Bellamin backed away, holding his sword infront to ward off the scarab. He took one more step before quickly summoning the spirit whisp. They attacked the scarab advancing towards them. Bellamin kicked the scarab away again, letting the whisp heal him.

ronin attacks the same scarab. he uses smash, and a normal attack

Kitai and Ronin again team up against the first Scarab with an attack of 9, dealing 13 damage together, plus another 7 damage from Ronin's Smash. The assault brings the creature down, but it's not going down easily. It uses Retaliate, bringing its damage to Kitai up to 10. (Kitai Shield Bash retroacted to Defensive Hold.)
Bellamin's Wisp moves in to attack the Scarab, but Gonzu's fireball is able to finish it and the Scarab lets loose a Lightning Shell, damaging the Wisp for 6 damage. Before being taken down, he also hits Bellamin for 14 damage, though Bellamin manages to defend 1 of those points of damage.
At the end of the battle, here is where you stand:
Bellamin: 5/20, 1 AP, 0 MP. Ronin: 35/35, 1 AP, 2 MP. Gonzu: 15/15, 2 AP, 0 MP. Kitai: 10/20, 0 AP, 2 MP.
Party pool: 2 AP, 2 MP.
The scarabs are down. You've managed to find your way out of the maze and in another odd room. Ahead of you are more stairs to go down. To your left, a massive doorway with a stone image of a sword above it. To your right, another massive doorway with a stone image of a ball of fire above it.

EDIT: Oh nevermind. I get it. Hugemongous combat dice on that sucker.
Well then, Could I change my action to defensive hold please. Didn't realize just what dice that scarab was packing.

Gonzu looks from side to side at the two immense doors and the stairway. "Allright gentlemen," He indicates Bellamin and Ronin "And savage" He indicates Kitai, "I suggest that we tackle whatever foe is hiding behind the sword image door. I am sure we are fully capable of fending off purely physical foes. I have a feeling that the fireball door will be more magical in nature. Well then, are we agreed?"
((Once we meet the next enemies I will cast Heal on Bellamin and then Kitai. Polk, if you would summon your gargant right away and try to keep Bellamin and yourself out of harms way that would be wonderful.))

Bellamin nodded his head. "Sure thing boss." He reshealthed his blade and moved cautiously towards the stone image of a sword.
((Well sort of, all attacks, actions, and spells happen at the same time. So even if you would get killed the next round, you can take 'em down with you!))

You cautiously enter the room with the sword above it. Once inside, a door somehow slides out of the floor and slams up to the ceiling, trapping you inside.
A ghoul leaps out of an alcove, and two zombie hulks reveal themselves. The ghoul throws itself at Ronin, attacking twice. The zombie hulks move in to the melee, attacking Bellamin and Kitai, making sure they're close to the melee so they can protect the ghoul.

Kitai starts off by pulling out her first heal potion and tossing it back. She then raises her shield and calls out. "Come my friend! We have undead to crush!" Her spirit gargant appears in a fountain of sparks and roars into the melee. It tackles the Zombie hulk and drives it away from Bellamin. Kitia raises her shield to defend against the zombie's first strike then attacks her own Hulk.
((Drink heath potion. Summon Gargant, Dice for defense, Attack Zombie Hulk that is attacking me. Gargant will use Defender to pull the Zombie Hulk's second attack off of Bellamin.))
((btw, as it is set to attack Bellamin, then Kitai. That means that my Zombie hulk rolled a 5. And The one my gargant pulled rolls a 1. Right? And that also means Ronin should be teaming up on that zombie with my Gargant.))

As the zombies enter the putrescent smell of decaying corpses causes Gonzu to wrinkle his nose in distate. "Filthy undead! Why don't you just stay in your graves where you belong!" He flourishes with both hands and tosses a fireball at the Ghoul. "Burn you putrefying corpse!"
((Cast Fireball on the Ghoul, the leftover damage can go to the Zombie Hulk attacking Kitai.))
((Since the Gargant is keeping them off of Bellamin I can heal next turn. I just want to get the Ghoul out of the fray. Polk, you should drink one of your healing potions now.))

Bellamin rushed cautiously towards one of the zombies but before he can reach, Kitai's Garant plows the zombie away. Seeing his chance, he charges towards the nearest undead creature, using all his strength to pierce the abomination, and kick it back. "Back into the depths in which you call home, mortis!"

The ghoul goes down, quite literally, in flames. He manages to hit Ronin for 3 and 7 damage before being shot down by Gonzu, however.
The zombie hulk attacking Bellamin is distracted by the Gargant, and takes two damage from Vindictive, 9 damage from Ronin, and 8 damage from Bellamin's attack/smash (combat roll assumed to be 1). It defends with its combat die and Defensive Hold for 2 damage,
Kitai's zombie hulk can't do very much damage with a 0 Attack and a 1d6 combat die against 3 defense, can it? It takes 10 damage from Gonzu's Fireball, but its thick skin protects it from Kitai's stab.
The next turn the zombie hulks attempt to do the same thing, but they aren't very tough without a bruiser to support.
At the beginning of the second round:
Bellamin: 5/20, 2 AP, 2 MP. Ronin: 27/35, 3 AP, 4 MP. Gonzu: 15/15, 4 AP, 2 MP. Kitai: 20/20, 2 AP, 2 MP.
Party pool: 4 AP, 4 MP.
Zombie Hulk #1: 6/20 Life. Zombie Hulk #2: 13/20 Life.
