Lupy smiled at Gabby as she joined them, and then at Sam. He couldn't wait for the class to start, so that it could end again, and he could grab some lunch before quiditch practice.

"Heya Gabby" Said Kit as the other girl pulled up the chair next to her, she smiled at her, hoping that Gabby some how new more about potions then she did, and would help her get through this class un harmed.

Belle scowled as the happy little group gathered at the back of the classroom, she hoped that Snape would take some house points away from them to make them less chipper.

"That's enough," snapped Severus, looking in the direction of the chatting students. In this dark dungeon, there would be no need for chit-chat. He remembered when he was a student in potions class and talking to someone else was out of the question. The class demanded the utmost attention if one were to succeed.
"I no doubt assume you're aware of the unusually pleasant smell eminating from my cauldron," he said matter of factly, as if it were displeasing that anyone should enjoy it. "Today you will be concocting a brew that is more aesthetically pleasing than useful. While some of you may smell pumpkin juice another lot of you may be smelling roast chicken," he continued, his nose scrunched as if he smelled something foul.
"The very complexity of the Palatte potion can make it something to be desired or..." he said with a slight grin, "something deadly. A single slip, a wrong measurement of an ingredient can turn this brew from delicious to poisonous. I do hope you follow the instructions carefully, as you'll be testing your partner's finished product at the end of class." He turned around with a sweep of his robe and stared at the class, obviously enjoying the sense of fear he no doubt instilled in his students.
Tapping his wand at the chalkboard, the page number the potion could be found on appeared. "Begin," he finished, opening his stockroom for use.

Gabby was excited about this class, but after the little lecture she felt a little nervous. Realizing this was no game or time for fun. She whispers to Kit, I hope we get to be partners and not get stuck with one of the other students, Like Belle, she scares me and i wouldn't be surprised if she purposly tried to poison us.

Lupy hadn't been paying a whole lot of attention to Snapes lecture, but when he heard him say 'begin' he quickly turned to Sam and Said "Shall we?" as he pulled his cauldron off of the floor and set it on the table infront of them, making sure to light a fire underneath of it, so that they could get started.

Opening his book to the page indicated, he didn't see the afformentioned potion listed there, he quickly flipped a few pages on either side of the indicated page and then flipped to other pages containing those numbers before Raising his hand for the proffessor to call on.
((perhaps it is just me, but in my searches i can not seem to find the potion you mentioned, is there some where specific i should be looking??))

((No no, I completely made this up, I was kind of hoping you guys would improvise, but I can post something tomorrow as to the ingredients and things for this potion, as well as steps. Hell, it could be fun.))

Gabby and Kit pair up and start looking at their potions book. Gabby was relieved that Sam was Lupys partner, She didn't want LaAngel around him too much.

Lupy read through the list of ingredients to the potion and then headed to the cuboard to gather what he would need.

Belle didn't even bother to look around for a partner, rather she looked up at snape and raised her hand as she said "My sister will be joining us shortly, she will be my partner today" she said mater-of-factly.
