Well, that was a real eye opener... such compelling arguments and well research opinions... razz I'm just bored and pointless posts irk me.

I might be vastly overgeneralizing here, but I've been playing DoC over again for the fourth or fifth time -and while nothing in particular seems to jump out- looking at Lucrecia's quotes and character as a whole, I got the impression that she didn't quite love him, but she might have, given more time maybe. Or the happy "accidental" death of Hojo. 4laugh
I might just be going off intuition as I'm wont to do, but I think Lucrecia realized what could have been, and it broke her.
Lucrecia "I've made too many mistakes."
I don't think she loved him yet though. Just something about the way she acted when he was shot. It was more about what happened to his father than about him. I suppose I think the reaction to Vincent's impending demise would have been a little stronger had she loved him in that way. But that's just me.
She also seemed a little, how shall we say, unconcerned during her scene in FF VII. Like she figured she'd saved him, so why worry about it? He'd be fine. But I suppose she was a little more concerned at the moment about her son, so who knows.

Kairi_12 But...wasn't Lucrecia Vincent's mom? Isn't that what they said in the game? No! Lucrecia is Sephiroth's birth mother. (Jenova is Sephiroth's mother by proxy.)

Uhhh im not sure all I know is that you don't yell at someone if you love them, and she yells at him when he tries to warn her about the danger.

So, the fact that she tried to bring him back to life, apologized to him countless times, and talked to him when he was lonely means nothing? :/

Really? I think that it does. She was truly sincere, and whose opinion matters most here? Vincents, of course. I think Vincent is extremely grateful that Lucrecia apologized to him and all of the other things she did for him. Like, I don't... preserving his body and trying to bring him back to life again? rolleyes You don't do that for just any-one. She claimed Vincent was not an experiment. She worked so hard to make him live again. She truly cared for him, and he cared for her too. It's obvious.

Hmmm good argument .BUt I really don't care about their relationship so I don't pay any attention to them. So you are probably right 4laugh
