((Haha, no I don't mind at all. A bounty-hunter/mage combo sounds quite interesting. Lux was originally intended to be a mage, but I had just finished re-reading Cowboy Bebop and couldn't resist making her into a hunter.))

As she chatted with Xitha, Lux noticed that Tochi's brother had disappeared. She scanned the area below her, but couldn't see him anywhere. And where was Tochi?
*Xitha, can you see either Tochi or his brother? They've disappeared from my sight, and I don't know how to use mage-sight,* she said.

Kax watched as the Shadow Slayer atacked the Ninja sneaking up on him.

He slipped behind Shinta and cross slashed from behind. no human was fast enough to doge that...

Xitha instantly scanned the area with both her regular vision and her mage-sight, but could not locate the Shadow, Kax.

Don't worry, I'd be glad to teach you. However, we'd better turn our attention to this one. I don't know where the brother, Kax, is. He isn't visible to mage-sight at all. He must know how to shield himself or something, Xitha said worriedly.

Xitha instructed her wind to bring Lux to her side. When Lux was within arms reach, Xitha held her arms before her, creating a shield that hid them from any view, mage-sight or plain eyesight. She shielded against demonic sight as well; being half-succubus, she knew that demonic vision was different from mage-sight and had learned to shield from that as well. Xitha carefully instructed Lux in what she was doing, a first lesson of sorts, shielding their conversation so only they could hear.

Shinta, I can't find Kax anywhere. Be on your guard! Lux and I are still up here, but I'm shielding us for all I'm worth, Xitha said, carefully shielding their conversation as well.

Xitha smiled.

Yes you can. What's more, I'll guide your shot. Are you targeting the ninja Shinta's fighting? she asked, watching.

Suddenly, Xitha gasped.

Lux! Behind Shinta! Quickly! Xitha had seen the wind move as a blade attacked Shinta from behind.

((Cool, I got a new nickname! Yeah I got it Tochi-san. Kax uses two swords right?))

Shinta watched the ninja fall to the ground unconcious, then he realized with a start that is was not Tochi's brother.

Kuso...he brought reinforcements...

He turned in time to see Kax slash at him with his swords. He managed to parry the right, but the left opened a deep cut in his shoulder. Mustering his strength, he forced the ninja back and gave him a hard stroke across the ribs.

"Feel fortunate that my sword is dulled, or you would be in two pieces now." He said coldly, the battlemind forcing away all thought of pain or blood-loss.

((*sigh* He's leaving us girls to do his work again. And hey! Where's Tochi?))

Lux hurled her dagger, deadly accurate even without Xitha's guidance, at the area Xitha indicated. She didn't know what Xitha had seen, but since she was still linked to her mind, Lux guessed that Xitha had seen movement giving away Kax' whereabouts.
