Janika was excited. Yes! Some company!
PostPosted: Sat Jun 09, 2007 2:21 pm

((OOC: Oh my God. It's turning a very disturbing shade of purple-blue.))

Tekira slowed her walk down enough so that the other girl could catch up with her if she wanted to.
She really wouldn't mind some company on this adventure of hers.

Xaron the destroyer
"I live here."Zepher said.

(Cursed writers block)

((Geh, I hate that. Generally I'll steal ideas from my fave books razz ))

Faeandra raised her eyebrows in suprise. "You live here? Really? Not many people live up here. Are you with the Black Marauders?"

"No, it seems not many other people want to stick around me."Zepher said, reaching up to his head, and softly tapping his skull, the slight thud sounding inside.

Janika was having trouble deciding who to join for the journey. hmm, I'll choose the one with no one to talk to. She probably would like some company. I mean, no one wants to be alone right? At least I don't She ran up to Tekira. "Hey! I'm Janika!"

(it's some name I made up.)

((Whee, I'm finally back and ready to start. I have an idea, too... We'll actually find out WHY my character's family is so noble and rich and important.

I didn't describe the gitacr very well. Just imagine it as a Rheiard from Tales of Symphonia. And I think I spelled that wrong... ><))

Aer glanced back at his home island of Newgate only once as he sailed off into the blue on his stolen gitacr. "Good riddance," he muttered under his breath. He could imagine the look on his parents' faces when they realized he was gone. He snorted when he realized that they would probably be more troubled by the loss of the gitacr.

Well, perhaps it was unfair to say that he had stolen the thing. After all, it was owned by his family. In fact, Aer's own uncle, Tuck, had invented the thing only a year or so ago. It was just a convenient coincidence that Aer had chosen this time to make his escape from home.

The gitacr hummed softly beneath him. He straddled it like a horse, settling in comfortably into the saddle-like groove and fitting his feet into the stirrups on either side. He didn't bother holding onto the stiff handlebars which would let him steer the thing; he didn't care where he went, so long as it was away.

But where would he go? He pondered that question for a while. He had never left Newgate before, so he didn't know of any place where he might be readily welcomed. With a sigh, he wracked his brain for the location of the only city of which he knew, Hodectes, a large port town where both Calan and Gortul elves gathered. Maybe he'd be able to hook up with some adventurers there, and set out on an adventure. Maybe. That, or...

Perhaps he could search for his Hearrte? He shook his head. No, he'd probably die trying. He was a noble, a magician, not a bloody knight. He would go to Hodectes, and that was that.

If only he could find the place. He sighed and leaned forward onto the gitacr tiredly. As he sailed through the sky, his gitacr sucking magical power out of the very air around it to propel itself forward, the craft left a gleaming golden trail in the air behind him.

Faeandra colored faintly, perhaps he thought her comment rude?
"I see...Do you live nearby? Or are you traveling currently? Mayhaps you are headed my way."

"I don't live anywhere, I can't stay to long in one place."Zepher said, not mentioning his small shelter with the countless skeletons of his previous victims.

Tekira turned to smile at the other girl. "Hi. I'm Tekira. Where are you headed?" she asked lightly.

((OOC: It's my birthday! That makes me happy.))

((I'm pretty sure you guys have put everyone on the surface at the moment, so I'm just going to throw my guy in with a nice big boom!))

The strange humming in the air had been growing louder for a few minutes, but only now did it become really audible. As Tekira turned to face Janika, she caught a glimpse of a sleeping man on a strange, distant flying craft heading straight for them, just before it hit the ground. It collided with the earth at a very small angle, so that it kept going and sort of skipped awkwardly across the land toward the party of adventurers, throwing plumes of dirt high into the sky. There were a series of loud shouts from the machine as Aer d'Mors awoke suddenly and endeavored to stop the craft. Finally, it came to an unglamourous halt, barely ten yards away from the party. Aer sat atop it as the dirt settled, looking very dishevelled and embarassed. A few seconds later, as he tried to dismount the gitacr, he tumbled off unceremoniously and sat in the dirt, once more looking very dishevelled, though possibly a bit more embarassed. He got to his feet, swayed a bit, stared at the derelict flying craft, looked at the party that he had almost killed in his sleep, literally, and smiled weakly. "Sorry," he called to them.

((That's the best intro ever... Ahhhmigosh, I love that post. I'm sorry, that's just hilarious...))

(( Nice intro xd Visualizing it makes me laugh))

Faeandra heard a series of loud noises coming from not too far off, but managed not to run off towards them, so as not to be rude to Zepher.
"I see," She glanced at the sky, "Well, time is passing, and I must be going. You are free to come along, if you are headed towards the Black Dunes."

((Methinks I shall introduce my Calan elf now))

Avoron Gulv finished shoving the last of his books into his already over-stuffed travel bag. Glancing around Nareat Island's busy surface-to-island ports, he grabbed the small, budget transporter, mostly a large dish with railings, and headed for the edge of the island.
A nice-looking security guard was waving him forward to the nearest open port. He flashed her a brilliant white smile. She smiled back as he came up next to her, and shoved him into the port forcefully.
He sighed and placed his railed dish on the ground and stood on it, bracing himself. The guard/ port operator gave him a cheerful wave and pulled a large lever. The floor beneath him disappeared, causing the dish beneath him to engage hovering mode. The lovely guard slowly was lost from sight as he floated down neatly to the surface.

The weather magicians predicted a windy yet sunny day, so most Calan elves were heading down for some sight-seeing in the only above-ground Gortul city. As for himself, he was heading out on an adventure. Forget book-keeping for a living. He wanted something exciting. He wanted to be adventurous, daring, dangerous. Shifting his sword and bag to a more comfortable holding position, he noticed that the light wind was picking up slightly.
He glanced down worriedly at the city below. It was close, maybe a few hundred feet. He'd be down in no-time. Just as he was relaxing, the wind picked up viciously, blowing him completely off course. He grabbed onto the railing for dear life as the wind buffeted him to and fro, almost flipping him upside down at one point. Soon he was completely out of site of the city, and entirely without bearings. The wind began to die, and he loosened his death grip to steady himself on the dish. Hover mode was still engaged at least, though soon to fail, he was sure. Panicking mildly, he tried to figure out what to do as he came to rest in the middle of nowhere.

((Kinda long sweatdrop Sorry))

"Hi." Tekira walked over and greeted the other newcomer, noticing that he looked really embarrassed. "It's not really a big deal. No one's dead."
She examined the thing he had come in. "What's this?" she asked curiously.

((OOC: Silver Heart, where's your Calan elf?))

((He's in the general area of pretty much everybody. Little bit northeast of Faeandra and Zepher, little bit southwest of everybody else, by my reckoning))

Janika replied to Tekira "Nowhere really. Just anywhere." She turned to the man. "Hi there!"
