Scarlet watched Lucien with a careful eye, she was use to many different tactics but wasn't sure what to expect from him, in truth, he was one of the demons she had decided not to watch while training, a pity now, but first hand experience was always more thrilling and invigorating.
As Lucien began to rush forward, Scarlet readied her sai's, but was shocked to see him leap into the air, he was trying again to pin her down. A fool's errand, but he would succeed in getting her to the ground for now. There was no safe way to stay in the air and avoid the attack, so she did what she could, folded her wings and fell the rest of the way to the ground. Luckily for her she wasn't too high up to get injured and upon her descent, manged to crouch and avoid a harsh impact.
She was aware however, that Lucien was above her with a ranged weapon and so her eyes had remained focused on him as she fell, and she lifted her sai's above her head cutting at the air, in two arc's, one with each sai, one after another at Lucien as he flew in the air.
It wasn't the best attack, and she highly doubted it would hit, it was more to stop him from attacking her until he got to the ground. Then the real battle would begin. Scarlet had no intention of returning to the air for now, she wanted to see what Lucien could do in a battle that was more even.

Scarlett had retreated to the ground, or more like slammed into it. Lucien, suspended in the air as gravity began to pull him down, looked at his spear. He could've thrown it down with her so vunerable for those split seconds, but noticed the sai's being thrown and launched toward him. There was nothing in the air he could do to attack as the sai's blocked him from throwing the spear, so he readied himself to fall. Hard and full of shocking pain to his legs Lucien landed, and almost fell to his knees as they shook and regained stability. He looked over at Scarlett with a curious look, gripping his weapon again, but could do nothing for a few moments.
Then he started forward, slowly, a grin covered his dust-covered face. His hair fell over his eyes and face, and he shook it out of the way. Stopping about a range of ten feet frm Scarlett, he put his free hand on his hip, eyes lighting up again. "Well! I hope you're to stay on the ground now. You'll get me to break my legs before the battling starts if you stay up there." He may have seemed leisure for the moment, but his body was relaxed and ready to leap again at anytime. if not as strong, still able.
Now that Scarlett was out of the air and they were both on the ground, the sceptors shook their heads, returning to their own training seeing nothing more interesting. A few stayed to watch, but Lucien could hear the cries of taunts, sounds of metal and smell of blood taint the air and area once more. The area was crowding to train as old bodies, smelly bodies, and muc more tromented the air. The place was regaining, like it did everyday, it's unclean sense of it. Lucien could only take in the air with a soothing smile across his face.
It gave him courage. And strength, for the moment, to fight Scarlett. He took a deep breath, grit his teeth, and shot forward at Scarlett, as if a sword in his hand. With a medium spear it was easier to manuever, but not easiest, and as he neared the female demon he thrust his spear forward with the wooden end. He really didn't want to hurt her; why give a wondrous warrior any wounds before the battling? he wasn't sure about her thoughts on that ordeal, but hey, he would learn to take it.

Scarlet rose to her full height quickly as she watched Lucien hit the ground, and remain there for a while, she knew that he had hurt himself, she had hurt her legs on the ground, but not that bad. Of course, this was also his second fall to the ground, and the first had been more major. Instead of attacking, she waited to see what he was going to do, or, apparently, say.
Scarlet was one of those fighters who waited to see what her opponent would do first, learn their moves, if she could, and then when they were use to her waiting, strike randomly without notice. It didn't always work, and had backfired on a few occasions, but she had always come out on the winning side. Well, she eventually did.
As he spoke she laughed and retorted, "Well I'll keep that in mind for future reference Lucien" she said with an evil wink and playful yet deadly tone.
She noticed then that many of the other demons resumed their training, the metal clanging in the air, the screams returning, these were the sounds of battle, and Scarlet was happy to hear them once again. She also took note that a few crows had gathered and were sitting on the rocky ledges, waiting no doubt for a demon to fall. The ravens didn't bother her as much as the fact that one of them could be Hel, that was always un-nerving but only because Scarlet never knew what the Deity would ask of her.
Still, she kept her focus, and when Lucien rushed forward, Scarlet waited, in a stance, and she twirled to the side as he trust his spear. Not that she was expecting it, but more for the fact that she never remained in the same spot for a long time. She used her left sai to push the spear farther from her, and extended her right arm, so that the tip of the sai was pointing at Lucien's throat. Whether he would run into it, was yet to be determined.

