Roule dawdled around, feeling slightly alienated. He didn't really belong him, and although Vince wasn't the most sociable type, at least his dragon seemed to know the other dragons. He only recognized the nervous raven boy he had met briefly (although he looked a great deal more pink than Roule had remembered) and the odd goat boy at the visit to the zoo.
As he looked around, he realized with dread that Cody was there too. Pinks flushing a light pink in embarassement, he stepped around a large white dragon who Vince looked up with a grudging sense of respect, and dodged out of sight, squatting on the ground. The smell of asphalt made him feel slightly hazy but it didn't matter - they just had to wait until Alan got here. And did whatever the boss does.
He looked gloomily at the white drake, who looked back at him with equal disinterest. This wasn't quite as exciting as he had first imagined.

Finally the trickle of students up the elevators halted and Peri took off in a run towards the dragon stables. Once inside, the man saw that the situation had not gotten any better. In fact, it seemed to have gotten worse. Auloll and Palas were still bickering with several of the other dragons quipping in comments from time to time.
Auloll gave a loud hiss and her tail smacked a wall rather loudly, causing quite some damage. "Give it up, Palas! See, they've even run off and fetched those little brats our children have been forced to live with. I see some gold scales in that group. They're pitting our own children against us!"
Before Palas could respond, Perilas had stormed over to the railing. "THAT IS ENOUGH, AULOLL!" His shout brought a moment's calm from the dragons and Peri continued. "These kids are not here to fight you. They've merely been asked to come talk to you, to let you know how well your children are being cared for." With that, Peri glanced over at the kids as if to say 'Okay, now it's your turn, guys!'.

Chath came to a halt as Peri stopped in front of them skidding basically to a stop. He was in such a rush to get to their destination that he hadn't payed much attention to where they were going.
His eyes went huge, the older dragons were enormous. And the blacks frightening. Their sunken faces and horns made them more than just menacing...but downright evil. He cast a glance to Keir to see what his reaction was.
The black dragon merly stared at the female black with a mixture of awe and unease, she was magnificant. Perfect from head to toe, he craned his neck upwards to get a better look at her inspiring form.
Chath jumped as he and the others were addressed, he was suppose to talk about how well he has been taking care of Keir? Couldn't Keir honestly tell them what he thought of the whole arrangement?
"Well..honestly...when I first recieved Keir I was afriad of him.." Chath started honestly rubbing the back of his head in earnest as if embaressed to reveal such a detail. "But...a lot of times has passed and now..though we do have difference of opinion's on certian subjects..I know I can trust my life with him...and I would do my best to protect him." He finished not sure if any of his words would have much impact on the older dragons. HIs hand came to rest on Keir's head in an affetionate matter.
Zyan came to rest a couple feet away from her brother, her head turning as he spoke, how was that suppose to stop a rebellion? NOt that she had many major plans or ideas of what to say... she had only had Hinder for a short time and the green looked wary of being around so many other dragons.
She knew dragons got big, but when you met one in real life it took your breath away. She blinked her large eyes slowly as if unsure if she should move...dragons were on top of the food chain..her instincts were in full roar. If she stood still long enough perhaps they wouldn't see her? Unlikely.

Ala just stared. Stared at the large, no huge was a much better word for them, dragons. How were they supposed to calm these monsters down?! The koala girl slowly walked closer to the railing, noting the guns the techs were carrying. That was NOT a good sign...
Behind her, Ala could hear another kid saying something. "I really like Bob! He sleeps under my hammock at night and we tell each other stories and he likes to play with sticks that I find him in trees and stuff. He's my bestest friend and we go almost everywhere together! The only times I have to leave him behind is because he's too big... but I try to bring him along when I can."
The brass wyrmling eyed the girl for a long moment, then decided to add in his own two cents. "She named me BOB!" With a snort, he glanced around at the older dragons.

Nibal stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the fighting dragons. They. Were. BIG! Apprehensively, the boy glanced at Kalseru, who seemed to be enjoying watching the older dragons fight. She was going to get that big? Gulping, Nibal hardly heard what some of the other kids were saying and kept quiet himself.
Kal grinned at the adult dragons. "So why did you leave us to be brought up by these puny things? Are you letting them control you like this? You disgust me..." Like she was really one to talk, but Nibal grinned and patted her head. "Good job, Kal," he told her, causing her tail to thump a couple of times against the floor happily.

