For me, it usually depends on whether or not I've read the manga first. If I havn't, the dub doesn't seem strange to me, I don't have any expectations for certain character voices and I don't notice the subtle but annoying change in lines and subject. However, if I've read the manga then see the dub, most of the time I'm more disappointed with the dubbed version than Sub.

If it's subbed, then I actually watch it because of the subtitles. I find that if it's dubbed, I just listen to it rather than watch the show or watch and not listen, if the volume is too low and I'm too lazy to turn it up.. Like right now, I'm re-watching .hack//sign and it's dubbed and I think I've only seen a quarter of each epi.

This is weird because I was just thinking this in my head last night. sweatdrop

I prefer dubbing, but I would rather have subbing if the dubbing is crap, because it can really be crap sometimes.

Subbed, because all the english voice actors I have heard are horrible when compared to the japanese ones, and they always make the translations 'PG-13' or whatever, which is totally annoying.

I usually like the Japanese voices better, but i'm too lazy to read subtitles most of the time so I mostly watch anime dubbed.

Im going with dubbed only because I need to jump up and stop my rabbit from eating the carpet and other things while I watch TV. If its subbed I cant always understand whats going on when I look away... crying

I think it depends if the dubbing is good or not.
I like subbed, because it's original and it sounds natural.
Sometimes dubs sound like they're forced... but depending on how the actor acts, I either dislike or like the dubs =P.

I prefer subbed. It makes me kinda angry when they dub it and change the phrases.

Subbed. Dubbed anime is a bit unusual when the voices don't fit the character. Plus, it sucks. ^.^;;

Subbed all the way. I cringe every time I flip through the channels and hear the Naruto or Bleach dubs. They absolutely suck compared to the japanese talents.

The only anime I ever prefered in English was Fullmetal Alchemist because the casting wasn't so bad and I first heard it in English.

Anything else though I shudder to hear dubbed.

For me, it depends on the anime. But usually I prefer subbed since it provides
originality to the voices of characters. It also teaches me some easy japanese words(Dunno how to write it though). If I can fully understand Japanese language, I would prefer it not subbed or dubbed.
