Kuval just stared and listened as Angathi spoke~ and, considering the fact that so many lovely pieces were around him, it made him realize that he and Mishos must have been strong and successful!

"I am glad you brought me here." he almost choked out of himself, and he brought his nervous eyes on Angathi. "It.. explains a lot. No wonder you were so proud of Mishos, you two must have been quite the team." Kuval was completely uncomfortable, but he tried not to show it to Angathi.

Kuval wondered if prying stories out of Angathi would keep him more at ease, rather then dwelling on the death that hadn't seemed to leave him be. "Yes.. I see now."

What could the stallion say? Even if he had a marvelous speech, it wasn't like Angathi was going to listen. "So, what now?" he asked, only in a more concerned matter. There was the future to grasp on to, and it didn't seem like Angathi was interested in that at all. Everything concerned Mishos for this stallion, and there was no other way around it.

Angathi let go of the spear and went to the hummingbird-like-contraption. It was always his personal favorite. They had gotten it after saving a lost Merlock from Land-er nets. It just so happened she was from a rather important family that had access to many wondrous things.... and they had given them the interesting 'toy'.

The Kelpi stood and smiled down at it. The creature turned and looked up to Angathi as though it recognized him and was happy to see him there. It opened it's mouth and a lovely trilling sounded in the water. Angathi hummed the tune back.

Without looking at Kuval, his smile broadened. "Now, Kuval... I'll have to kill you.... for no one else is allowed to see the wonders of Mishos and survive." His voice was serious, and the way the light gleamed off his teeth, it seemed that he was really going to do it - or at least try.

For a moment, all was peaceful, and Kuval just watched Angathi comfortably. But, in a moments breath, Angathi stated that he needed to -kill- Kuval.

"Alright NOW LOOK." Kuval smacked his hoof on the ground, and raised his voice dramatically. "I have done NOTHING but been nice to you, and even tried to HELP YOU. I know you are a Knight and everything, but don't think I am a weakling or anything- I have backbone TOO, I WILL FIGHT BACK. I am SICK and TIRED OF THIS, GAAAH! You aren't even listening to anything I say!!" With a dart, Kuval raised himself in the water and felt furious at this stallion.

All of his efforts this entire time were like a joke, or at least, that's how Kuval was taking all of this.

"JUST, WHATEVER, MAN. I can't believe I had FAITH in you!" he was flushed with anger and confusion all at once. He was too distracted to even consider the thought of dying, and his emotions were flailing.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 22, 2007 8:40 am

The trilling of the creature Angathi watched changed, it was high pitched and fast. It swam in its home in circles. When it stopped it looked to the angry Kuval and, tossing its head trilled some more.

Angathi's smile had fallen from his face, and his cheeks looked very tense. Finally, the stallion couldn't hold it in anymore. He started to laugh. Angathi was laughing so hard, that he floated to the ground and started rolling there. His deep voice echoed through the cavern - even though they were in water. For some reason, he just couldn't stop.

That went on for awhile, and the stallion lifted his head, smiling brightly, with eyes sparkling in humor as he looked at Kuval. "Relaaaax. I'm not going to kill you! If that was my intention, I would not have taken the time to bring you here. And besides...." Angathi struggled to his feet. Once he was steady on his hooves, the stallion shook himself - getting dangerously close to dislodging his ruined bridle.

He looked serious for a moment as he looked Kuval in the eyes, "You're a Kelpi. Whether you like it or not, you are someone I swore to protect - even though you didn't grow up with our tribe. Now, if you were to attack a Kelpi or Mer.... then that sentiment would change. But Knights don't believe in needless killing; we kill only to protect the ones we serve."

The moment passed, and the pleasure of the joke again reflected in his eyes and manners and Angathi shook his head with a chuckle.

((Oh, evil boy! ^^; ))

Kuval cooled himself off, but was still genuinely pissed at the situation. "MAN YOU ARE ANNOYING." he finally said, spitting his own saliva into the water.

He drifted away from Angathi, sort of floating aimlessly in the water. He couldn't really express to Angathi the anger and frustration that was coiled inside him, and after a moment of silence, he just sighed to himself.

"It probably would have just been better for me if you killed me." He said, with a loud snort. Maybe that would end up saving Kuval's sanity! At this point- he really had nothing else that he wanted to say to the stallion, and he was flushed up in a ball of emotion.

"Ah, what do I do now?" Kuval muttered to himself, and his eyes were still avoiding the strange Angathi. Why was he dragged into this mess? It was only making Kuval more stressed out!

Angathi stopped his humorous tone and looked back to Kuval. It would appear that he pushed the other stallion to the edge and three paces past it... He watched the other's little outburst with a curious head cocked to the side to listen.

