WHOOP! DAVID TENNANT RUMORS/LEAVINGNESS!

Quote:
The next actor to play DOCTOR WHO on the hit British sci-fi show has been found - TV star HARRY LLOYD.
The show's boss Russell T Davies was impressed with Lloyd when the actor appeared on a recent episode as a student at a posh school.
And when current Doctor Who David Tennant leaves the series, which is rumoured to be in two year's time (09), Davis is convinced he has found a ready made replacement.
He says, "After his audition I sent a note to the casting director saying, 'He's not just good for Baines (his character), that's the next Doctor.
Seriously. He's so brilliant." Lloyd currently plays Will Scarlett in the British TV series Robin Hood.

Quote:
It has been officially confirmed that David will be playing the Doctor for the entire run of Series Four of Doctor Who.
When asked if the constant tabloid rumours that David would be quitting the show halfway through the next series were true, Russell T Davies told the latest issue of DWM:
"No, he's doing the whole series. It was never even discussed that he might leave after six episodes. That's completely invented by the papers."

A lil' news biggrin

Quote:
In the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, series Producer Phil Collinson has announced that Bernard Cribbins will be making a guest appearance in the fourth season of Doctor Who.

Cribbins is already known to fans of Doctor Who through his appearance as a bumbling policeman Tom Campbell in the 1966 film Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 AD.

"This is the icing on the cake, a wonderful addition to an already phenomenal cast," Phil Collinson told Doctor Who Magazine. "It's a wonderful cameo, which kept the entire cast and crew entertained."

Debunked rumours wink

Quote:
Bowie NOT in new series

News Dated: 30/8/2007

David Bowie will not be guest starring in Series Four of Doctor Who.

It's great when you can knock a rumour on the head the very day it comes out - and that is exactly what we are able to do today.

UK newspaper; The Sun, (which has a 50/50 true/false accuracy hit rate regarding Doctor Who news), published an article stating that singer; David Bowie, would be guest starring in the new series of Doctor Who as an 'evil alien abductor'.

Bowie's official website trounces the rumour quite simply with the following statement:

Indeed it will surprise many of his fans, as the whole story is as much news to them as it is to him. David Bowie is not planning to star in Dr Who and the whole story is "absolute tish and tosh".

We know that Bowie released a record called 'Life on Mars', but is there any life in The Sun? After all, this is the 5th consecutive story they have printed which has turned out to false. C'mon guys - sort it out!

Ok, David Bowie is apparantly appearing in Series 4, but it's still unconfirmed. The Friday Night Project ( with Cilla Black wink ) mentioned it.

Remember the news about them filming an episode in Rome? Well, it's actually set at the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius wink And guess what! WE HAVE A PICTURE!

Isn't that nice wink -gives the usual CopyPasta-

Overseas filming for ambitious episode (Spoilers!)

The Doctor and his new companion Donna are set to travel back in time to the Roman Empire for the fourth series of Doctor Who.

In one of the most ambitious episodes to date, The Doctor, played by David Tennant and Donna (Catherine Tate) arrive in Pompeii in AD 79, on the eve of the historic eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

The Time Lord and his companion are posed with an immediate dilemma; should they warn the residents of Pompeii of the forthcoming catastrophe or leave them to fend for themselves?

"Arriving in Pompeii marks the start of another exciting adventure for the Doctor and Donna," said Doctor Who's Executive Producer and Head Writer, Russell T Davies. "Donna is stunned to find herself in the midst of history's most famous volcanic eruption. Viewers can expect many more ambitious storylines and a whole host of guest stars in 2008."

The Thick of It actor Peter Capaldi guest stars as Caecillius. He's joined by Quadrophenia and Rose and Maloney actor Phil Davis as Lucius. Further guest stars include Howards Way and Born and Bred Actress Tracey Childs, who plays Metella.

The filming of the episode took place at Cinecitta studios in Rome, which the Doctor Who team expertly transformed into Pompeii for a week of filming in September of this year.

ZOMGZ! MORE STORY INFORMATION!

Quote:
"I think one of my favourite Sapphire and Steels was the one with Mr Shape going in and out of photographs. Torchwood takes this a bit further and it's people coming out of moving films from the '20s. There are some lovely 'black and white' people in it."

