Taf came to a quick stop when Nu gestured to one of the trees. He'd almost been trying too hard to see it, so it was good that she finally pointed it out.

"You really know your way around here, huh?" he asked brightly, sounding very impressed. That was Taf's goal, after all, learn about his homeland so he could find his way around it much easier! Taf stopped and looked up at the tree, making note of how the leaves were positioned from this direction so he could find his way back to where he'd run into Nu. With a grin, he hopped forward- it was his turn to take the lead.

"Ok, I'll show you where the rock is," he announced, heading off, "You can see it a little from here, but not really well."

"Yeah, I do. I spend most of my time outta the den." Nu switched to a follower without complaint, padding alongside Taf quite happily. Waiting to see this rock from the right place so she'd see the joke. She wasn't sure yet which rock was teh funny one, but then, he'd said you couldn't really tell from here.

"But you know this bit as well as I know that bit I think. It's a shame we can't give each other all there is to know about here and there, because then we'd both known both places well. If that makes sense."

"I spend a lot of my time with my family, but lately I decided to get a better look around here," he explained as he jogged along in the lead, "I want to know all about where I live, and then I won't get so lost."

Tafasuri paused a moment to look around, thinking he had heard something strange but he quickly moved on. He could see the rock now, and picked up the pace again.

"We could only share what we know by showing each other around, I think," he said with a shrug, "And there's the rock!" Taf came to a stop once they came to the flat-face of an odd shaped rock, then hopped around behind it and peeked through a wide crack that went through it.

"It looks like someone took a slice out of it," Taf pointed out brightly, grinning from the other side of his landmark.

"Showing would take ages. I mean like...just suddenly knowing all you know, and you could know all I know. Though that'd be magic or something." Had she known about maps, she'd have suggested making one, but Nu hadn't and so didn't. She shrugged and didn't notice his pause nor the noise. Too intent on the rock.

"Would need claws of rock to be able to slice rock, I bet." Strolling around it and peering through the crack too, Nu smiled. It was a bit weir

Taf glanced over at Nu, hiding his surprise as well as he could. He didn't think he knew so much that it would take ages to show, maybe if they had to remember it all right away.. she must know a lot more of the pride's land than he did! That was precisely why he was out and about now, he was curious.

"That would be really neat, and a lot easier," he said brightly, then decided to make an attempt to climb up on the rock to get a view from above. He looked down the odd-shaped slice in it.

"Yeah, it's weird," Taf agreed.

"Be good to hide stuff in. Like, trinkets and stuff." Nurisha tried standing on her back legs and slipping a paw into the crack. Only big enough realy for little cub paws. But she had a few interesting things she could tuck away, it was better than in the thick grass by the water hole where she currently kept her treasures...perfect, except Taf knew about it. Nice idea though. She'd have to look out for more funny rocks.

"After all, most people don't look for funny rocks."

Taf stuck his nose into the crack when Nu's paw slipped into it, trying to watch her paw. The slice in the rock certainly would only be big enough for small things, and their paws looked just small enough. Sadly, he didn't have anything to hide- but now that she had mentioned it, if he did find anything he wanted to keep from his brothers and sister..

"I don't have anything to hide though," he said with a shrug, "but it's a good idea."

"Maybe...though I'm not putting my stuff in there." She looked up at him and smiled. Not only because he knew where it was, but also - "Our paws aren't going to be little forever."

Nurisha dropped back down onto four paws and circled the rock thrice, stopping when she was facing the right way for home. Her mother'd be waiting and her siblings would probably be heading home too around about now. Was supposedly to be bathtime around about now. Though she'd love to miss it, Nu had yet to test what'd happen if she simply didn't turn up.

"I should probably get going. Was nice to meet you though." She studied him again. "...I live by a tree that's split in half. Supposedly light from the sky hit it once when it rained."

Taf glanced from the split in the rock to Nu when she pointed out that their paws would grow. How disappointing, for the bigger a hiding spot got the easier it would be for others to find. Of course, if his main concern was his own siblings they would grow about the same as him anyway. He had turned back to looking at the rock as if showing it off had renewed his interest in it entirely while Nu circled the rock. Taf only looked up again when she announced her departure, and frowned slightly- until she described where she lived.

"Light split a tree in half?" he asked, sounding amazed and forgetting to be polite and agree that it had been nice to meet her as well. He didn't even manage to imagine where it might be with respect to the areas he knew, too stunned at the idea itself.

"Yeah. Neat, eh?" She grinned at him, then vanished into the grass. Right. Back to the weird tree, turn right by the big puddle...Nurisha started to make her way home. Before she got too far she remembered to call out a hasty -

"Good byyyye!"

Tafasuri nodded brightly when she commented on how neat it was that light had split the tree- and he knew he'd have to interrogate his parents about it sometime to find out more about it. He watched her go off, making note of every way she went for his own memory- except he knew she'd be back to where they'd met when she got out of sight so he didn't really have to watch.

"Bye!" he called back, and then jumped from the funny rock to go back to his home.
