Green eyes flitted opened and quickly adjusted to the dark. Setsumi had kept herself in a light sleep, light enough to be aware of when Ronan's paws padded away. What she didn't expect was a second pair to stir the ground. The female didn't twitch, first glancing about to see where the other footsteps were falling from. Eyes blinked when she realized Edward had left too, prints leaving a trail of the same direction as Ronan. "Damn it Edward." She stood slowly, and after a moments stare only shook her head. Gotta learn the hard way huh?
Ears flickered as the bright male tread the slope down from the palms. The shadows cast by the trees desaturated a great amount of light and detail once provided by the moon. If not looking closely, Ronan would only appear to be ripples in the sand. His pace was at a trot, no longer concerned with sound and making effort not to sink in the soft sands. After some distance of walking, the ground flattened out to reveal the cracked and hard surface hidden under the sandy blanket. White eyes peered at the darker landscape, taking in forms of boulders and shrubs. Ronan sat stiffly on the border, tails constantly turning. "Isn't it passed your bedtime Fullmetal?"

Edward always did seem to learn the hard way. But well.. that's just him.. having a knack for trouble and a sense of adventure. Following after Ronan, his fur blended into the sand, although his automail probably gave him away with the way is glinted in the moonlight.
He stopped in his tracks as Ronan spoke up with an all too familiar tone. He frowned, reminded of Roy.. or atleast the Roy he he had somewhat respected in his past life. "Who said I had a bed time?" he retorted, eventually closing the distance between himself and the brightly colored Kitsusagi.

Lily had not fallen deep enough asleep to miss the more experienced female's words. Well, that she had spoken at any rate. More that Edward's name had been uttered. The petite femme's head and neck lifted until she was looking towards Setsumi over her wings. Liliana of course did not think about it but in the dark she would likely be hard to see, save perhaps if the light of the moon reflected on her midas touched tips. "Setsumi?" She called softly, not really certain if she should interfere at all. "Should we..." but Lily could not finish the question, green eyes following the shadow of slightly sunken paw prints in the direction she was sure the males had gone.

Ronan rolled his eyes, not that anyone could ever tell, and turned to the other. "I just assumed one so energetic needed time to crash." Head tilted when he caught sight of the other, not used to this sight. "Why....are you nude?" A normal thing for himself and others, not ever seen on Ed though. A claw tapped on the ground as he decided on what to do now. "Nevermind, I don't want to know." He stood darted across the dead grounds, the hard rocks and gravel as sharp as brittle bones. A hop landed him on the boulder, and he turned to smirk at Ed. "Better hurry before they rise."
Ears ducked back harshly when she realized the other femme was awake. A paw went to her maw as she turned to the other, still curled on the palm leaves. "Sorry, that was rude of me." She didn't intend others to hear her sharp words. Setsumi paused for a moment, just listening in the waves before sitting on her flanks. The time spent between herself and Lily was far and few in between. And even those moments had been to talk to other kitsus. Thus, Setsumi found herself hushed not knowing what to say. "They'll be fine. Ronan's been there before."

A blush darkened his ears then a vein popped out of his forehead as Ed got defensive, "My clothes were wet okay!" he snapped. Huff. He didn't -like- being without them.. but it didn't really matter all that much since Lilianna and the others all walked around with nothing on. He didn't like Ronan was insinuating though! u_u!
The alchemist then blinked as the other ran ahead then stopped to call back. A smirk coming to Edward's maw as he sprinted across the terrain to follow the more brightly colored adult. Metallic paws clinking against hard rock as he went.

"Not at all." Liliana said softly. She had heard little more than that Setsumi had spoken, and that Ed's name had been said. The little femme had not even fully heard his name, catching the familiar sound of it more than anything else and that most likely only because he was so close to heart & thought.
The winged female did not rise, only shifted around on the 'bed' until she was curled so that her muzzle pointed in the direction of the footprints and lay her head back down. "Oh. Good." Besides... Ed would call her if he needed her for anything, right? Or would he be all macho and do whatever he could to keep her safe? A sleepy smile touched Lily's maw probably the later. That and not asking for help until he was hurt, if then. But that was Ed.
Lily kept an ear tipped in that direction. Just in case she could hear anything, though she doubted it. She had barely heard Setsumi.
"Setsumi?" Her voice was laced with sleep her eyes drooping though Lily doubted she would really be able to return to sleep until the alchemist had returned. "Thanks." She had to trust in Ed & his abilities. Trust in Ronan & his experience. Her soft whimper was felt rather than heard; there at all because she was still half asleep. "I know I..."
Have made things difficult & painful for everyone -but she could not voice it. Would she always feel she should apologize? Probably. "Thanks."
Green eyes closed, and it seemed the younger female was asleep once more. It was a light sleep if she was. Barely dozing.

