Vaati blinked- what a pleasant surprise! He had spotted an underwater cave in the crevice between a cluster of rocks at the bottom. For fear that it might be awhile until he could get a decent breath again, the odd Ulaya zipped up to the surface, in haled deeply and trailed back down towards the cave's small mouth.
He glanced behind him to be sure that FrostBite was nearby, for he would hate for something to happen to her on his account. When he could make out her figure approaching, he wriggled into the small space and into the cave, figuring that his glow would be bright enough to follow.

FrostBite finally caught up to Vaati. When she did she she realized he was crawling into the crevice she figured she might as well come along. She quickly went to the top for one more inhale then she dove down and squeezed through the mouth of the cave. She looked around and saw his glow then she quickly swam after him.

The innards of the cave were quite a sight indeed. Small shards of minerals were wedged in the walls, which were soft with moss and underwater plants. It wasn't too long before Vaati had found an air pocket a fair distance into the cave- he only hoped that FrostBite had plenty of air. He gasped for breath when he reached the top and immediately turned around, awaiting her resurface.

FrostBite stoped when she entered and gazed at the inside of the cave for a minute or so, it was very beautiful. She absorbed its image as much as she could and when she saw Vaati's glow and she started to swim up. She began to realize she was running out of air as she swam so she stroke harder but it wasnt helping much.
Man, I even took an extra breath! Reaching the top seemed like forever. I really wish I hadnt taken so long looking around... She hopped she would make it in time before she ran out of breath.

Vaati was beginning to feel a bit nervous about how long FrostBite was taking to reach the air pocket, and looked around more frantically for her figure. It was ridiculously dark in the cave though, aside from the shimmering light fragments reflecting off of the mineral shards, making it seem as though they were glowing.
"FrostBite--?"
He hopped up onto the ledge where the water stopped and peered down into the water, flustered and worried. If he didn't see her soon, he was going to go in after her.

FrostBite squinted, she saw Vaati's glow. It shouldnt be too far now... I hope... FrostBite stopped for a moment to rest, she closed her eyes breifly then started to swim again. Wow, that didnt help at all... Frostbite's lungs couldnt take it any more, she was not a water ulaya. She tried to breath, despite being in water, and ended up gulping some of the water. Which just ended up having her sink down farther.

Vaati, in a panic, practically fell into the water. Still surprised by his own clumsiness, he floated in the water for a moment before his eyes began to dart around, searching for the Ulaya fae's small figure.
Once he had found her, sinking down and bubbles trailing up to the surface, he jet'd down to the bottom of the cave so that he was under her, and waited a moment until he could feel her stomach on his back. At that point, he quickly began to swipe at the water, climbing at a moderate pace to the surface due to the extra weight.
When he finally reached the surface he felt as if he would cry, and pushed FrostBite gently on to the soft ledge. Hopping up to the ledge himself, he rolled her over on to her back, very gently.
"FrostBite? FrostBite--!"

FrostBite opened her eyes and realized she was on land again... or some thing around that. She coughed up some water she had accidently swallowed and she got up. "I'm fine, thanks..." though she was a tad dizzy. "That was a very 'charming' moment for me," she said, embarressed.

Vaati sighed a deep sigh of relief, but he could feel that his legs were all shaking and that his heart was racing.
"I-I'm sorry.."
He stared at the soft, mossy ground, watching droplets of water tumble from his soaked fur. Due to his mood, his glow even had diminished some, but was still apparent.
"We can... rest for awhile... Are you sure you're alright?"

"Its not your fault, I just took to much of my time looking around! And I'm sure I'm fine, but we could rest," she smiled. She soon noticed his glow had weakened, she wondered why but decided it might be best not to ask why.

Vaati sighed, unconvinced that he was to blame, but decided that if she wasn't bothered by it then he would put it behind him. He layed down across the moss with his front paws crossed next to her, soaked and a bit cold.
He wondered what was further along in the cave- maybe there was a warmer place, or a dryer area further in. His eyes wandered up to the mineral shards wedged in the walls. Slowly his glow increased to its normal potency, particularly when his eyes happened to roam over to FrostBite.

FrostBite layed down as well and looked at the inside of the cave again, it was still beautiful. Her eyes wandered over to Vaati and she smiled, happy that his glow was coming back. She realized he was looking at her so she quickly adverted her eyes and blushed. Ignoring the fact she was starting to freeze she closed her eyes and tried to rest some.

Vaati cleared his throat awkwardly a little while after FrostBite had closed her eyes.
"Maybe we should move on a little- it might be warmer further in."
He wanted to rest as well, but he assumed that she just as much as he was beginning to feel the effects of the cold. The last thing he needed was for her to catch a cold on his behalf. Though he could feel the weight of fatigue on his shoulders, he stood and walked over to FrostBite, giving her a gentle nudge on her neck.
"I'm sorry, I know you must be tired, but it's so cold here..."

FrostBite nodded, "alright," she yawned," there could be a warmer spot..." She got up and looked around. "Over there?" She pointed with her paw randomly to a place farther from the water. She put her paw down and waited for his answer. She yawned again, it was hard staying awake when half asleep.

Vaati smiled lightly at her as she yawned- perhaps out of fatigue, maybe she was just sleepy, or even both. He turned back around to face her and knelt down, tugging one of her paws over him and wriggling under her so that he could carry her the rest of the way. He assumed that since she was so tired, there would be little effort to stop him. Once that task was complete, he began to move further into the cave with slow steps.
