Yeah thats happen to me before. Some girl said it behind my back too. Just because I didn't wear mini skirts or put on tons of makeup like her or the other girls. But really now I don't care. Now I say "yes I do play games, why do you ask?" xd

Can't say it's ever happened to me. I suppose this is the reason why a bunch of girls joined this guild.

Ringir Kiarra-Chan13 I never get insulted because they know how I hang around with. I hang around with my own "kind" which is mostly boys & tomboys/tomgirls. xd & I have an older sister who would also stand up for me. mrgreen same here. just not the sister part me too. except I have a brother. it sucks when people are like that though, making fun of others cause you like something they dont. =.=

I've heard a few comments, but they usually get cut short by my screams of delight when I've finally beat the boss after the second plus time.

Yes It is disrespectful but I have found that people tend not to say things about me behind my back, the outcome has never been pretty. Well, that chick just is jealous that she has to be all girly and s**t for guys to like her and they dont respect her as an equal because of it. We can do what the girly bitches cant, and they hate us for it or are too blind to see it but either way I pity them.

SilverBellsAbove See, stuff like this always annoys me because it's so impossibly petty. Who's to say what makes a 'real girl?' I personally would think that typical physical characteristics would qualify one as a 'real' girl..... wink People don't talk about me behind my back... a lot of them are scared of me. I honestly don't know why, since I'm at least two feet shorter than most of them and they could probably squish me with a pinky finger.... I've reveled in being a tomboy for years, and the phrase never annoyed me on my own account. But when other people get called that, it does annoy me... personal preference, methinks.... I too do not wear skirts or dresses if I can help it at all in normal everyday life. But then I also do medieval recreation, there and only THERE do I wear skirts so skirty that modern women have no comparison. biggrin

All I got is an a*****e younger brother who thinks he's the best ******** thing in the universe, says nothing but pure bullshit, and keeps insulting me just because I'm more of an intellectual than him. evil But by own experience, I've found tomboys to be good friends. I used to hang out with one in my last year in high school, and she was one of the best girl friends I had. As for gamer girls... well, I only know a single gamer girl. She's a good friend of mine too, and she's waaaaaaay more mature than these ditzy girls you find all the time in college. 3nodding

I had a guy say that I was only playing games to get attention from guys. I was so mad that he said that. Why can't I play games and enjoy talking with other people about them. He said I was just following a fad. I wound up beating him in our club's Soul Caliber tournemant!

I've been called butch, loser, tomboy and stuff on occasion. I don't pay too much attention to what other people have to say about me. Honestly it bothers me more if someone calls me girly or popular. xd

I've had people say things like that to me, but I got into games way before I cared about guys at all (back when I was in elementary school). I try and ignore people who say that. It's completely idiotic. It's why I joined this guild, I can escape comments like that here. 3nodding

Nope, never and it's not like I only have gamer friends either. It's totally awesome to be around people and friends who understand you. =) If I say I like games, they're like "cool."

Guess I'm lucky I live where I live. Chicks never give me a hard time about being a tomboy. The most I get is 'Sakyh, why don't you ever wear your hair down/wear make-up/skirts/dresses/heels' in weak tones signaling that their wishes for me to dress in a 'girly' fashion are only realised once a year. or if they pay me. 3nodding

I know a few game chicks, one of them being my sister. I never really thought much about it, it just seemed kind of natural that my sister's friends occasionally play video games. And yet, they unfortunately fit into the steriotype that girls can't play games well. I think it's a lack of focus and/or determination. Although this one girl is fairly good at Sonic Riders. (french fries and ketchup) I'm taking French classes this semester. Hopefully by the end, I will know how to say "Surrender to me and my friend, we're part German" xd
