little confused, sleepy murmur.

Corbin was out like a light. He wasn't a morning pae'il at all. Typically if one of his brothers woke him up in the morning, he'll stuff their faces with a pillow of his own. His face was partially into the sand, but woke up when the sun light had hit them fully over the trees. "Uggh..." he groans, then looks up, half-asleep still. "Ocy..? what you doing in my dreams..?" he said then picks himself up. "This isn't a dream... is it morning already?" he yawned, then looks at Oceanid and blinks, then smacks his lips and sigh. "You hungry? ..I'm good at cooking fish," he said, then grumbles as he moves, then got up from the sticky sand.

"Not hungry...tired!" Oceanid rolled onto her side and curled up once Corbin moved to stand. She whined and hid her face against the sand again. Definately not a morning pae.

Corbin chuckled as he got up and went again to clean up the bonfire. This time he gathered like seashells from the beach ti make a small circle, then set up some extra dry sticks. He then went over to the water. This all had taken him about maybe 15 minutes, give or take a couple seconds.

Now.. to get the fish. Oh great.. theyre in the water where he won't go. He stared down at the soft lapping of the wave. "No time like the present," he said, then close his eyes and grimaces, moving into the water. A groan here and there, as he moved up to his knees. He looked down. "...crap.." he said as he looked around, far from the shore. Starting to get anxiety attaks, he breathed then repeated the phrase 'for oceanid.. for oceanid," he murmured over and over and lean over, waiting to catch some fish.

After a short while the demon pae sat up and stretched lazily, fluttering her wings to get the sand off. Seeing that the fire had been fixed she glanced up and down the beach, looking for Corbin.

Something moving in the water attracted her gaze. It was the angel pae. "Corbin?" She got up, moving at a quick pace toward the water, it looked as if the angel pae was panicking. Oceanid moved to his side and leaned over. "You okay?"

Corbin seem to chant the mantra over and over, trying to catch a fish. However, it didn't seem to work as he got distracted by Oceanid. "Oh? AHH!" he shrieked, letting go of the fish as it went flying through the air and landed bak into the water. His shock had landed him flat in the water, butt-wise.