When done washing himself, Falkor stood up and stepped out of the bath, though didn't get rid of the water yet. He took a towel and dried his hair then his body. The man put the towel over his left shoulder, picked his light silk shorts and put them on again. He took an empty bucket, which used to contain the water he used for his bath, and dumped it in the bath, filling it with water. Although the water was dirty a bit, Falkor didn't mind; the water was still clear, so it was still good to clean. He took the bucket out of the ivory colour bath, walked to the door, opened it and walked out of the room. As he stepped into the bedroom, Falkor felt a strange, yet the feeling wasn't anything new since it was the same as when he stepped into the Inn, and the same as before he walked up the stairs to the second floor. Falkor felt observed, though no one seemed to be in the room, or peeking out of his window somehow. The heavy swordsman only shrugged and slightly shook his head, the thought leaving his mind.
Falkor walked to his bed where his equipments were laying and sat beside his pieces of armours, as well as his sword Shame. The adventurer put the bucket of water down beside his right foot, took the towel in his hand and dipped a part of it in the bucket, soaking it with the semi-dirty water. In his free hand, the human took a piece of armour and brought the towel to it, rubbing the dark blue metal with the soaked part, washing it and taking away the dirt and possibly bad smell that covered it. Falkor took his time and cleaned his entire armour, making sure to not miss a spot. He then took Shame and placed it on his knees; the knight ran his eyes as well as his right hand on the blade, admiring it once more. It had nice carvings, and the colours were still bright and intact; the design on it was so well done, it almost seemed like if the weapon was really alive, it felt like the yellow eye could either blink or look at you any minute. Even though the name of the sword was Shame, and the armour Deception, Falkor was still very proud of the two; they were made in the finest steel there could be found, never broke or cracked, never failed him in battle. His lips formed a light smile as he started to rub the sword's blade with the towel, being careful not to cut himself on Shame's sharp edge.

Lucien took a blow to the throat as the sai hit him. He staggered back, swaying only slightly. He looked up, taking a breath in, not even waiting or talking this time. he shot forward again, as if he were going to do the same thing, but tried something different this time. With huge effort, he turned his foot and manuevered around the demon. Taking the wooden end of his spear once more, Lucien, still on one foot now, pushed forward and attempted to jab Scarlett in the point of her lower back and spine.
Loosing his balance slightly, he yelped quietly, bringing his spear back from the punishing blow and almost falling backwards. He ran back a few paces, finally catching his balance, and to the annoyance of the remaining crowd laughng with their gurgling voices. he could only glare back, but shook it off, watching Scarlett curiously.

Instead of walking into her chambers, Hel stopped and stood on the high platform. She watched as Lucien made his jump, smirking to herself as Scarlett fully dodged him. 'That's my girl,' she praised the demon inwardly. Hel walked a bit further, coming to her throne made entirely of human bones. She sat down with a smooth motion, crossing one leg over the other, which exposed her feet. They both had black heels worn on them, but one foot was obviously different than the other. Just the same as her skeleton-like arm, one leg was completely bone. Her piercing gray eyes stared as the fight went on, smirking at the dust cloud. She had a feeling that this would be an interesting fight. Instead of getting annoyed at the various demons and giants for stopping their training to watch, she almost enjoyed it. Although it did make her a bit angry at the fact they weren't training as she told them to. The chanting and insulting phrases yelled at Lucien would only aggrivate him more, and that would wear him down a bit. Not that she wanted a skilled demon such as Lucien to lose, per se, but she just wanted to see if he would learn anything from fighting with Scarlett. Not to mention, it was quite amusing to see her little rebel being beat by a girl.
----------------------------------
In Asgard, the night was slowly making its way into the sky. Although it was still bright out, a halfmoon shown clearly in the sky. It lit up the land, making the golden statues and beautiful white buildings glow with heavenly hues. A majority of the gods and goddesses were circled together in the center of the great plain Idavoll, conversing about the preparations to the war. As a goddess made her way into the group, one stood up to greet her. "Good evening, Nott. I hope you've had a plesant sleep," the great god bowed slightly to her as she smiled off the grogginess of sleep. Indeed, she was the goddess of the night, a nocturnal goddess of the dark, but beautiful, night skies. "Thank you, Odin, I have had a pleasing sleep. No thanks to this war that threatens or status," she responded, bowing a bit more shallow to him. The great god just smiled contently to her, for she knew what this little meeting was for. He turned to th group, raising his hands in a subtle motion, asking for their attention. "The great battle of Ragnorak will soon be upon us, therefore tomorrow we shall alert those not present that our preparations will be starting as soon as possible. Not only will we use our weapons, but our wits as well. This battle will not be an easy one, and we need all of our skills to beat this force," he said, making eye contact with each and every deity, getting confirmation from their nods and cheers of acceptance. "As for now we will need rest, and I must go look after my men," hesaid, nodding a goodbye to everyone as they all slowly departed one by one. He began to walk to his great hall, but turned back for a moment. "Have a good night, Nott," he smiled to her before departing from Idavoll.
As he made his way to Valhalla, Odin couldn't help but notice that Freya wasn't at the get together. Knowing his wife, she could be anywhere, and he knew that he could do nothing but wonder about her. She was indeed beautiful, as anyone could see, but she got around and he couldn't tie her to his side. She was a free bird, and that was exactly what intrigued him.
Odin walked through the huge doors of Valhalla, making his way down the long, empty hall. He knew where everyone would be, for dinner was a thing none of his men would miss. Opening the next door he walked into the dining hall, seeing his men feast and converse proudly, made him smile heartily. He sat in his own chair, a glass of wine already waiting for him at his secluded table. He picked it up and took a sip, watching the warriors with a happy look in his eye. Wine was the only thing he could drink, never eating anything but that. He looked over to the bronze perch, where his two ravens watched him with wise eyes. It was then that he noticed Geri and Freki, his two wolf companions, eating his rations for the day out of two overflowing bronze bowls. Odin couldn't help but smile, even though the thought of the up and coming war which would devistate all three lands.