Explanation went unheard as the adult sat on the boulder, tapping tails at the teen kitsu. Eyes narrowed as the metal limbs and rocky ground didn't compliment each other all too well. Especially for this place. Once Ed had gotten on the same boulder, Ronan turned his gaze to the night covered lands. "Bravo." Doot doot doot, where was it? No sign of the canines, so that was good. Eyes soon spotted a mass on the ground, though it was too dark and far to get details. "Now why did you come, nosey?"
Green eyes moved to the waves, the corner of her vision still able to see Lily. She didn't blame the female to worry, especially with new emotions surging her emotions to stronger levels. At least they always knew they had each others back. A sleepy voice made her face the red kitsu, eyes patiently waiting for her to continue. Though Lily left words hanging, Setsumi caught what she was getting at. That was something that was decided and done, no point in scratching at it further. "Don't thank me." She had done nothing on her part. The purple female stayed awake, seeing what the night air of the beach may do for her nerves.

Sitting next to Ronan on the boulder, Edward looked out across the terrain as the other seemed to be looking for something. He also saw the rather nondescript object in the distance but said nothing of it. At Ronan's question, Edward shrugged his shoulders, "Why did you?" he said back. "Isn't this place supposed to be dangerous or something?" he scoffed lightly.

Her breathing rose and fell softly within her chest, the soft breathing of sleep. Liliana only dozed, resting. Only those accustomed to her sleeping would notice the differences of her sleep, see that even then she was worried. Not the whimpering unease & restlessness that had kept her awake or otherwise unrefreshed while Lily had to chose between the tow males dearest to her outside her family. This was different. A soft fretting. Perhaps a loneliness. It kept her from slipping back into the depth of sleep that was needed to repair body and mind.

"Ha, brat." Trust Ed to turn back a statement on another. The older male peered down at the pale male, resisting to scoff. "I'm just doing what I've been doing before realm." That place had seemed like a waste of time, nowhere near as interesting as this place. A paw pointed out to the mass. "So now, that can either be the canines, or what I'm looking for." The canines were basically rabid kitsus, thin and decaying worst than Nightmares. No point in chatting with them, you'd just be eaten. "I know, what are you looking for Ronan?" The colorful male mimiced the fullmetal, getting it done with. "Find the blue bush, and passed its thorns is a single pearl. That's all." Simple enough.
Setsumi tilted her eyes back and forth between the waves and the remaining kitsu. Moments passed, before the older female stood and paced to the sleeping Lily. She was quiet as could be, the sound of the water a good cover. A glance was given to the leaf bed, grinning at the needed luxury. Green eyes read the slight tension in the others body, be it from the cold or other matters. Without a word, she layed on the opposite side of Lily, fur barely brushing against hers. A simple comfort, nothing more.

"I'm not a brat" Ed growled, brows furrowed in a peeved expression as he looked up at Ronan. His look of annoyance not fading, entirely as curiousity seemed to creep into it as the other spoke. The teen looking especially irritated when Ronan mimiced his voice. However, brows lifted, "Blue bush? Pearl?" What the heck. First off.. he'd never seen a blue bush before... and what the heck would a pearl be doing in one? "Why are you looking for a pearl?" It didn't make any sense... the alchemist waiting for Ronan to clarify.

Yes, the bed was a luxury perhaps. One Liliana had not asked for but been more than grateful the alchemist had thought of it. An endearing gesture that made her feel loved and cherished all over again. It was also nice in keeping their wet fur from having sand cling to it before they dried.
Not that she could explain that to Setsumi while asleep, had she even guessed the other's thoughts. But she did relax ever so slightly at the presence of another near her, catching the scent as one she trusted even asleep. Liliana was far too accustomed sleeping near & with others to feel more at ease knowing she was not alone.
A soft whisper of breath as Lily slipped a little deeper asleep. "Edward... be safe."

"Blue bush with a single pearl. Not all lands are the same you know." With a quick glance around, he hopped off the boulder and padded swiftly to the mass. Ears tipped back to make sure the other kept near. "The pearl, when eaten a certain way, amplifies the strongest ability of the one who eats it." He paused and pointed to his own white eyes. "An occasional chew of those keeps me from going completely blind." Who knew what it would do for Ed's alchemy. The mass soon drew closer, dark twigs hinting them it was indeed one of the bushes. "Well, go on." He smirked, head turning as a far off crumbling to their side was heard.

Ed blinked with interest as he listened to Ronan's words, the teen moving alongside him at the same pace as the adult. When they came infront of the bush, he simply stared at it oddly. He knew there were weird and different things in this world.. but blue bushes that grew pearls? This had to beat them all, so far. A million questions buzzed around in Ed's mind.. while also thinking what something like that pearl could do in the wrong hands. What if Envy got ahold of one of them, for instance.
Blink. "You want -me- to go in there?" He thought Ronan was the one that wanted the pearl. Ears flicked and Ed's head turned as he too heard the noise.

Thank goodness not many kitsu wandered in her then. Besides, grown pearls in and of themselves were scarce, not held in every bush. The adult stood erect, keeping an eye on the landsacpe and all its sounds. One ear went back towards Ed. "You're the one who snuck along, put use to it." This wasn't some movie to just sit back on and watch. At least not for Ed. Ronan, on the other hand, pushed the boy forward toward the bush. "Don't worry, I'm right behind ya." A low laugh. "Cause we all know Setsumi would smack me if anything happened." Ears twisted back as another crackle was heard, the ground shifting underfoot. "They're waking up, so hurry up."
