Ulrich nodded at Elnara to answer her question, then turned to Lore. His serious expression disappeared, and he grinned again. "Yes," he nodded. "I want to know how you two met and how everything went from there."
He chuckled. "And I could tell you the same about myself and my wife, but I'm afraid our story is rather dull, for the most part."
Well, compared to some, anyways. He knew their story was unique.
He led them all to sit at the outside table so that they could be comfortable while they spoke.

The children followed them outside and scattered to explore, and Elnara took a seat at the table with Ulrich and Lore.
Storm crawled out of her arms and onto the table, then jumped down to the bench and then to the ground to join the older children in their exploring.
Starr fidgeted in Lore's arms, trying to follow the others.

Lore smiled a bit, though it was a bit embarassing to think anyone would be that interested.
"Ours isn't that interesting, it's a normal meeting," he smiled a bit more, "A normal chance meeting."

Ulrich chuckled a bit. "There's nothing normal about meeting in another world," he quipped light-heartedly. "Come on. I know you can't tell from here, but we're completely isolated out in these mountains - most of the time it's a good thing. On the other hand, we are rather starved for news at the moment."
He leaned back comfortably and smiled easily. "So come on. Indulge me."

Starr fidgeted out of Lore's arms and ran to join her twin. They disappeared behind the house, in the direction of the river.
Elnara grinned and leaned gently against Lore, slipping her hand into his.

"Well...." Lore murmured watching the twins run off before looking at Ulrich.
He thought about it, the events that led up to how they met, it wasn't that long ago, but it was hard to imagine his life without all of them now.
"Elnara works at the cafe that Triton owns," he explained, "And... my assistants who help me, suggested the cafe as a place to read, and relax. They had been bothering me to rest for a while, so one night I took a visit there, and it was just Elnara and Celebor at the time."

Elnara blinked and flushed a little. "Actually," she murmured into Lore's ear, "I keep forgetting to tell you ... Triton made me co-owner last week."
Inside the house, sparkles started coming out of the vase at an increased rate - like a fireworks display that wasn't dangerous. The movement was audible now - but out of everyone's view.

Ulrich raised one eyebrow. "Wow, Elnara, you're certainly doing well for yourself. How much property do you own now?"
He glanced at Lore. "Did she tell you she owns some property here that's worth more than any other piece of land in the entire Four Lands, other than the capital cities of the countries?"

Lore shook his head, "No I don't... well... Elnara had mentioned the plantation, but the amount of property was never mentioned over all," he shrugged, "Just never thought about talking about it."
Property amount never came up, and there was no point to it.

Ulrich grinned. "Well, if you get the chance, I highly recommend going to visit there. They make the best wine in all of the Four Lands, so if you like wine that's the place to get it from."

Meanwhile, inside, the sparkle show ended abruptly as the vase fell over onto its side. It spun once and came to a stop, and a tiny child crawled out. She had long black hair that was longer than she was tall, and she had golden eyes and dusky skin. She wore a long gown-style dress of royal purple with gold trim, and a silver circlet with a blue gem in it that rested just above her pointed ears.
She sat for a few moments, swaying slightly dizzily.

"That sounds like an idea," Lore nodded in agreement though he would wait to see how Elnara felt about that, "It would be an interesting place to see."

"What about you?" Ulrich asked with a grin, leaning back and putting his hands behind his head. "As I recall, Donovan said something about you being a librarian or something?"

The tiny elvish child got slowly to her feet and looked around. She could hear ... things.
She spotted an open door and started wandering through the house.

Lore nodded to confirm that, "Yes, I'm the librarian for the public library in the city. I spend my time managing the books, doing research and doing translations," he explained.
Since as far as he knew, public libraries didn't really exist here.
