I know from having a very mixed family that it is possible for a child to carry the traits of only one parent or for them to carry the specific traits of one race in their background.

For example: The whole family has brown hair and brown eyes. But every so often blondes and red heads are born. There are also those who are born with hazel eyes or blue. This also extends to facial features. We have cute button nosed relatives and then those with wide and large noses. These traits appear sparatically depending on the past history of the parents.

This is also proven as a certain possibility scientifically that a child could appear totally different from one of their parents.

I have read that gerudo woman every so often have hylian boyfriends and something like every one hundred years a male child is born to them. Obviously that means interbreeding and ganon would carry the traits of the hylian.

It is completely plausible that the deku tree could have lied to link saying he was pure hylian so that Link would not suspect his true ancestry and fail to kill his father. This as I recalled was done in Star Wars with Luke.

I do not however believe that Ganon is Link's father because I read a Zelda manga series. According to the manga both Link's parents were hylian and there was even a picture of them. They were well-to-do possibliy nobility. Yet I still say that it is a possibility the story could be changed for a more dramatic storyline. For instance what if the King was Link's father? Or what if they were related and so Link and Zelda would not be able to be together? However in some society's that are not aware of genetic issues still do or would have intermarried, so that can't be totally forbidden. The possibilities are endless especially when it comes to Link's parents because that can always change. Not many Zelda fans have read the manga.

eek HEY! GUYS! when i as crusin the web at my school during the wek (we had free time! mrgreen ) i found this website called zelda.evilsponge.com i think and it had a fic with the history of hyrule in it! includeing WHO LINKS DAD WAs!!!!!!!!!!! mrgreen blaugh

Anywho...

I find it fun to make up stories of unknown family members. Like that one time I tried to convince my friend that I was part orca...then elf...but no matter how convincing my stories were, she didn't believe me.
Then there was the one where my friend(who is unbelievably tall) was part ent and part elf. But it was against all the laws of both tribes(not to mention nature) for an ent and an elf to fall in love. But it happened anyway, and when his mother(elf)became pregnant, she knew that she would be banished, but not after killing her child. So she fled, and gave birth to her child in the forest with his father(ent).
After the child was borne, she said that she would have to go back to her tribe and tell then that she had a stillborn. So that they would just banish her and not hunt for the "dead" child.

ok...I won't go on with this here... but lets just say that I'm really good at making up random stories.

This is what you do do a search for Link or Zelda under a yahoo pics search. There are several sites that have pictures of the manga and you could read it on there. I know that sounds really ghetto but hey it worked for me mrgreen . As for buying the manga you could search for it on ebay. I'm sure if you look for it you'll find it.
