Karis laid there in the grass thoughtfully. She considered what he was saying. She nodded as it made sense to her; but she also thought it almost sounded like.. Did he need a hug? She didn't like to assume or invade anyone's space. She rolled over to look at his face. "Does Carnage need or want a hug? or.. maybe wants to try it? To see if he likes it?" She smiled with sincerity as she was ready to give him one if he wanted it.

"Course I don't need one!" His fur darkened around his cheek area. That wasn't something he expected to hear. He wouldn't ever need a hug! What was a hug anyway... he thought about it more. "Unless you need a hug.. I guess..." He looked away and his tail fluffed; then twitched at the thought him being nice.

Was he just stubborn or what? She did notice how he seemed ok with it if she wanted it; but he refused to want it, or at least admit he wanted it. Then thinking about it, it had been a while since she had a good hug. She gained some control over the smile that just wanted to plaster itself on her face.
She then drew back a tad and lunged forward. She wrapped her arms around his neck, tucking the side of her face against him, her ears brushing up against his. Her body hitting his with a gentle force that if he wasn't ready for it would make them roll over once or twice. She didn't say a word; she just let the comfort of those kind of embraces say all that was needed to be in a time like this.

It darkened. The fur and caught off gaurd he rolled back. Enough to have him rolled on top of her. His eyes widened large and he shook his head some. She was.. er attached to him and he started to flail. "GAUHHH! ARE YOU OK!? WAIT WHY'D YOU DO TAT FOR!?" He had his arms curled around her from the rolling and still to her sides. Not even noticing that but the shock she did that made him nervous. "Ah..ah.." His eyes turned to a light gaze to her. Shy like sort of.

She looked at him relaxed but slightly puzzled. "Oh, but you said if I needed a hug And, I thought about it. I couldn't remember the last time I had a good hug from someone. I know you say you don't need one, but you sure looked like you did to me. Are you saying my hug is no good and doesn't feel nice?" She feigned some shock and astonishment.

"Oh! That isnt what I ment really it felt nice! I mean it did! wait! I dunno!" he started flailing and hugs her back then. Sighing.
"Well if you needed one then it is ok~ I guess. I dunno.." Lets her go quickly like looks away blushing. Not being able to take it.

Karis watched his every move, studying them all. After he released her, she got up and strolled over to a nearby brook of water. She sat down and drank from it. She smiled to herself as she felt rather satisfied with his reaction.
She wagged her tail so it looked like a duster, and she looked back at Carnage. "Oh dear... I guess I will just have to take a chance that noone comes by and hurts me since there is noone to look out for me. It's ok though. I'm sure if something did happen like that; my body will just float away down the stream to wherever the river ends."

"What!?" He ran over to her and skitted. That wasnt a bright idea for he tripped and fell in to the stream. Clinged on to a rock though. He didnt like water at all. Lick a cat he just hated it. Only unless it was to take a shower and this wasnt a time like that.
"Err...grr.r...
NOThING IS GUNNA HAPPEN TO YOU OK! CUZ YA! You gotta take care of yourself and im here anyways... so... nothing will happen to you for now ~"

Karis tried to help him up. Her face was painted with a look of concern and worry. "oh no. I'm so sorry. Is this my fault? It is; isn't it? Let me help you... Thank you for coming to help me so quickly though. I appreciate it so much."
She looked at him with kindness and compassion. She ran a hand through his wet hair on the top of his head. She started to feel concerned he would get sick or something.

"Gah. I'll get sick over this yea know! I didn't know I would have to stop so dang quickly!" When she touched him he flinched and moved to the side where he could possibly get up.
Putting both his front paws to a rock and pulling up all his weight. Which wasnt very much but still. Wet fur weighed a lot more. Shaking his face a little to full y see and open his eyes. "Should apperciate? Better yea mean. If something happened to you. Look. This couldn've happen to yea. Becareful where and who your saying things like that to!" he scorned knowing he was to get sick. Almost never being in water at all. Having his face in it made him sick always. Without fail.

Karis licked one of her fangs inside her mouth as she tried to figure out a way to help him dry to prevent him from getting sick. She watched him pull himself out of the water. "Well, I am sorry you got all wet. I already apologized." Her eyes looked away with tinge of sadness.
She had wanted him to chase after like that; she just didn't think he'd wind up in the water. Her eyes then started to meekly look back up at him. "If you get sick, I'll take care of you ok? I promise. I'm sure there has to be a way to make sickness go away really quick. Just gotta find out how to do it." She gently put a paw against his shoulder.

"Listen. I don't want yea to get sick ok. I could take care of myself. Like I said. I don't need anyone!" he didn't mind her paw to his shoulder but he lightly crawled out and layed to the side of a rock. Almost sleeping immediately but it was just a slight nap. Where his eye still was looking around.
She was worried? But why. She could just leave. if she known that...

Karis sat up with an indignant look on her face and crossed her arms. "Oh ok. I see how it is. You don't need anyone... so you're the only person who matters? That's like another way to say that you don't like me. That you don't want me to be nice to you and try to help you. Well, excuse me! I happen to be a nice ulaya. I can't help it. That's just who I am... I happen to just be nice by nature. Well... if I am such a bother then... "
She turned her head away, and her body got up to walk away. Finally, she turned her head back towards him with an offended look in her eye. "Then.. I'll just go. Because I don't need you to snap at me and bite my head off for trying to be nice to you. There's nothing wrong with accepting kindness from me, you know? Just because you let me do something nice to you. It doesn't make you any less of a male."

Those words she said.. sounded more like bullets than words. His eys were full of shock and hurt. He...Just didn't know what to do. He turned his head to respond but with that stare healmost was...
too badly hurt to even talk.
"I..I-" Not even that.Couldnt even spit out a sentence and he lifted a paw up. Soaking wet, but he lightly lifted it towards her.. then retorted it back to grasp his chest fur. Had it been the most awful day ever. He thought so. He turned his head now so he couldn't look at her no longer. He'd sit there to his fur dried out or.. wait til someone passed him. Not even with that. He guessed it was now for the better she leave.
"It didn't bother me.." He mumbled. Lying his head down to rest on his arms.

For even as rough as she was seeming to be towards him, she stopped quite a number of feet away, but she sat on the ground within a distance enough he would still see her if he looked. She chewed her lip as she thought to herself how difficult it was to deal with him; and she wondered why he was like that. Why wouldn't he just say what he had to? Or be honest...
In truth, part of her had intended and wanted to just leave all together. Still, there was a large part of her that was far too nice of a person to do those kind of things. She stopped and sat where she was. She sat sitting up, and her head tilted downwards and just to the side.
Then, she thought about him falling into the river. He had fallen in because he came.. just like she wanted him to. Maybe she was making things a little too hard. Maybe it was too much effort. She had caught out of the corner of her eye.. that arm that started to move up.
Karis found a tall patch of grass and slid into it, laying on her back. She laid so that if you weren't close enough; you couldn't see her at all. One could almost walk on her. She sighed there trying to decide what to do. Should she just leave him like that? It didn't seem right; but he wouldn't let her help him either. She didn't know how to deal with him.
