Hey, my name is Wes (or Sonic as some call me... or WS... oh well, too many names, lol).
Yeah, I'm new to this whole thing (as you can tell by my little person pic there). I've been a fan of Sonic since game 1. I've played nearly all the games I can find (yes, both arcade games). Maybe not all on the systems they came out on (for instance Sonic 1 on Genesis vs Sonic 1 on the European version). I'm one of those hard-core Sonic gamers. That is, I've been in it form the beginning and will be with it for a while to come.
I refuse to call myself #1 fan (like a lot of people I've seen in the Sonic fan letters to Archie, ugh). I do have a sizeable amount of knowledge though.
From SatAm (own 'em all) to SU (own 'em all), to even AoStH *shudder.* I'm in depth. I've had a subscription to the Archie series for a while now and have even started a thing on the site I'm with as a reviewr for 'em (www.thesonicworld.net).
For Sonic games, I've gone everywhere. Gamegear (still own it), Genesis (have like 3), Dcast (yep, have this one still too), and the GCN.
I doubt I know everything, but so far I haven't truly been stopped by anything (maybe one or two questions). I'm up to date as an oline Sonic journalist (again www.thesonicworld.net) and such.
I also enjoy things such as video producing and photography. Writing is a passion of mine as well as editing photos. Drop me a line sometime.
~Wes

Im 20 years old and coming up to the final 5 weeks on my formal education at Southampton Institute. Im studying for an honours degree in computer network management and hoping to get a good bit of work experience in the networking technician side before getting a job that will work for me. Im a novellist at heart, you can catch me writing original novels which are posted on my website, available at http://www.kitmyth (and from this post on, in sigs only = 3) I like to draw art and have recently thanks to a good friend of mine, been seriously wanting to get further in my art, thus I do trades and such with friends = 3 Im also a RL furry, into furry inflation RP and art amongst other things, if you want to know more though, the best thing to do is email me. ohhh lotta long introductions. hey all my names jesse and I've been a sonic fan for a long time now (can't remember when it started exactly) I was a little skectchy about joining a sonic guild cus a lot of people don't agree with me on some sonic issues. anyhow I consider myself a hardcore sonic fan in that, that most of my daily routine is based around sonic in some way like if i have to make a tough desicion i somehow manage to take sonic into consideration before i make a descision. I see it like this for me being a sonic fan isn't just about playing the games i don't know how to word it exactly but my friend cam said that it's like a lifestlye for me so i guess thats how i would put it. so yeah thats my intro and stuff. yay

Oh hello introduction thread, my name is ESC. Except not really, but for you it will be. So just deal yeah? I'm 18 and currentley exist in good ol' smoggy LA(, Ca) and I work at a comic book shop where I do comic book shop type things. I don't have a cat.
I love Sonic. SO MUCH. So much. But not too much. But almost. Most fans know more than I do about him, you've probably played more of his games and seen more of his shows and read more of his comics, but I still wear his T-Shirts and go "OOOOOOoOoOoOOoOH!!" around Sonic related everytings. So like, yeah.
Please love me I guess.

You're welcome. smile Quote: And yep 3nodding Though you're the first person to recognize where the sig came from biggrin Jack Nance was pretty good in that movie. I just picked up a copy of the documentary You Don't Know Jack, actually - have you seen that at all?

Nuala- I thought Nance was fantastic, but Henry Spencer is the only role I've seen him play. You Don't Know Jack eyh? I haven't seen that, but do you recommend it?
Edit: I just checked IMDB to see what he was in, I never noticed he was in Wild At Heart, that's... wild.

From what I gather, it was only widely available on the convention circuit. It's pretty interesting. I ordered it from here. Quote: Edit: I just checked IMDB to see what he was in, I never noticed he was in Wild At Heart, that's... wild. Lynch has a very incestuous approach to casting, if you look through his filmography. Apparently, one day, he's going to attempt to do what Stephen King did, and make one big movie that ties the whole thing together. Or so I hear.

Nuala- Oh interesting, but my brain contains no knowledge of this Stephen King tie-together thing you compare to.
Thanks for the link. I know some independant video stores that may have it for rent but if I fail.. do you think it's thirty dollars pretty interesting?

Good morning. Some of you may know me, some not. Thanks to Nuala for inviting me, anyway.
I am Xagarath Ankor. Fan of a great many things, most of which are not mass-market popular. If they are, that's a freak coincidence.
(Blinks) Is the film you two are discussing Blue Velvet? Only seen it once, so I'm not quite sure...

I know some independant video stores that may have it for rent but if I fail.. do you think it's thirty dollars pretty interesting? I'm afraid I'm always quite reluctant to talk people into or out of spoending money, since they know their own tastes best. It's over 90 minutes, though, so it's feature length. I think it's more of a case of how keen you are on Lynch and what you think of the documentary format.

Nuala Eraserhead, actually. *whispers in ESC's ear* Xag's another Lynch fan. Or keen proto-fan, at least. smile Oh eh? biggrin Always nice to have another one hanging around. Honestly, I'm a newer fan myself, there's still many movies (+Twin Peaks) I have yet to see. Eraserhead in particular just had a large impression on me :3 Nuala I'm afraid I'm always quite reluctant to talk people into or out of spoending money, since they know their own tastes best. Well I'm sure it's destined to be an addition to my collection, my head just needs more time to grow larger with Lynch and his goodness. It's good to know that exists now.
