I've never talked down about any form of professional help. My parents never sent me to one, in fact the refused to send me to one until after they found out how bad it was. I wanted the help but couldnt get it. I think that everyone should have someone to talk to that has some sort of knowlege on psychology. It helps to talk, even about mundane things. I would never make my child go to a psychologist or anyone unless they ask for one.

Rellik San carmen45 my theropist makes me take alot of meds. and constantley puts me on news ones. I have: 1 pill for a sleeping disorder, 1.5 pills for allergies, 2 pills for ADD and ADHD, 1 pill for depretion, and on top of all that i have chronic asma Why does your psych prescribe you allergy tablets? O_O beats me

carmen45 my theropist makes me take alot of meds. and constantley puts me on news ones. I have: 1 pill for a sleeping disorder, 1.5 pills for allergies, 2 pills for ADD and ADHD, 1 pill for depretion, and on top of all that i have chronic asma Lieeess.

OK at first my mom said no to pills which they were going to recommend before I even sat down and talked to the lady! Then when I started disagreeing to my mom she said I should be on pills. She got me pills and i was sane enough to dump them down the drain. no person for that matter stranger is putting me on pills. so don't go tellin me that there trying to help cuz they get payed good money and sorry but theres some greedy bastards in this wolrd that would do anything to get money. My dad is wondering why my mom put me in there in the first place so don't qoute me saying maybe your moms right cuz compaired to my dad my mom is not bright. plus she's the one who had brain surgery so I think I'm right on this one.

Unless your therapist is also your physician, they only have the authority to prescribe medicine for depression.
Sleeping disorders, ADD and ADHD fall under a physician...your physical DOCTOR.
You don't need to have allergy ANYTHING prescribed to you, and as for asthma, what the crap does that have to do with anything?

Striped Panties I want to be one when i get older, but i want to be in the army also My teacher says i can join the army at 16, then retire by 38 and then become a psychiatrist, but that might be a bit old? i dunno? You must be joking. That's exactly what I want to do. I'm planning on getting my Bachelors first then becoming an officer. A psychiatrist has just as much medical training as any other doctor, really they could prescribe anything as 8 years of medical school is required.
