Kirayalin nodded and gave a half-smile when introduced, then immediately turned back to her task. She secured the knots and then nimbly climbed the rigging. It was true enough that she was the best in the crew at balancing and climbing, and she was often put on lookout duty. She replaced Rakiel as soon as they cleared port and he climbed down more slowly as she scanned the horizon for signs of trouble.

*Maya gave a big, bright smile back at Kirayalin. "Nice to meet you," she said sincerely. Absently she heard one of the crew say something about Tabitha. She was so excited that she didn't come back to earth until she heard Tabitha's angry response. She watched in amazement as the crew member, Pere she thought she heard his name called, writhed in pain, and clutched at his throat. All of a sudden he was suspended in the air and then dropped. In a split second, Maya put all of this together: Tabitha was a demon, she was 271 years old, she couldn't die, and she had mind powers, not unlike Maya's. "Wow. That was some display," she told Tabitha, after she had commanded the crew to get back to work. "You're obviously quite powerful. Even if you were mortal, you still would be." Maya decided to go silent and waited for Tabitha to give her an assignment.

"well 271 years with humans trying to maul me helped a bit." Tabitha shrugged and slipped on a pair of sunglasses not wishing to hurt anyone else with her eyes, one thing she hates sometimes was if she looked to deeply into a persons eyes her mind would kick into gear and toture them. she shook her head and grunted, whisking away the thought of her dead mother...She turned back to Maya and said "You can go down into the works and make sure everything is lookin good down there, we dont want to crash."

They were currently heading straight for a cloud, so there wasn't much for Kirayalin to do. She sat on the edge of the crow's nest and idly swung her foot to and fro and watched several of the other crew members while they worked, occassionally scanning the sky for other ships. She wondered if they were actually going to pass through the cloud. If they did she was going to get wet.

*Maya nodded at Tabitha and went down to check on the mechanics. The wooden stairs creaked as she went below deck and into the boiler room. She inspected everything, moving slowly around the room to make sure that she didn't overlook anything. So far so good, she thought. Then she saw some movement out of the corner of her eye. She looked to see what was there. Nothing. Maya opened the door, went on the other side of it and closed it, pretending to go back on deck. As soon as she heard the scuttling sounds coming from the boiler room, she barged back in. Standing in the middle of the room was a small boy, twelve at the oldest, with a wide-eyed look upon his face. They both stood still for a moment and then the boy tried frantically to run away. Maya used her thoughts to bind the boy's limbs, so he couldn't move. She spoke calmly, trying not to frighten him, "It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you. Are you a member of the crew?" The boy nodded his head yes, but she could tell he was lying. "What are you really doing here?" The boy would not answer, so she brought him up to the deck. "I found a stowaway," she announced.

Tabitha looked over at maya and frowned lightly, moving the steering wheel so they would avoid the huge cloud billowing toward them "hmmm..." she sighed and said lazily walking over to maya "should i throw him overboard..?" something registered in her eyes "He looks only about a year or to younger than me when i died..." tabitha looked a bit scournful then said "let him live, maybe if hes lucky i'll bite him" she giggled and turned back to the wheel.

*Reluctantly, Maya released the boy to let the other crew members deal with him. Hopefully they wouldn't be too rough with him. Then again, maybe being roughed up was a good thing considering what the boy was getting himself into. Maya noticed a slight tremor in the movement of the ship, but it went back to sailing smooth right away. Then, the ship started to lurch violently in the air. The ship began to descend down the 9 miles there were to the ground, getting faster every second. Maya's voice rose above the hollers of the crew to the young boy she had just found, "WHAT DID YOU DO!?"

Looking a bit cross Tabitha raised her small arms and the boat came to a jerky stop, her eyes were engulfed with a purple like glow, the ship was covered in this glow too. "Now boy" she said turning to the cowering stowaway, that was looking a bit guilty "i know that you didnt mess with my gravitational lifters now did ya?" a small grin broke out on her face, showing long silvery fangs. if you were watching tabitha closely you would have seen how she bit the boy, she jumped up flipping over the mast and landing without one speckle of sound , behind him. Her fangs sank deep into his neck. and he fell to the floor motionless. when she looked back up, her fangs were caked with dark blood. "maya go back down and fix the lifters, its not very hard.." she gave maya the derections to fix them and then said "ok people he'll be getting back up in a few hours and he'll be hungry so stay clear. i'll take care of it after that"
Tabitha felt a little bad for biting the boy, but it was the only way she would get the boy to cooperate, it was sort of the rules f demonism or whatever, the one who bit you was your master until you could take care of yourself.

Kirayalin winced as the Captain bit the boy. It may have been the only way to get his cooperation, but it was still a pretty rough induction to life on the ship. It also singled him out from the rest of the crew. Until he proved differently, he was now their inferior and she knew that some of the crew members wouldn't hesitate to make that obvious. She sighed. The boy had chosen his fate when he stowed aboard. Kirayalin turned away.

*Maya felt stupid. Instead of making herself useful and stopping the ship like Tabitha had, Maya had just yelled at the boy. She then used her mind to bring the ship back to its original height, but did so slowly so that certain members of the crew would not get motion sickness. After that, she went back down to fix the lifters. All the while, she thought about what Tabitha had done to the boy. She sank her long fangs into him. Had she turned him into a demon? She told the crew to stay clear because he was hungry meaning that the rest of them were probably on the menu. Things had certainly gotten off to a stange start. At least, it was strange to Maya. For all she knew, this was normal. Heading back onto the deck, Maya decided to take a break and just watched for a while as they flew over the clouds.

Tbitha assumed her position back at the wheel and steered them through the clouds, rather annoyed, it was much to windy in this part of the dome and they needed to get up to the top before the mid day gusts reached there ship. She angled the ship into an upward climb. the boy stirred , tabitha had tied him to the mast so he wouldnt try to eat her crew when he awoke.

*Maya clumsily tried to push her hair out of her face. The wind was blowing it everywhere. Frustrated, she turned in the direction opposite of where the wind was blowing, so that it took the hair out of her face. Out of the corner of her eye, Maya saw something strange. She looked in that direction. There appeared to be little black dots in the distance that weren't there before. She stared at them for a couple of minutes, and dismissed them. She didn't know what they were, but she assumed that they were harmless. Maya then saw a leakage coming out of one of the rum barrels and went to go clean up the mess, and fix the hole.

"I see... cloud." Kirayalin muttered. She was at a weird angle as the ship climbed and she could see cloud straight ahead, and at every side except where the ship was. She usually enjoyed this bit but the clouds were a greyish colour and if they turned out to be wet she was going to be the first person to notice. She grinned despite herself. How else did one know that they were alive inside this great glass ball?

*Maya was looking around for something to do when she again noticed her previous observation. The little black dots from before were coming so much closer at a very fast rate. Maya began to see that they were other ships. Maya waited, frozen, until one ship pulled up right along side the Crouching Weasel.

((Sorry guys that i havent been on...=())
Tabitha looked crossly to her side seeing the ship, it was the police or as she usually called them "rats" and the particulary annoying officer landon. She scowled. "what the hell is this?" landon said a smirk-smile plastered on his near perfect features. But tabitha straight past the beautiful features, he was a sky officer only because of them, so we may distract the captains, most captains were women.
"dont act like you dont know"
tabitha spat angrily.
Then she sent out the signall it was a low almost inaudible growl, but tabitha was sure the crew kne what she meant. it was the signal to beat the s**t out of this guy and all of his other ships. She jumped forward, off the boat and the strangest thing was she was floating in the air. Tabitha focused on bending the gravitional pull as she smacked landon in the head with her fist.
