David Tennant won!!He got about 8,000 votes compared to Tom Baker's 4,000. Just goes to prove the DWM poll right. *dances* Go Ten-inch!

goddess_oraorchid I could so make a joke about that right now... twisted I think I originally saw that on uncyclopedia or some other parody encyclopedia site... hehe. Even so, I think you really have to take into account that a lot of the new fans probably haven't seen the old series which might explain some of the overwhelming support. Not saying that he doesn't deserve it, but yeah.

Ohh...I really do like David Tennant but I think that poll is rubbish...I'm fine with David being number one even if I personally like Tom Baker best...however the idea of Christopher Ecclescake (hah I like calling him that!) being 8 is annoying...namely because I consider him a waste of a regeneration...I mean anyone who dosn't care enough about the role to do at least 2 series shouldn't be voted so highly...

Well, Billie gave David the nickname Ten-inch. They were asked in an interview if they had nicknames for each other and Billie came out with that. She says in her autobiography "I think he was secretly pleased" but he got loads of stick for it on The Friday Night Project!
His nickname for her was just Bill, apparently.

I like both the ninth and tenth doctors cuz they were in my opinion the coolest and they stuck to the character perfectly

Rogue Element I feel quite hurt they don't have a proper Colin Baker picture. 'Cause thats who I voted for. Go Colin Whoo!! Good for you! Colin is a brilliant Doctor, and his tenure was and still is criminally underrated. He's as good as any other Doctor! biggrin

Eccleston was 9 actually, and it wasn't that he didn't care about Who, he just wanted to move on. He took the role seriously, and treated it as he would any other role, whereas we all know Tennant's a Who fan anyway, and although he is taking the role seriously, he's also having a bit more fun than usual for an actor on a show.