Clean too, Gudrun smirked to herself. He's not at all what I expected. The sword, though, left her a bit confused; it must have been some difficult task to achieve some a demonic looking thing. That or very expensive, which she guessed the armour was as well. Crossing her arms she simply watched, her eyes moving along every muscle of his back as he worked at his sword. Right now, her job was the last thing on her mind. Who cared about who was dying in a battle when here sat a fine specimen she could watch day in and out? She started rubbing at her earlobe again, pondering if she should reveal herself to the human or not. Would he react instantly and point the sword at her neck, or would he be interested as to why she was here? She would test him a little at first, and sat lightly on the far end of the bed to see how he would react.

Falkor kept his focus on his blade, still cleaning it. It was a long and large blade, so completely cleaning the blood and dust off of it took a while. Though, when Gudrun sat on the bed, Falkor stopped cleaning his sword and lift his head up slightly, looking in front of him. The man felt like something, another weight was just put on the mattress. He turned his head where Gudrun sat, but couldn't see her; though he did notice something was there. No pieces of armour was on that spot, and yet, the bed formed a slight bump. Could it be a ghost? But why would a ghost be stalking him, and observing him without doing anything? Maybe an invisibility spell? Falkor turned his head back to Shame, closed his eyes slightly and breathed in. He slowly stood up, sword in hand, without doing any rough movements. He walked a few steps away from the bed, then turned and looked at Gudrun, though to him, he was looking in thin air.
''Who or what are you? Show yourself!'' Falkor ordered with a rather harsh tone in his voice.
The former knight was still looking where the valkyrie had sat, frowning his brows. He wasn't in a fighting stance yet, but was ready for an attack if there would be one.

Well, at least it's better than being violent altogether...
Gudrun held up her hands in defence, then revealed herself to the man, a smile on her face as an indication of friendliness. "Forgive me for spying on you. I was merely...interested in the man under all of that armour, that is all. You can probably tell what I am from my dress..." She twitched the wings on her heels and on her golden headband for emphasis. "It may seem strange that I'm not somewhere else, taking the dead to Asgard, but I need a break from that kind of morbid work." Gudrun stood up, her hands still in a defensive position as she turned to her right a bit to show that a sword was strapped to her back. Better to reveal all she had than for him to find it later and take offence to it...

