I just love being on someones list of favorite writers. heart sweatdrop Being spoiled is an added bonus, I suppose. You're something else, man. For real.

Plot movement and character development have always been something I've strived to perfect. Being a roleplayer for more than a few years made that something like manditory, because at first I was horrible at explaining personalities... And then I studied psychiatry for a little while and now I'm not so bad.
I had to do more research when I started writing this, though, for Aniaka and Dei, because I really wanted to be able to take you deep into their psyche's as the story progresses, and really explain why they are who they are, and how its effecting the goings on.

Well, I'm really very good at making people and personalities, having them blend together or clash, or simply mesh, or...well, I think I've covered about every relationship in the book. It's just that I like to write about the little things more than the big things, sometimes. Except for politics. I LOVE writing about politics.

Ah, well I don't know about that. redface heart I just try my best to be kind to people, and show them how much I care. I'm not really anything special, just...more expressive than most.

Yeah, there aren't a lot of people who are like that, though, Lea. You're a good person. I respect that.

I love ranting about politics... Have you checked out the second post in my Gaia journal? I go off on tangents like that all the time. I just don't always write them down.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 12, 2007 10:50 pm

It does my heart good to hear you say that, Tommy. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, I replied as well, telling you just how awesome it is to find another John Lenin fan on Gaia. (I read all my friends journals, even if I don't always comment.)

Love and Vale,

EDIT: I guess I didn't.... I actually agree with what you are saying, which is really rather amazing considering I find most rants poorly conducted and, well...ranty. Once again, you've proven beyond doubt that you know how to lend power to your words.
...And, well, yes. I do so everyday, and I don't really expect to live past thirty because I am so...vocal.

See, the thing with my rants is they are constructed more like speeches than rants. Especially when I write them down, because I can pull out the stuff that doesn't make sense.

Oh! Yes, that does make sense....

Mm.

I'm doing pretty good with getting more done on Maroque. I think this is going to be almost as long as Stephen King made The Stand... Or maybe I might end up turning the story into something like The Dark Tower. >.>

The Stand was amazing. If you can turn it into that, I would worship you.*

xd heart

If I can turn it into that, I'll buy myself enough ingredients to make myself every baked goodie I can think of and then some! <33

Yeah, I would too. Or, I'd have ice cream over peach cobbler. Yum.

P.S. Are you going to post more of Maroque ahead of schedule, since you've gotten so much finished, or are you still going to wait until August?

I'm still waiting to August. I want more than I have so far...

Ooh, I just love baking. I would make muffins, and cookies, and cakes, and sticky buns, and cinnamon rolls, and pizzelles, and jam-filled perogies, and cupcakes, and candy-bread... <33

I like experimenting with dishes. Like, just tonight, I added half cup of half-and-half, cinnamon, honey, and Splenda to a half cup of warm hazlenut coffee, and it was delicious.

A few days ago, I had zucchini bread slices--I swear it's like banana bread, but made with zucchini--with melted Olivio butter--for low fat and sugar content--with honey in it, and used it as a dippiing sauce. It was amazing. I really wish I had had some cinnamon, or a pinch of nutmeg, to spice it up a bit. It's best with the dip warm and the bread chilled. (I was watching Fruits Basket, and nearly died of happiness.)

I love fruit dishes too, and I've had something similar to what Gina made for young VelArian in my story. Take a cataloupe, skin it, halve it, scoop out the guts, and us the bare catalope as an edible dish for your fruit salad. Add whipped cream as desired (I like a lot). It's healthy, and fruity, what could be better? And, there's another half of a cataloupe to use, so you can have it with a special someone...or have seconds!

(I get my love of food from Mama, and my health sense from Dad, but the oddity and/or novelty of my dishes is all me! biggrin )

(Sorry if this is completely irrelevant!)

I don't care it's irrelevant. I love chatting.

I love cooking and making food and baking... I've been doing it since I was little. I personally love to make interesting muffins. <33 Banana-Blueberry with chopped hazel nuts and almonds is amazing... And when you add vanilla extract and, of course, grated chocolate, it just makes them way better.

Oh, sounds yummy!

Like I said, I get my love of cooking from mom. She always had somthing cooking in the house, from lasagnas to brownies, to banana bread and cookies and pancakes. She cooked even more before I was born--I'm sure she could have gone far in the culinary field.

Kyonsei

When Anianka and the newcomer, Dei, had vanished for the night Kyonsei left the clearing. She was going to do her own things, Monique be damned, and so be her pets. But she had help, of course. It wasn’t her against the world, Gods dammit, or she’d hide in a cave for eternity. No.

Ayrei was a winged creature modelled after Anubis, the Egyptian God of Embalming and protection of the soul immortal - head of a jackal, body of a man. He was also Kyonsei’s only friend in all of Maroque, just as Italo was Anianka’s only friend in all of the world. Or, her only real friend, the only one she trusted.

Ayrei was older than Kyonsei by far. He had taken her in when she’d died, been her guide, her teacher for the last four hundred years. And he was shadowing them now, so she went to him.

“Do you think she can, or should I kill her now?” she asked, not caring that it was a rude way to begin a conversation.

“Kyonsei, who’s ever wanted to get to the lake for no justifiable reason? She’s our best bet.”

“I’m not sure of her.” she replied. “I think she’s insane.”

“Then she’s more likely to really try, no?”

“I’m going to trust you,” she replied, “but if you’re wrong, I’m going to be so angry...”

“Pray I’m not, then.” he said. “Best bet.”

He smiled at her just then, his canine teeth sparkling in the bluish moonlight. He was sitting cross legged so that she wouldn’t have to crane her neck up to see him; Ayrei was six feet tall. He opened his arms and she went to him. He kissed her hair, holding her gently in his lap.

She didn’t like Anianka, but if Ayrei thought she could best Monique, well, she’d keep on it as long as she felt she was needed. Or until she was bid leave of the task. After all, there was only so much she could do for Anianka before she was useless.

“You might be able to teach her a few things, too.” Ayrei said, breaking her chain of thought. “Who knows?”
