He listened to her, softly & attentatively, not even making any 'normal' Aear moves towards her. The trail of her words is not beyond his intelligence, simply beyond his usual thinking. The door and the magics used to create & sustain it are not something the sailor has ever spent much time contemplating. It worked. That was all he needed to know. Since he trusted Remus to have done the necessary things to keep it safe AearHwesta was fine with it. The world of Spira was also something he had less knowledge than others on. Other than the Rikkus being from there as well as Valefor & Ifrit, he knew only the randoms of what Rikkus said of it or what things the aeon told him. Perhaps he could have looked into it... but the ladies' kitsu had always been more interested in Valefor's present, not her past except where it was clearly important to her.
"Between reality & dream..." Aear repeated thoughtfully. Aye. Suppose it makes sense." Russet eyes regarded the female gently. "As fer occupants... why that be totally up to ye, Valefor-luv.

Valefor shrugged and chuckled. "I think I'll add them later. The quiet is appealing right now."
She looked out at the water for several long, quiet moments, and then started humming softly. The hum slowly grew louder, a tune that Trel and Rikku would have recognized. The Hymn of the Fayth.
She felt settled again. Centered. She still hurt inside, but she didn't feel lost. But to be truly herself again, to fully accept that which she was now... she had to find out one more thing.
The hum rose to a crescendo and then stopped, and she turned to face a small tree/bush that was nestled on the bluff. She reared on her hind legs, pulled her wings back and pushed while snapping them forward. The plant proved how deeply imbedded its roots were, and why it alone out of many that had probably tried managed to survive up here as the Aeon's long dormant powers produced the familiar sonic shockwave and stripped many of the leaves off without doing much more than causing the trunk to shake. She dropped back to four legs and looked at it for a moment, and when she spoke you could hear the smile in her voice. "So... I really am back."
Suddenly she pivoted and bounded past Aear, slapping his rump gently with one of her tails. "Tag, you're it!" Then she ran right off the edge of the bluff to launch herself into the air. She didn't really know why, she just felt a lot more playful all a sudden. Cough.

But AearHwesta did recognize the song. Not perhaps as being the Hymn of the Fayth, but because Trelweny had a tendency to sing it around the house. Somehow it seemed more fitting with Valefor. But then, many things were more fitting with Valefor.
Russet eyes widened in shock and appreciation, a whistle dying in his mouth as he saw the power of the aeon come from the kitsu form he knew and loved so well.
So much so that he staggered a bit at the tag, blinking before breaking into a smile. Laughing Aear ran after her, launching himself in her wake. "Ah lass! Ye give a lad more'n enough reasons te want te catch ye, ye do!!"

Valefor laughed as she flew, wondering if Aear knew as well as she did that this game of tag was just the first part of what she really felt like doing with him right now. Being "home", and being reconnected with herself made her happy, relaxed... she wanted to enjoy herself, and him, fully before the trouble of life had time to present themselves again.
She dodged and wove in the air with the sailor for a while before she spotted a park she remembered being quite fond of because of the luxurious carpeting of grass she liked to lay in and watch clouds drift by... it seemed a good place for more intimate things today, especially since there was no one here to worry about being interrupted by. Her distraction with spotting the park gave Aear ample time to catch her, so she gave him a sultry purr to tell him exactly what mood she was in and glided down toward the park. She pranced in place in the grass while waiting for him to land, very much wanting - needing - to share this with him in a place that was as special to her as the Hiril was to him.

He laughed heartily at her antics, at once playfully trying to catch her and yet letting it draw out to bask in the moment. She had seemed so sad & distant as of late. Aear suspected he knew in part what it was. Then Valefor gave that sultry purr.... the lusty angelic's heart & body reacted immediately to the call.
With a low rumble of his own and a delighted twinkle in his eye Aear Hwesta touched down close beside her and quick as any predator closed the gap between them. Dropping a wing over her the sailor quickly took her tails in his. "Tag, Luv..." He murmured huskily into her ear, his shoulder pressing with need, love, & desire into hers.

Valefor slipped her mask off and nibbled on Aear's ear and pressed back against him. "Trelweny did say we could take as long as we wanted..." She nuzzled into his neck fur. "And I never had a ship of my own, but his place was often my favorite refuge. I want to share it with you, dear Aear..." The way she moved her body against his own at that point left no doubt as to the way she wanted to do this sharing.