Scarlet smiled as her sai made contact, the blood from the demon glistening on the tip of her blade, of course, in the darkness it wasn't nearly as brilliant and glistening as it would be in the light. Still, she was pleased with her work, and lowered her sai's as she watched Lucien sway from the shock of the blow.
She opened her mouth to speak, but remained silent as he rushed forward yet again. He managed to get behind her and Scarlet, though Scarlet had bent her knees in preparation to jump once more, his spear made contact with her back, but with only a slight amount of force. The weakness of the attack threw scarlet off for a moment, causing her to stumble forward before turning to look at the stumbling Lucien.
She laughed along with the demons at his almost complete lack of grace, but she was pleased that he had managed to compose himself. The blood still ran from his neck, and she wondered how long it would be before it either clotted closed or he fainted from the lose of it.
"You know" she said, relaxing her pose, "you should get that looked at" she motioned to his throat with the bloody sai. "Wouldn't want to lose too much blood would we?" she teased with a grin. Then she took her sai and licked both sides of it clean, careful not to cut her tongue with the blade. "Especially not such rich, full blood" she teased more, laughing at the end, eyes sparkling. She enjoyed taunting her opponents, it gave her almost as much pleasure as fighting them herself.
"Of course, we've barely trained, and I doubt Hel would approve of the progress if we ended it here, so" she said, before resuming a fighting pose and pausing for a few seconds. She locked eyes, her grin faded, and she finally showed that she was focused for the real battle, no more waiting and watching.
She rushed at Lucien and when she was only five feet from him, jumped in the air, tail unwrapping in hopes to grab the spear when he attacked with it. She twisted herself she her back was parallel to the ground, her sai's extended with her arms as she aimed for each of his shoulders.

Lucien glared at Scarlett as she took her turn to speak and taunt. Truth to tell, his throat was beginning to hurt, and bleed. He put his hand up to it, the blood seaping down to his white blouse. But he couldn't give up now; not when Hel asked him to train, beause he couldn't show her any weakness if she was still watching. His vision blurred with quick turns and motions, and when Scarlett rushed forward, for a second, he wasn't sure what to do. He put his hand down, gripping his spear as she jumped into the air, jabbing it forward so she couldn't come down on him. Scarlett just get getting him, over and over again; he was going to make sure he didn't pick an airborne enemy on the fields against Odin. They were obviously his disavantage.
I have to do something. But what could he do? Scarlett was pon him again, in the air, going to strike; if she were to lift up, he would only fall to the ground again, maybe even break a bone the next time around. hose sais caused a lot of damage to his neck, and he was still loosing his darkened blood, and soon enough would lose too much to go on. He had to figure something out! Instead of staying there, he jumped to the side as quickly as he could so scarlett would either retreat upwards, come get him, hit the ground or whatever else she had planned. Either way, he was through with not spearing her, and angry.
Cruel and unjust, Lucien through the medium spear with force as to peirce Scarlett's wing, shoulders or back once and for all, if she was stupid enough to let it happen. But, it had to work, because if it didn't, Lucien only had his fists. He couldn't win with those; not against Scarlett. Hope raised in his heart, and his body tensed. She was a sure opponent. He felt sorry for all of the ones she must've took on earlier.

Scarlet wasn't prepared for him to move, but her tail was ready for the spear, whether jabbed or thrown. She deflected the spear as Lucien jabbed it forward, at her while she jumped over him, though her prefered landing spot was now no longer there. She had planned to spear his shoulders, and plant her feet on his back, but he was no longer beneath her, so she would have to follow through with the jump to the end.
This of course didn't help when the spear was thrown, not the smartest of moves of course. If he didn't have his spear, well then, he was defenseless. Not that it was a pointless move, Lucien managed to cut Scarlet a bit as her tail grabbed the wooden handle and flicked it away from her; apparently not fast enough.
She landed easily on her feet and looked at Lucien, her sais in her hands, his spear in her tail, a grin on her face. She wasn't worried about him any more, she held all the advantages, three weapons to none, her ability to fly, and the fact that he was wounded.
"You have much to learn Lucien" she said, walking slowly towards him, not as a fighter, but as a victor, and a cocky one at that. Not that she let her guard down or that she was not aware of what could happen, she was, but it was in her walk, the slow, femine walk; not to mention the grin.
She stopped only five feet from him, his spear pointed over her left shoulder, ready to jab forth should he move towards her. "Perhaps I can teach you another day. Sooner if you end this fight now" she said, giving him the choice. She could clearly fight for longer, but he was loosing blood and she knew it.
It wasn't a cowards way out, but she was letting him admit defeat as opposed to just handing it to him, and for some demons that was worse.

