Really? eek The first couple chapters are rather boring and lame, but it gets better after that.

If that is the case, I'll take another look at the first book if I see it in a second hand shop, but I won't go out and buy it full price. Maybe after page 20 it'll redeem itself. We'll see so should I'll see it, I'll go unto the breach again...

Usually an average book takes only a couple of days for me to finish, but over the past couple of months I spend a week reading books between 300 and 400 pages in length. I blame the Internet... and university. xd

A lot of months this year I've been reading anywhere between six to eight books each month so maybe I've just been needing a break or something.

It's harder to remember details if I read fast so I tend to like reading slowly. I also have an over active mind and I tend to start thinking of other things as I read. That's why right now it's taking me forever to read The Witching Hour, it really doesn't grab my attention well enough. It's still a good book though.

The longest it has EVER taken me to read a book is 1 week. This is because it was for school and I didn't really like it all that much.

Normally I devour 1000-1300 page books ( or just four books in a day, adding up to that amount of pages) in a nice 9 hour chunk ( yes, I do spend all day reading. No stopping for eating or bathroom, although I don't do this often.), however, if I take stops to use the bathroom, eat, check gaia, help my mother with chores, 1000-1300 page books take two days, on average.

So, the little 300 page books I devour in an hour or two, normally. Yeppers. I read fast.

But, then again, when I read, I tend to enter the book kinda. Like, when I am reading a new book, if a person talks to me, I won't hear them, because I am reading.

*Cough* Why does it suddenly seem like I am bragging? I feel bad... XDDD
(Hehheehe, and I can do comprehension tests on these books. =D )

What the longest time it has taken you to read a book? Why did it take you that long? For me I've been reading Stephen Kings IT since my Freshman year. I'm a Junior now. Normally it, at the very most, only takes me a couple of weeks to finish a book. But for some reason I always get side tracked while I'm reading IT. I'll become interested in another book and stop reading IT for a while. I've done it three times. The last time I only started reading it again because the movie was on ABC family. I'm getting close to finishing it.

Haha, that's the same with me! I'm in college now, and I first picked up ITin my sophomore year of high school. Currently, I'm on page...74 sweatdrop . It's not that it's a bad book, I just don't know what it is that makes me neglect reading it.

Wow, and I thought I was bad. I've just picked it up again and now I'm on page *goes to check book* 703. My New Year's Resolution is to finally finish IT.

I both like really taking my time with books and have a tendency to take breaks in the middle of books and forget about then...

I've found books that I've started reading years ago but forgot about <.<;

I do that too. I'm always reading more than one book at a time. Like right now i'm reading about 5 books. I finish the most interesting ones first and then finish the rest eventually.

A lot of times i'll start a book and then start another one and forget about the first one until i have nothing left to read and then read that.

Yay, I'm not alone! Mostly I start on one book then pick up a few others and get sidetracked on all of them then get my act together and finish them all in a completely diferent order that I started them in.