The techs glanced at the kids apprehensively. Sure, the boss had called them all in, but what could a group of kids do that a group of armed techs couldn't do? Most of the techs lowered their weapons some, but all seemed ready to point them right back at the adult dragons if need be.
Auloll gave a happy grin at the first boy's speech. He was afraid of his, eh? Rightly so, considering the fact that the little black could be one of her own offspring. Her bloodline was to be feared by all others! She ignored the rest of what the newt boy said, then snorted at the silly girl's talk. It was a brass anyways, so who really cared much about it?
The large black female turned her head to glare at the upstart green. "You think we like this? We were tricked into this from the beginning and it's only gotten worse!" She snarled at Kalseru, flicking her tail in irritation.
Palas looked as if he wanted to snap at the black's tail. "You see, Auloll? That boy can even get along with one of your kind. And that girl loves her dragon, too. We are doing much good while we are here and our offspring are well taken care of."
Auloll snarled at the gold male. "Just what do you mean by one of MY kind?"

Ligeia slid down off of Vorel's back much to the Frost Dragon's dislike, he'd rather the owl stay where he was safe. The pair looked around the room and Ligeia wasn't sure what he was more afraid of the ones with the guns or the dragons... after the run in with those bad men so long ago, seeing techs shot and barely being protected by Miss Raven's sheild he was pretty sure he was less afraid of the dragons even if they were looking and sounding quite upset.
He looked up at them, listening to the first Chath and then Ala as they spoke of their partners to the big dragons. He tried to follow what the bigger dragons were saying but they spoke much faster then Vorel did, more words though as Vorel's speech was always much more simple, and they seemed to have accents as well, different ones from each other too. He wondered what they were supposed to say to the dragons that would make them want to stay their rebellion. Surely it couldn't help disposition having people pointing guns at you.
Vorel gave Ligeia a nudge in the shoulder then grinned at the owl boy.
Ligeia gave a smile then took a step forward towards the dragons, "G'rei Oiorai." He greeted the very large dragons, using their language hoping that it would be a good idea. After all he was learning the language so he could better communicate with Vorel who seemed not to be learning English.
"I'm Ligeia Solon, this is Vorel." He motioned to his dragon who had move close to his owl again before sitting next to him. He seemed to think a moment, "I'm not sure exactly what I am supposed to say, I guess I should say that I have been taking good care of Vorel but that doesn't sound exactly right since hes not a pet or my child... hes more like a friend or a sibling and we are close, rarely parting unless its nessasary. Ahh... lets see... we go to classes together and play, we fly a lot and sometimes we even babysit the younger kids."
Vorel's tail swished as he listened to the owl then looked up at the other dragons, quite in awe as he'd never met a dragon bigger then he was before, "Ligeia is a good owl, is my owl." He said simply, then again most of what he said was said in such a manner being as he wasn't the brightest dragon in the place.
*****
Ter was starring a bit wide eyed at his brother, he'd always thought that Ligeia was a bit of a pansy but he'd gathered the nerve up to approach and speak with the rather large and not exactly happy dragons. He wouldn't admit in this moment he was a bit in awe of the owl, he didn't want as much to talk with them as they had a lot of huge, sharp teeth. What if something one said insulted them? What if they wanted a snack?
He didn't want to seem like a wimp, it was the last thing on the list of what he wanted to do but none the less he found himself frozen in his tracks, voice stuck in his throat like it had been when he was younger.
Baroness was just as in awe, looking at the larger dragons and seemed to be doing her best to watch them closely. They were the dragons that all of the hatchlings were to emulate, to grow up to be like. Her tail swished back and forth in delight at the very sight of them, they were massive and beautiful! Palas had said 'their offspring' which had her looking around for other wyverns, curious for an idly moment if she would get a glimpse of her parents.

The dragons were magnificent. With the strangely black-scaled lindworm at her side, Tyven's extremely tall, lean frame moved closer, purple eyes locked on Auloll. They were extremely intelligent. Azucar would be that wise, one day. Probably after Tyven died, of course. Face expressionless as Azucar's tail slid around her waist, she spoke, voice steady, unintimidated yet respectful. They could easily kill any of them. Not that it would be such a tragedy. D-corp produced children as if they came off a factory belt. Not much of a loss.
"Azucar is my teacher. He knows and sees things in a way that I do not, and I value his growing wisdom. However," A slight smile revealed her fangs, and Azucar's expression was almost identical. "I do not believe you need to be pacified, or that your claims are unjust. This corporation has made, and continues to make, many mistakes."
Azucar's teeth flashed, white against black, and he chimed in, voice as smooth as his bond's. "Consider, elder. That these... children... Are not human." Tyven nodded slowly, her reptilian gaze now sliding to the techs with distaste. "No, we are not. Is it not an asset to have ones such as us learning from you, bonding with you, as allies, rather than scientists that seek to manipulate and use you?"
Another toothy smirk from Azucar and he finished for the purple-haired girl. "They are unlike these... 'scientists'... They are ours."