His heart dropped when Scarlett landed so gracefully. The spear had barely hit her, barely scraped her, and now she was before him as a winner, to strike him with his weapon should he continue. He looked hopeless for a few moments, then glared stubbornly at the other demon, his eyes along hers and his spear all the while. How desperately he wanted to do something, how wonderful it would be to win; but from the start the demon had had the advantage, and over and over again tore him down. Could he take anymore? the logical answer would be no, but his heart and emotions said yes. But it wasn't wise, and he needed to be ready for Hel and her forces.
He put his head down, cringing slightly at the pain in his neck as he put a hand to it. Quietly, he murmured, but made sure she and only Scarlett could hear, "You win. For now." Lucien looked up at her with a glare, of stubborness, defeat, and anxiety. How it hurt to lose, but there was always those better than him, and being such a simple formed demon had so many disadvantages. He looked at his spear with lighted eyes, "Although, I do want that back, you know." Maybe it was the weapon that ruined his abilities? Should he try something else? Lucien just wasn't sure at the moment.
But, he had done what Hel asked him of. And even if she was laughing, dissapointed, or didn't care at all didn't matter to him. Defeat was always a part of learning to win. And although it hurt sometimes, there was always a time for redemption. He didn't like Scarlett, but she was a worthy, respectable opponent, and he couldn't deny that as much as he wanted to. let people laugh and glare down at him with pointed fingers, let them, be stronger, skilled, and thoughtful. Lucien was still learning, and only mabe could Scarlett help him with that? But it was for the future, if they both lived. Yet for now, he was sure the woman was.
His neck would be scarred, but to a wonderful cause. Lucien put his hand down from the neck, eyesight going a bit fuzzy again, as he waited for Scarlett's reply.

Scarlet watched his eyes, looked into them deeply, saw them looking back, at her, at the spear, saw the rage of emotions in his eyes, and her eyes only sparkled in return. Part of her wanted him to try again, a large part actually, just so she could shut him down once more. The other side knew that Hel would be losing a skilled warrior if he did try to continue, that was, if she wounded him more, and she was sure that she would.
Finally his head hung in defeat and her grin widened, his reponse almost made her laugh at loud, for now? Well perhaps, but he'd have to train a lot more before that would happen, and not just strength wise, that wasn't the problem, it was mentally he needed to prepare. She could teach him that much, but not by fighting, well, perhaps, but demons were hard to train, they didn't tend to listen much. Scarlet also didn't really care to teach him, she just knew that she could if asked by Hel, not that she'd ever offer.
The crows who were sitting in the rocks, were now flying around once more, knowing the battle was over, and that both demons were "alive" and food would not be had from them.
Scarlet was about to answer the demon as he mentioned his spear, was going to say she'd keep it until he learned better, but then she'd have to take care of it. Keep it with her so another demon wouldn't take it, and that was far from worth the effort. However, she wasn't just going to hand it over, no, that wasn't her personality. Normally she'd throw it at her wounded opponent, hoping to hit them once more, but Lucien, he had been a decent demon, a decent warrior. Therefore, without warning, she twirled her tail and threw the spear into the chest of a laughing spectator demon, knocking him down, blood pouring forth from his body.
The crows cried in happiness, knowing the demon wouldn't recover, and so they waited for it to die before they had their fill. Of course at this display all the other demons silenced instantly, not one wanting to face the same fate.
When Scarlet was satisfied with the noise level she responded to Lucien, "There you go, you can get it yourself I'm sure" she finished before she turned her back to him and returning to sais to her side. She looked at the demons who were looking at her, daring them to touch that spear, and their lives would be hers as well. None moved.
She was about to walk away when she felt the trickle of blood from her side travel down her leg. Looking at her back and her ripped garment she smiled and turned her attention to Lucien, "You owe me a new dress" she stated calmly.

Freya stood looking out into the dark velvet sky that had fallen over Asgard, the stars twinkling as if in her very presence. She let the night soak into her skin as her golden necklace sparkled in the night, reflecting just enough light from the moon to be seen all the way to Midgard. She breathed in deeply and looked around, it was very silent and everything was still. Most gods and goddesses just about to turn in from a long day. She walked over to her swine, Hildisvini, and sat gracefully on his back. She pulled her gown slightly upward revealing her ankles and stopping her dress from getting wet from the dew that still lay on the grass from the morning. Hildisvini snorted loudly, but with somewhat of grace, and trudged onward to the great plain of Idavoll. She released her hair from a golden ribbon and let it wave in the gentle cool night breeze of Asgard. She looked forward to see a few gods gathered in the center of Idavoll, she continued on towards them. She hoped to see what the commotion was about, or lack there of. She approached them smiling as they welcomed her into their circle.
