That would be either The Adventures of The Little Prince or Unico in the Island of Magic. The first anime I can ever recall watching were those when they aired on Nickelodeon. The Unico movie totally made me cry, I'd never seen a cartoon with a sad ending before. If anyone can get a hold of the old Unico movies, I recommend them. 3nodding

yup, mine was Sailor Moon too. heart I need to buy the complete series so I can sit back and watch it in complete whole-ness. :3 ooh and cardcaptor sakura, booooo/hissss at KidsWB or w/e they SO ruined that series. scream scream
i also watched pokemon and my friend was convinced that pokemon was NOT anime. it pissed me off. gonk
now i watch soooo much anime i can't even type them all out! blaugh

Mine was Sailor Moon, though back then I didn't know it was an anime, or that anime even existed, but I really loved it. Then, when I really got interested in anime as it really was, anime, my first one was Naruto, a couple of years ago!!! And it's awesome!!!

My parents have always hated anime. D: They're like, anime Nazi's or something. So when I was little I was lucky to catch an episode of Pokeman or Sailor Moon. My freind got me hooked on anime with Inuyasha, from there I went to FMA and Naruto. Then there was s-CRY-ed, Samurai Champloo, Chobits, Trigun (my favorite besides Naruto and Bleach), Card Captor Sakura, The Miyazaki movies... and more I can't remember.
I have watched all of those series in secret over the computer or in the middle of the night on Adult Swim. My parents never knew.
Right now I'm working on Bleach and watching Naruto shipuuden when it comes on.

BTW, Miyazaki movies suck...there's always one character that looks ugly as sin... this isn't the place to put-down and insult genres you do not like. the topic asks, "what was your first anime?" not, "which animes/ genres do you think suck?" please remember to stay on topic. and on that note, to tell the truth, i think sailor moon was my first one too. i think i remember watching it by accident when my sister was watching it...

Pokemon only became a kid's show because the American censors edited out all the interesting bits, like James's inflatable boobs and the fact that Gary was gay.