The large black snorted at Vorel. Frost dragons were definitely not the smartest dragons, so she'd just excuse the statement. Then the female turned to Tyven and grinned. "I like this one," she commented in general. Then she addressed Azucar. "They may be different than these 'scientists', but those silly things created your... freaks. They are merely pawns in this war between humans and dragons, trying to change us..."

Fleur stared up at all of the dragons, for once shocked speechless. He had no idea there were so many dragons in D-Corp though he supposed it was silly to assume that there weren't many - after all, where else would the eggs come from? He reached down to scratch Argent's fin, knowing she was extremely intimidated by dragons much larger than herself. He cleared his throat nervously before following the other children's example, speaking up.
"Argent is my closest friend," he explained. "She listens to everything I say and helps me when I...when I need it. She's always there, and I know I can count on her. We've done a lot of things together, things I may never have had the courage to do without her."
Argent was much less sure of herself than her skunk, but since he had voiced his thoughts, she thought it only fair she followed suit, chirping up at the adult dragons in Draconic since she still had not learned English, "M-My boy...he needs me. He so desperately needs me to be there for him all the time, I can't describe it. He can be frustrating sometimes...but can't anyone? The humans and the children - they have thoughts and embarrassments and feelings just like ours. Isn't it natural to want to help someone so close to you regardless of what species he might be?" She was rather proud of herself for speaking up so firmly even as she hid her back half behind her boy to hide the fact that her knees were shaking. As she spoke, she quietly scanned the crowd of dragons, wondering if perhaps her parents were here watching her as well.

Ellie looked at her boy then to the dragons, Aullol first then over to the Gold dragon. She had no desire to speak with the Black just on instinct, the type of dragon she was just made the small Silver's skin crawl a bit. None the less she found her voice, "Valens is an idiot. I would say the horse part of his brain is dominate but even that wouldn't explain some of what he does. Hes... got the directional sense of a rock, he'd rather watch people play a game then join, and most of his favorite hobbies are ones that involve him risking his neck... Argent is right in saying these kids need us." She said, sitting down and let her tail wrap around the leg of her boy, "OBut... on top of my desire to watch after him, to protect him I think I rather like him too, hes a good boy even if hes a bit dense."
Valens was totally oblivious to what was being said about him by his own dragon, instead he was gazing up at the bigger dragons in awe. Woah! Look at them he was thinking, one had huge horns, one had whisker things like a mustashe... how very awesome they were. He set to looking around trying to find a big Silver curious as to what she would look like when she was bigger then realized that ever else was saying something to the dragon,"Huh... ummm... I figure that without Ellie I'd probably be halfway across the world. Not because I wanted to be but because I wanted to get to the bathroom and took a wrong turn." He joked, scratching the back of his head, "She helps me a lot and I love her... erm... that sounds a bit girly, huh?"

Her mind was primarily blank, following suit, simply stated, she followed the crowd down a long hallway as they exited from the overly large elevators. And yet all that space seemed to be too little, children and dragons shoved together in such a confined space, there didn't even seem to be room to breathe. Ultimately, Ephrem had urged Sahra up onto his back—all the individuals, dragons and children, made him particularly wary. With so many he didn’t recognize he wasn't going to be taking any chances. A gasp escaped Sahra's lips as they emerged into a new terrain; dragons of all shapes and mostly large sizes were spread out before them. And as it turned out, they seemed to be quarreling.
This severely irked Sahra. Is that all that ever happened? Was dispute the only thing that every creature, truly, shared at heart? Why couldn’t things just get along for a change—it never made any sense. But Sahra knew that this was life, as treacherous as it may seem, in her bewildered eyes. Anxious, she found her hands gripping the sides of Ephrem's head, uneasily.
"With out Ephrem, my best friend," She motioned her hand toward Ephrem, whom she was still perched upon, "I wouldn’t be who I am. And to say the least, I'd probably be buried somewhere under a tree in a graveyard. I swear he's responsible for me living to this day. He's kept me from making so many stupid decisions. I couldn't even begin to imagine what things would have been like if I never meet him." That was more than truth; it pained her to even attempt such a feat. Ephrem had always been there for her, even when no one else was around. They went everywhere together, for the most part, and he never enjoyed allowing her out of his sight. She got a little irked with him at times, when he got to aggressive towards others, but he'd been getting better, over time.
She knew her Draconic vocabulary was very limited, but she thought she knew enough words, thanks to Re, to say what she was thinking, "I think dragons and their children are a part of each other. They make each other whole." How corny, or at least tacky; but every ounce was truth; to her.
"I would say I have to agree." Ephrem’s face took on a lax expression, his eyes focused angrily on the adults before him—he wasn’t taking his eyes off of them for a millisecond. "Besides," He began, "If you really wanted to leave, why didn’t you already? You could have so easily. And yet you're still here, standing before a bunch of imbeciles with weaponry. I think, in some form or another, you want to stay." Flicking the tip of his tail, he shook his head mildly, eyes never closing.
Sahra had a feeling that what he said wasn't going to sit so well with some of the dragons. She sighed, releasing her grasp momentarily on his cranium, and reinstating it around the thick cable around his neck.