His rumble bordered on purr as she nibbled his ear. It was all he could do to pull his gaze from her beautiful body to take in the sights of the park. Quickly though, for everything in him was calling for her.
Eager russet eyes returned to her once more, drinking her in. "And it's a lovely refuge, Valefor-luv. Worthy of a female such as you. Tis an honor... and a pleasure ye share with me..."
With extreme tenderness & deftness, Aear began to trail his paws through her fur in ways he knew would stimulate and delight. He buried his head into her feathery red ruff, breathing her in deeply.
He took his time before they rolled together on the luxurious grass carpeting, taking his time then too, to see that Valefor well and truly enjoyed their sharing. Aear knew he did.

Valefor enjoyed it every bit as much as Aear, perhaps more so, because for once she felt well and truly free. She was going to live up to who she was, and not worry about who she thought she was supposed to be. And Aear... was very much a part of who she was now.
She snuggled with Aear for a while, basking in the afterglow, but after peering up at the sky again she gave a long-suffering sigh. "Probably ought to head back. Seer at least is probably going to be wondering where I am by now, I left in a bit of a hurry..." That sense of urgency seemed so far distant from this moment of liesurely joy as to feel months distant rather than hours. She smiled and leaned into Aear with a soft, contented purr.
Her moments with him were precious indeed. She was less sure this long after her pained confession to him than she had ever been, and she was far from certain when it had happened. She was happy right now, and happy around him... no matter what else might be lacking. But that was something to ponder later... she didn't want to ruin the current moment with pointlessly circling worries and desires.

Somehow -call it his Aear-ness- noticed how much more Valefor was enjoying their activities. It made the ladies kitsu thrilled in a wahy he had not know, and happily he endeavored to keep her there as long as he was able.
Sighing happily as they snuggled afterward, AearHwesta held the aeon kitsu close in his paws. He felt her sigh and licked gently along her muzzle and cheek, then nuzzled her chin. At her words he felt first a deep sorrow then a sharp flash of guilt. That was soon soothed however with the press of the lovely feminine body beside him, and it did not take long for his own purr to join hers. "Aye, luv... I suppose we should. But.." He turned enough to catch her eyes with his russet gaze. Unspoken 'I know what we talked of' hung in the air between them. The sailor would never bring it up himself. "Valefor, ye know ye can call on me anytime. To see ye here... fer anything, aye?"

Valefor nodded and nuzzled Aear's cheek. "I know, dear Aear. I'll come by more often." She stood up reluctantly and shook the grass from her fur. "Race you to the stadium?" Without waiting for an answer she took to the air and headed for the stated destination, turning to give Aear an impish look before she unhooked her mask from one of her wing curls and put it back on.

He was lost in her nuzzle, wondering to himself at the feelings inside him when she caught him off guard with that look of impishness and took off in flight. AearHwesta shook himself & laughed heartily before lifting his wings to the winds of this place and taking flight after her. "HAHAHA! Valefor-luv, seems ye've taken a rogue's way of games, aye!"
Hard to race ye when I'd rather see ye or be with ye lass... but I can't be with ye forever, can I? Ye deserve a million little rascally kits an' that's something ye & I can never have. I should let ye go, luv. For yer own happiness. But while I can... I'll race ye.The winged sailor put on a burst of speed, finding the right winds to catch up to her.

It was dead even when they got to the stadium. Valefor probably could have won if she'd pulled her Aeon speed trick but that didn't seem at all fair. After landing she padded over by the gate to catch her breath. "Should we call them out or go inside and look for them? It might be an interesting sight-see, I know I haven't seen it in a long time."

After everything since they had arrived here, the angelic male was quite surprised that they arrived at the same time. He deduced that the aeon must have been holding back. Because she wanted him near? The thought was both surprising in the way he thought of it as it was surprising how the notion warmed the sailor inside, even though he knew it was foolish. We can't mate... can ne'er be. Best to leave it as it is.
Actually AearHwesta's first choice was not an option so with a grin & a bit of a chuckle he nuzzled Valefor. "I'm all for seeing anything of yer homeland yer willing to share with me, so lets be looking for them inside, aye? Seems a bit different than the Luca one we play in. Grander somehow."

Valefor chuckled. "Well, the play area itself isn't any bigger, but the rest of the building is. So that might be part of it." She padded inside at a relaxed pace, pointing out little shops and things that lined the walls between calls for the girls. "We might have to walk back, I'm not sure if I can actually do that transformation again intentionally..." She was thinking aloud, but it still effected him so he might as well hear it.

"Aye. That makes sense." Aear noted everything she pointed out to him, but it was clear his attention focussed most on the aeon beauty.
"Don't ye be worrying about that. The lasses can walk. An' if that doesn't strike 'em I'm sure Rikku-lass will be able to get one of those machina transportation vehicles moving to get back to yer house." He grinned, chuckling. "Yer house here, that be."