"Well.... I suppose these are your choices," Angathi swished his tail from side to side. "You could: get angry, attack me, and most likely lose; do some more screaming and maybe have that give some relief to any pent up anger or frustrating; swim out of here in a huff, and probably get lost in this mountains' maze for the rest of your life - which wouldn't be long; or.... you could have something to eat; I could lead you out of here safely; or maybe you wanted to do something else. What you do, of course, shall be your choice."

Kuval was still acting babyish, and his eyes were off of Angathis for awhile.

His options were pretty obvious anyways, and he grumbled for a second before speaking. "I'm hungry." he stated, and then quickly shot Angathi a gloomy look. "I'll obviously need you to lead me out of here, so I pick those too." Though, getting lost might help him thing and regain his sanity! Heh, but he was surely too tired for that.

But, whether Kuval wanted to admit it or not, he was calmed down at this point, and he brought his feet back on the oceans floor comfortably. "Are you hungry?" he asked randomly, wondering if he was the only one with hunger pains. Maybe that's why he was so grumpy. "I don't know why but- this all made me starving."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 23, 2007 10:09 am

Angathi paused as he chewed his answer over. Was he hungry? Nowadays he never really knew. There was always an emptiness in the pit of his stomach, and he found early on that no amount of food could fill that. So, that lead him back to the current predicament. "I may be hungry..... not quite sure. But I'll bring back some food. Back in flick of your tail!"

With that, the stallion left and went back into the darkness. When he returned, he had a bouquet of different sea greeneries, all wrapped up nice and tight. Angathi set it down by Kuval and then went to a natural bed of rock to make himself prone to rest. "Eat up, Kuval. These ranges are barren, for the most part. Only a couple secret places have the ability to grow any food. And only strange creatures exist in the deeper levels."

The way he spoke, it was as if they were going on an adventure.... maybe they were and maybe they weren't.

As Angathi watched Kuval eat, he realised he wasn't hungry; maybe he had eaten recently.

((I wasn't sure what Kelpi's ate.... I am assuming seaweed and the like xD Also, didn't know how much more you wanted to RP, especially since it seems Kuval's almost emotionally drained by Angathi's antics. <3 ))

(( I am happy to keep RPing XD You'll KNOW when Kuval can't do it anymore XD ))

Wow, he really had brought some food back quickly! Kuval had turned his attention away to mope for a moment, and before he could turn back, Angathi had arrived with all sorts of stuff!

"Well thanks." he said, eyeing the bundle. He dove his nose into carefully, and started gnawing on bits of seaweed. Kuval was suprised, the seaweed was really good! "This is delicious." he grunted, though kept his eyes of Angathi. Of course he was thankful for the food, but he surely wasn't gonna tell him that! It was pretty obvious that Angathi thought he was weak anyhow.

"I still am confused where we are." he said, after chewing many pieces of seaweed. "Why would you choose a place so creepy and scary? I can understand for hiding purposes, but jeez, this place is just.. barren?" Ugh, he for SURE didn't want to wind up there forever.

Angathi had effectively lolled on the rock. His fins moved ever so slightly in the slight current of the cavern. The finned tail drooped down where it unceremoniously flopped on the floor. The Knight's head was leaning against the wall as his legs were splayed for optimal comfort. Angathi's eyes were closed, and a deep yet quiet rumble formed in his throat - almost as if he was purring.

The stallion's lips curled up in a smile before he spole, remembering memories of time past before he committed such to words. "This.... was a training ground for the Knights of my tribe. Kelpi and Merlock would have to work together to not only survive but learn from this range. As I mentioned, food is rare and hard to find... just as it is out in the Sea while on missions or scouting. You may go many days without food. As I also said, there are strange creatures hidden in the depths. Some will leave one alone, but others will attack without provocation. The Knights must learn to not only avoid such aggressive creatures, but also to find ways to convince them that they do not want to find. Of course, such efforts are not always realized.

"Knights also learn to protect and serve when the opponent is not another Knight, controlling their movement so as not to harm. Almost all creatures around this area could kill a young Knight - Kelpi or Merlock - whether they mean harm or not."

Angathi opened one eye and looked at Kuval, "In short, this was the place of the final test. All of the training ends here. Those that survive become full Knights, and that is the only requirement for this exercise - survive."

He closed his eye, and squeezed them both shut tightly. "Mishos and I, after many years of service, practically retired to become instructors. We became one of the few that taught those trainees that came here for the Final Test. As all those that came here to 'retire', we quickly learned to navigate its secretive and deadly passages."

Angathi took a breath, and there was a long pause before he continued. "The last group to come here was young and inexperienced. But Knights were a dying kind, as many didn't understand their purpose or importance. They were getting desperate, and at the time there was still some prestige that came with Knighthood. As such, the training process had become lax, and the group that came here was completely unprepared.

