Chris Kitmyth I think it was the chao racing which irritated me no end. Watching the thing do nothing but float around in the water for 10minutes just ticked me off no end. I know the feeling. At that point, I tend to reset the game and take the relevant chao for more training or animals until that stops happening, since there's no point in continuing with that particular race.

Heh heh. I guess you could say I'm an advanced geneticist. What I mean by that is, I carry out experiments etc on the Chao. Also, I tend to develop them at super-fast speeds. Yes, by that I mean I use the little multiple usages of animals/drives "feature" that's been there since SA1. As for the Chao I have, I've got a few. However, the ones I'm most proud of would probably be Phoenix (fire orange Hero/Flying), Safire (sapphire blue Hero/Swimming) and quite a few others I have with enormous stats. Saffy for example is either S or A rank swimmer and thus inhumanly fast in water. My ultimate goal is to create an all S-rank Chaos Chao. I already have a candidate set aside, pre-named in anticipation for future glory: O. Chaos, short for Obsidian Chaos, a dark black neutral Chao. Currently has a B rank for everything bar swimming and stamina, which are D and A respectively. When it's re-incarnated and been stat-pumped enough, it will be developed into my ultimate weapon. biggrin
But yeah, when I play SA2, I'm always gonna be doing some Chao breeding. *Grins*

Have you tried the accelerated development method? It's a bit of a cheat, but it makes development very fast. Basically, you re-use an animal a few hundred times instead of the usual one time, but it takes practice. If you put the animal down just in front of the CHao when it's standing still, it'll absorb the data, BUT the animal will be usable still. You can repeat this process ad infinitum, till either you get bored or the damned Chao moves and the animal is "used up".
Oh, in other news, I got a Tails Chao today! ^_^

With lots of patience, and care and whatnot, you can win all medals, like i did. My chao is so good. I didnt use cheats on it, but i did use cheats. I got some new chao and experimented on them. If anyone has action replay, i advise you to give one a max out run cheat. Its so funny. Their limbs start to come off cos they can't keep up, and one time he was just running in a circle, so i stood in the middle and it was funny

Just stumbled across this topic.
At first I thought I'd never get into chao, after all I had no interest ever in the Tamagotchi (noticed that they're back, by the way?). But they got terribly addictive. And, I hate to admit it, but they do worm their way through your shell, even mine smile
All mine are in SA2:B. I have (and apologies to NetRaptor for shamelessly stealing the names of her chao, but they were so good!):
Pilot - Tails' power chao, who's a bit of a crybaby and is 3 years old. She currently has a beautiful phoenix tail.
VelociT - a curious swimming chao belonging to Sonic. He's 2 and is rated B in power and swimming.
Chimera - Knuckles' flying chao and a big eater. He's about 18 months old. He's had many dragons so he looks a lot like one and is all red. He's really good at the beginners' karate and has grade A in flying and running.
KITT - a Sonic chao who is curious. He's only a year old and is rated B in power.
Max - my current baby chao with a B grade in swimming.
Dash - a dark flying chao who is shared between Shadow, Robotnik and Rouge. He's rated B in swimming, flying and power and is aged 2. He's carefree. I'm hoping he'll go Nights on me - it's looking good so far.
Nox - Shadow's normal chao who's energetic. He has an S in stamina and a B in power. He's also 2 years old.
KARR - a Shadow chao who's rather naive. He's grade A in stamina and B in power and swimming.
No one lives in the normal garden. Pilot has done OK in the first set of races, but I think I need to build up all their levels before we'll get anywhere in second races & karate etc.
I still get unreasonably excited and happy when one of the chao learns something, like jumping up and down for attention, exercising etc. There goes my street cred wink

Why not give us a bit more detail? Have you got a particular chao you love? Do you prefer the Sonic Adventure or Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Gardens? What type of chao do you have?
Otherwise there's not really much of an answer we can give to make the topic worthwhile. smile

I have a lot of chaos! But my most favorie one of all is Buddy, he's rabbit. Hes my most well-rounded chao. Oh, sorry, i didn't specify what kind of chao he is, he is a hero chao.

Here are some chao I have.
Dark garden: Full shadow chao. High running stats
Netural garden: 1 Netural Netural chao with 99 stat points in all areas. (Thank you Sonic Advance 2 Chao garden ^^)
3 Sonic chao:Normal, blue, and gold.
Tails chao: The real two tailed one
Hero garden:
A light green, two toned see through chao: An S in swimming
A COMPLETLY Clear chao: All I see is its eyes, orb, wings and grin mrgreen
A gold flight chao with phinox wings and tail
Tornado. My future Chaos chao biggrin