Auloll eyed the two silvers for a long moment before giving a loud snort. "Just goes to show how weak these creatures are! I saw we rid ourselves of these beasts and leave! We have been forced to live here together without proper habitat! I, for one, would love to see this place dissolved in my own acid before finding myself a proper swamp to wallow in."
The black dragon's statement brought forth a cheer from the green dragons and the wyverns. "Yeah! Let's get rid of them! I wanna see them bleed!!!" One wyvern stated, his tail swishing back and forth excitedly.
Palas sighed and a bronze beside him spoke up. "We should be able to come to a peaceful conclusion. I won't allow these men to be harmed! They have done much good to us."
"Yes, they have," Palas agreed. "So we should stay and return the favor. They've fed us and sheltered us, so we should not repay them with violence. And I think the young lindworm is right. If you really wanted to leave, you would've by now. Deep down, you know it is right to stay here."
A frost dragon stepped forward. "You know, I kind of agree. I mean, we went through this last time... But, let's not make a scene guys. Just leave and let them be."
One of the silver males slipped closer to nuzzle the frost who'd spoken up. "Yes, let's just leave. Forget all about this and leave. Don't try to harm them, it's not worth the trouble. Let's just go."
"Yeah," agreed a leviathan. "I miss the ocean! I wanna see the freaking ocean! Forget these stupid pools!"
An amphitere looked scandalized by the leviathan's comment. "What?! Go back to the forests? Do you know how hard it is to stay pretty there?!"
One of the copper dragons looked over at the others. "What's the big freaking deal? You messed up. They scolded you. SO WHAT? Do you not realize that we get free food here?! We don't have to catch it! They bring it right to us. How easy is that? Oooh... I wonder if they'll bring me another sheep...."
"No, no, let them leave. Especially those stupid brasses," one of the blues stated. "In fact, all of you can just leave. We're the best, so you can leave and let us just stay here."
Meanwhile, the red dragons seemed to be in a bit of a confused mess. "Oooh... killing the humans sounds like so much fun!!" One of them commented. "Yeah, but... We look so good here!" "Yeah!" agreed the other reds.
The asian lungs glared for a long moment at the blues. "We have our honor to uphold. We did agree to this contract, so we should stay and keep our end of the deal no matter what they say. We're in the wrong here, so we should just apologize and get on with it."
A brass nodded happily. "Yes! After all, we're doing a lot of good here! We have all this knowledge to pass along and I'm- er, WE- are doing an excellent job. Why should we stop now? There is still much I- uh, we- could tell them that would help."
However, two of the other breeds were looking very confused. The white dragons looked from group to group. "Fight? Ooh... yes, fight sounds good... HEY! Wait up! We wanna fight too!!" They ran to join up with the group forming around Auloll while the lindworms just sat for a while longer.
Finally, one of the lindworms spoke up. "There's a good chance that that's my kid..." He stated, pointing at Azucar. "I say whatever he says goes!" While the others agreed, they moved closer to the brass and asian lung dragons.
Peri stared down as five different groups began to form from the two that had been there previously. "Errr... perhaps we should break up into smaller groups to deal with them more one-on-one..." He told the kids, trying to do a quick count to get semi-equal groups.
"Uh... you guys go try and reason things out with Auloll..." He told Ligeia, Chath, Revon, Ala, and Keanu. "You see if you can talk Palas into convincing the others some more," he pointed at Nibal, Valens, Nero, and Lucia. "Next, you guys try the asian lungs and that group." This time he indicated Sahra, Zyanya, Anoki, and Liam.
"Okay... so..." now he chose Indigo, Cody, Fleur, Cleo, and Ter, "you guys try to get the group around that blue dragon involved in someone besides themselves.... And the rest of you can talk to the silver and frost couple over there..."
