Stevo the Human Oy! I'm planning to buy my sisters weapons for that now. O_O Don't buy her weapons unless you also intend to make sure she knows how to use them. There are few things more dangerous than pulling a gun on an attacker if you don't know how to use it/don't have the guts to--all that results in is a better-armed attacker.

people there are different ways to get people to let go of you take three fingers and ram them into the area above the upper abs and chest bone thats a free shot at the large intestine/stomache area, you could hit them in the testicles any way you can bite them if you have too, take a finger and poke them in the eye and keep digging until they let go and then run! they will be hurting for aquite a while call for help while all of this happens and sombody is sure to help you or at least call the cops, i think the best way to prevent attackers is to have a big boyfriend *hint hint ladies*

Yup. Sexual abuse from relatives or within a circle of friends is more common than random attacks. I mean, think about it, Date rapes and wives chopping up genitalia are more common, reported more often and make more sense than strangers attacking and random women aiming butcher's knives at the groin.

I've noticed that most female murder/dismemberment cases involve "retaliative" violence, rather than "instagative" violence. Which, in layman's terms, means that women tend to be socialized to lash out when cornered or abused after a long time, while males are socialized to lash out before there is even a conflict. Both of which are tied intimately to what men and women feel makes them a "true" man or woman.

I have absolutely no data on the matter, but given the overal amount of extreme violence directed by men at men, verses the amount of extreme violence directed by women at men, I wouldn't be too surprised if a man's balls were at more risk from a stranger than his wife. As far as I know, though, in the most famous case of this occuring, the Lorena Bobbit affair, John Bobbit had been physically abusive towards his wife prior to the incident--it is my understanding that in most cases of female-to-male violence, the female is responding to violence initiated by the male.

look its simple some men are desprate for sex because they either 1 have never been with a girl or guy yes there are gay guys(i'm not one of them) and society makes it look like sex is everything. like if you are not getting p***y you are one thats the message guys get and girls they rape to society tells them to be sluts and super skinny. so they can alsh out and rape people to when thaey are stressed. 2 they like you they can't have you so they get it forcibly 3 they are insane and like to see pain 4 you hurt them so they hurt you back. there are so many reasons you get raped here are some ways to protect yourself. punch in nose-that will daze them for a couple seconds and you may have enough time to get away. poke in eye-poke your finger into their eye. that is extremly painful and they will stop until you let go so use this to your advantage punch in throat- this will definatly incapicitate them if you hit them hard enough use three fingers and poke between the brest bone and abdominals-i just explained it that is a free shotat their large intestine. shot to the cojones(p***s in spanish)-hit them i the nuts bite them if you have to shot to the v****a-take three fingers and jam them in and seperate thats hurts a female like HELL. same goes for the a** to. thats all i can think of right now please feel free to contact me if you don't understand anything i said. Great thread, Dragon Ladysupreme. Also, I'm very sorry to hear about your predicament, Oni-Angel, but at least you made it out safely.
Definitely, it's always good to walk confidently. Obviously this won't always save you, but I've learned it'll chase off a good amount of people. Keeping an optimistic point of view that you're strong and can overcome any foe is something an attacker will subconsciously pick up on.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but some places or organizations will offer rape prevention classes you can take. I recommend this because they're usually pretty thorough.
Also, I think it's important that men don't assume they can't be victims of rape. In the [unwilling] child prostitution ring, 51% of the [unwilling] prostitutes are young boys. A male friend of mine was raped on several occasions, so men should be cautious as well.
Honestly though, I never drink a lot at big parties, at least not enough to get drunk or be unable fight someone off of me. I always go with multiple friends to big parties and stay by them. However, I never get drunk unless I'm with someone I trust and usually in the comfort of my own home or very close to it. Obviously, you should NEVER accept opened or suspicious drinks from someone you don't know very well. Unless they're your best bud or some you're very close with, I wouldn't risk it. Someone I know was raped this way by a married man while her fiance was right outside. You've got to be careful all the time!
Dwarfshorty, I don't completely agree with your previous statement about the reasons men rape women. Most of time, I think the issue is control. If a guy is messed up enough to force pain and trauma on another person for brief sexual satisfaction, he has issues, period. The reasons you mentioned may contribute, but I believe the true reasons are psychological on the male's part. I'd say a major personality disorder at the least.
Well that's my two cents. I hope I was able to add something.

I agree that it is important to tell others.
A friend of mine was violently sexually abused by a close family friend ,and
she was reluctant to tell anyone until she learned that he was molesting another child. He had other children in his home. She had thought that she was the only one. She agreed to report him, and got great therapy.
My mother was also sexually abused as a child. When she became old enough to defend herself, she did so. She regrets not turning him in for what he did to her and her sisters. It makes me so sad.
I can not feel pity for rapists. I try to have compassion for all, but I simply do not feel compelled to put myself in their shoes. The victim's pain outweighs theirs, in my opinion.
