I'll be posting again later to make a new list for the lotto of September so the members who didn't win have another chance. Thank you! PS: If you don't know who the winner is, you can check out my second post on page one. I'll be posting the user name of the winner there.

Well my first name was hunter in the night.... but since this avitar was made to be Vampire Hunter D I had to work on changing it..... you wouldn't believe how many names I tried before I found one unique and within my means. -__-;;
Anyways Call me D, is in fact a direct quote from the novels. I forget which one.... I think it comes in somewhere in each of them. Although the novels are most likely more science fiction, I believe they are also in the genera of Fantasy as well. My first point (I have several... i hope you don't mind. I can be a little too opinionated at times), is D himself. The son of a human woman and the vampire (spoiler so it will be white) Dracula himself, his mere existence as a half breed dhampir (dampeal, or what have you) is far fetched. Since Vampires are the flight of fantasy, D surely is too. In addition, there are the many different creatures within the novels. To name a few the mutants, lesser dragons (from what I can tell are just smaller flightless versions of normal ones), and the countenance carbuncle that lives in D's (stomach) and manifests in his left hand. This creature, which I will refer to as 'Lefty' henceforth, is one of particular interest. Such a creature he is that he can bring D back from the dead by using the power of the four elements: earth, wind, fire, and water. However, Lefty has shown that he can work with just two elements. Moreover, he can bridge dimensions together allowing D to pass through in a pinch. I'm afraid to say more... I've probably spoiled enough already, so I'll talk about the plot!!!! These novels have the classic 'damsel in distress' plot. Each of them has some broad that just can't handle killing a vampire on her own for fear of some sort of horrid outcome, that or she's being returned from a vampire's personal human slave stock. Personally I hope the writer puts in a few guys that need help as well, it's getting monotonous, and i think it would be hilarious.
so yeah those are my reasons... xd hope i didn't bore anyone, or give away too much. ((shameless 'read the book' pitch here)).

Thanx for sharing! Since I agree that your name is fantasy related, I added it to the list. I hope I can come back on the 27th & 28th to post a winner (randomly of course). Oh and, you didn't bore me. It was a real good post, not too short, not too long. Well done! My information on the whole "Vampire hunter D" show was very poor so I'm glad you posted that much info about it.

Widigo was a typo of Windigo back at Neopets ages ago. I liked it and it stuck. Widigo later became the name of one of my older story characters, but he's long gone, he was one of the greatest that formed the Desecrators and was imprisoned by them when they turned not so nice, now his name only comes up in reference to his son who's a pirate, or something he had a hand in like the building of the Pyramids, or the sinking of Atlantis. However there are times when discussing Homo Avians and even one of my characters Bluebird the Assassin is a direct descendant of his time in Egypt. He may have been a nobleman, but he was also a bit of a rule breaker. He's also a pseudonym for a lot of my work because his immortal status makes his a perfect scribe.

Cool! Well, since I don't have a lot of time online I'll be accepting your name and that would do it for this month. I'll be coming back tomorrow to randomly post a number (as stated on the list post above). BTW, if you are a new member, or if your user name is not on the list yet, you can always post next month if you want to be entered on that list.

Ok, since Gaia has restored the random number function, I'm back to post the winner of last month's lotto. Good luck to each of you! I actually wanted to post this yesterday but Gaia wouldn't let me post at all! Go figure... Anywho, the winner won't be able to participate in next month's lotto as usual. I've been thinking that, the last two winners could participate for an entry fee but, I'm not sure what kind of entry fee it should be or how expensive to make it so that it's fair for everyone. Ideas anyone?

My nick isn't medieval or Renaissance, alas... JastaElf is German military shorthand for Jagdstaffel Elf, Fighter Squadron Eleven--the unit designation of the WW1 fighter unit led by the famous Red Baron, Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen. Jagdstaffel was always shortened to Jasta (pronounced YASSS-tah) in the official communiques and newspapers.
On the fantasy side, I have used this as my nom de plume at several sites to write mostly LOTR fanfic. smile That's about as far a stretch as I can make. Oh, and of course it has the word "Elf" in it... LOL!
Jasta, Who would also like to see a Sindarin thread for discussion! I like it so much better than Quenya... which I also like...

Nice! I don't see why yer name shouldn't be entered in the lotto. I mean, it combines reality and fantasy in a cool way. Let's see if anyone else wants their name added before the deadline. Can't wait to see who wins this month's prize. mrgreen