"They had many close calls with the inhabitants here... until finally a group of three provoked a shark, and were not ready when the creature attacked. I guess they lucked out... Mishos and I were around. We were able to same them, but not....." Angathi's voice cracked and trailed. It was still too much, to much for him to tell the whole story and actually end it with Mishos's impending death.

Kuval remained silent for a matter of minutes after Angathi had told his story. It was the most Angathi had said about himself this entire time, and Kuval really didn't find it necessary to say anything.

For awhile, they both just sat and thought, or at least that's what Kuval assumed Angathi was also doing. Kuval had commented to the best that he could earlier, so now he just sat, hopefully showing Angathi that he had listened.

But then finally, he got the will to speak. "I am glad.. you told me all of this." he glanced back at Angathi now, with his normal bright eyes. "Its important to see whats out there.. because you shouldn't be dealing with this on your own. But, I don't think there is anything I can do.."

The comment made Kuval feel weak, and this was the way that it always was. He never could help anybody, he only seemed to be a nuisance all of the time. If only there was something he could do or say to help Angathis situation.. but at this point, there really seemed to be nothing. "I'm sorry" he said, quietly.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 23, 2007 6:34 pm

Angathi rolled his head to Kuval's direction and opened his misty red eyes. "Why are you glad? As you've said, they isn't anything you can do about the situation. Others had tried to 'help', but in my experience pity and relief that it isn't you is not going to make anyone feel any better." The stallion turned his head as he started to move, "You'll probably leave too, they always do."

With a grunt of effort, the Knight pushed off from the rock to stand. He shook himself off, necklace falling back into place.

"Come, let's go see what some of the kinder creatures of this barren land are up to these days!" Angathi walked to a different exit of the cave, knowing full well the other stallion would most likely be following - and closely.

As they left, the creature trilled a tune before falling silent once again.

Getting frustrated again, Kuval raised his neck, and lowered his brows. "Well, have I left yet? Maybe you shouldn't assume things on everybody, I never said I was leaving, or even implied that I would give up on you." with a snort, he stood up, noticing that the other Kelpi was starting to do so as well.

What the heck was Angathi saying? Well, either way, Kuval took it as they were leaving that creepy place, so he was relieved by such. Though, before he quickly approached where Angathi stood, he turned and looked at the sanctuary one more time, hoping to place an image in his mind forever. It was good to know these truths about Angathi, and maybe he would learn something about himself from the experience. Ah, just thinking in that way made Kuval feel mushy and lame, and he shook his head quietly.

And with that, he turned his attention back on the stallion, and quickly went to follow him out of the crazy area. Kuval moved his feet quickly, since he was working hard to not lost track of Angathi. If anything, he did NOT want to be stuck in there forever.

Angathi lead them out of the pitch black tunnels. They emerged once more out in the open; this time, in a new area of the underwater range. Of course, it all looked the same, so who really knew?

With a smile, Angathi looked back, "Over here!" The Kelpi went under a ledge. On the other side was a clearing (much like a valley if they were on land). Still, no plants but there was coral and some very interesting creatures. One of them came over.

She was very colorful, made in pinks and blues and yellows. She twisted in the water as she came near. She was built like a strange fish, long and truly finless. On the bottom of what might be her belly was two layers of fringelike flaps... and as she moved it was aparent that this was how she moved in the water. As she approached, she smiled with her wide lips, stalkish eyes going from the Knight to the Koi and back. "What have you brought, Knight?"

Angathi bowed his head to her. She was about the size of an eel, but not nearly as long. "Hello, Dear. I've brought a friend, this is Kuval."

Dear looked back to Kuval, her eyes shining warmly, "Ahh, a Knight-in-training?

The stallion chuckled, "No one that I know of... but he may have the kindness of one... we'll just have to wait and see, won't we?"

The creature nodded to the white and red kelpi, "Regardless... welcome Kuval, companion to the Knight Angathi."

((Omg, I couldn't think of anything... so developed a giant sea slug XD <3333 I love them!... different than the one Angathi is based off.... ))

(( XDDD Awww <3 ))

Kuval was still acting a tad moody until he noticed Angathi smiling at him again. Now where were they going? This was getting more complex by the second!

Before he could ask, he followed Angathi and noticed something strange swimming towards them. What the hell? Was he dreaming or something?!

At least it wasn't dangerous.. or at least he imagined not! Kuval only listened and nodded as Angathi spoke of him, and when he noticed he was addressed, he only grinned. "Thanks." he said, a bit exhaustedly, but he tried to cue his voice into something friendly.

He was starting to get a better idea of where they were- it was still a bit far off from where Kuval was before, but the area was starting to look more familiar then in that cave thing. "So.. what is all of this?" he said, turning to Angathi. Today was just.. quite an adventure, wasn't it? Though Angathi seemed to be enjoying himself, much more then when they first started off!