As the SFX blog points out, that particular Sapphire and Steel story by Hammond has inspired two recent writers in their Doctor Who scripts, with the faceless people in The Idiot's Lantern and the trapped-in-mirrors resolution to the Family Of Blood.

:O CLASSIC ENEMY ALERT! SONTARANS APPROACHING! Let's see what kind of Makeover they will be getting -hopes for spoiler pics-

Quote:
Monster role for Young Ones star (Series Four spoiler!)

Christopher Ryan, best known for playing super-cool Mike in the classic comedy series The Young Ones, is set for a guest-starring role in an upcoming Series Four adventure.

Ryan will play a Sontaran leader in the story, due to begin filming in the next few weeks.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be appearing in this new Doctor Who," Chris revealed. "The last time I appeared in Doctor Who was in 1986, Colin Baker was the Doctor and I was still a Young One."

The story in question was the Trial Of A Time Lord, where Chris starred as the slug-like Mentor Kiv alongside Trevor Laird, who played Martha's dad in 2007.

If you know your Who lore, the Sontarans will need no introduction. If you're a newer viewer, however, you may not know that the Sontarans are amongst the greatest villains from the classic series of Doctor Who.

A military, warlike species, able to clone vast armies of themselves, the Sontarans are locked into an eternal struggle with their enemies the Rutans.

There's a current ... "I don't believe it" kind of spoiler rumour going around now ... but if it's true it's just something I don't want to say, it's currently at the top of Outpost Gallifrey's news list (www.doctorwhonews.com) so if you want to see it ... go there ... be warned, mega spoilage.

Best ... News ... EVAR! I must tell my English Teacher tomorrow! CAPTAIN JACK IS BACK IN 4! I think I might be consta-rect or something heart I wonder if they'll tell him about ol' Boe ninja

But yeah, he said he's back! HE'S BACK! He starts filming his part after christmas. It might be the return of Martha episode, it might be the end of Series episodes, who knows! It's suspected that Davros is back, and I'm sure Jack wants revenge against the Dalek's creator, since it's basically his fault that he's immortal. Or perhaps it will be a refueling incident again! OR PERHAPS Jack finds Mrs. Saxon, who is rumoured to be The Rani, and tells the Doctor :O ALTHOUGH His Doctor Detector is gone!

Quote:
John Barrowman has confirmed that Captain Jack will return in Series Four of Doctor Who.

Barrowman, speaking exclusively to 'this is Nottingham', stated the following in relation to his return:

"I'm not in the Doctor Who Christmas special, but I come back in Series Four, which starts filming after Christmas. Series Two of Torchwood also starts airing on BBC2 in January."

I just found out this information for series 4, that EVERYONE will love

Here it is!:

Billie Returns To Doctor Who - Official!

The BBC have today confirmed that Billie will be returning to Doctor Who.
She will star in three episodes of the sci-fi drama, reprising her role as the Doctor's companion, Rose Tyler.
Rose's return will mean the Doctor has three assistants in next year's series - Donna, played by Catherine Tate, and Freema Agyeman as Martha.
The new series begins in March and will run for 13 episodes. There will be three special editions in 2009 before the show takes a break until 2010.
A separate show based on Rose had been planned by writer and series producer Russell T Davies, but was scrapped when Davies decided the programme was "a spin-off too far".
Filming is currently under way in Cardiff for the new series of Doctor Who, which sees the Doctor meeting an old group of enemies - the Sontarans - 35 years after first encountering them.
Before that, the programme will return to television screens at Christmas with a special episode set on the Titanic, which will co-star singer and actress Kylie Minogue.

Yep, worst news about the series so far. I meant to post it earlier but I've only come out of shock ...

Some news coming in the Christmas Special post.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 27, 2007 11:53 am

How can that be bad news? I liked Rose as the Doctor's companion!

Well, we've only just got use to the new companions, so i would understand.

I did kinda like her, she was quite a good companion, but ... It's going to be terribly hard to incorporate her return I fear. Here's a few things;

1) The doctor was going to say he loved her, it never came out. Is he going to say it to her or is he going to act as if nothing happened?
2) How is he going to get her back? He said that he sealed up the breach, entirely, continuity issues.
3) Would Rose really want to return? Would she be forced to by some unknown force or will she go by force. If she returns I doubt she'd go without her Mother, "Father" and other people.

All I can say is ... bitchfest xd
