Ugh, he kept switching on her! Sometimes she loved what he said, and other times she hated it! But, once again, she enjoyed his compliment, since finally he seemed to be understanding the truth to her. "Well thank you." She said, flicking her tail up mockingly. "I am aware of what I am, and I have been trying to prove that too you this entire time, silly stallion."

Man she just hated males. Such a pain, she hated dealing with them, and hated their superiority complex that they presented. "Thank goodness I am right in your eyes, then. You keep boasting as if you are so important." She still had no idea who he was, or what he did, and she just kept herself huffed and fiery for anything he wished to throw at her.

If she thought him changeable, she was proving herself equally so in his eyes. Her emotions could be triggere or undone with a word or simple sentence. It was not, perhaps, his usual fare, but it provided ample amusement, nonetheless. She was a strange little thing.

Talk of his perceived, self-perceived or otherwise, importance, brought his chin up haughtily. He held himself in high regard, it was true, he had his own peppering of pride.
"I boast what I know. I know I am important."
Indeed, he enjoyed the idea that he would be a whispered name given time or opportunity.

"Care to expand on this.. importance? Because there is self importance, and there is how others view you, you know." She curved her lip and grinned, wondering if it was just insanity that was making the stallion so boastful.

So far her conversation with him had been nothing but confusing. She had been talking to him for awhile, and she noticed the sky was becoming daker, and night was falling in. Before she ran into him she was in a horrible mood, but now she was more confused then anything! "Wouldn't one as yourself have something IMPORTANT to do on this fine night." She snorted, "Why waste your time with a runt like me?" Again she gave him a toothy grin, glowing her eyes at him widely.

Had no one told the child that curiosity killed the cat? There was always the possibility of unfolding a story that was, given her ways, likely to impress, but there seemed little enjoyment in merely telling a story where one could hint, toy with the truth, and in the process wind the little piece of Vanity into confusion and anger.
Lucifer shook his mane once more, the gold threading jangling against the muscles in his neck.

"I have done deeds of importance. And you, my dear little fool, are part of my life's work. My deeds now involve the gnats hereabouts."
He did not smile, nor laugh at these words, though a certain satisfaction, a certain grim glee was to be found in corrupting the hearts and minds of the fools he lived amongst now.

How was she connected to him? "That doesn't make any sense, how am I a part of your work?" She looked at him, frustrated by his wording. "What makes you think I declare you special enough to be a part of my life? Hmm?" A bit abnoxious, Loveless was trying to work whatever Lucifer was talking about without fuming all over again.

"It just doesn't make sense. Or, you don't make sense, pretty much!" She snorted at him and rolled her eyes, only to then kick at the ground. She wished she could just attack him or something, but that would be a stupid move. This was so frustrating!!

"So shortsighted, little Loveless? Do you have no view of how the small can feed into the larger scale? No idea how the work of a moment can taint for a lifetime?"

He was not, perhaps, making sense to the child. It played more to his amusement and her aggrivation not to. And from his life Lucifer had learned one thing, if nothing else- emotions, the stronger the better, were the key to ruining the soul. They were like a rot, the more you felt, and the more easily it was exploited, the faster the core of a soul became exposed to the sins, the more anger or jealousy or some other of his most beloved toys ate away.
And Loveless was a bundle of the things.

Again she snorted, and glared at him tremendously. "I will impact others how I wish, but I will not allow you to be involved, just as you are excluding me from your own ways." There was no way she would trust a stallion, no way in hell! No matter how much his words made sense, she would not fall for his purposes!

"I don't know where else to take this conversation, oh wise one," She said, with a snide twist, "I am getting sick of your pompous speech!" It seemed Loveless was going over the edge a bit, but it was hard for her to admit that another's words were correct. Taking in a deep breath, she realised the hot air inside of her, and felt her face deflush from its warm glow. "You piss me off." She said, bluntly, as if childishly.

Loveless' glare Lucifer observed, even responded to out of nature. It was a strange juxtaposition showing on his features, eyes firey with reflected anger, mouth still twisted in that grin he wore like a well-worn bridle. He was all smooth corners, a performance wrapped around a purpose.

Her words proved something of his toying hitting home, an anger he had sparked, or at least helped on, for what good was one born to evil without a latent wrath in their blood?

"If you tire of me, little one, leave."

With one last dark grin, she straightened her shoulders out and looked at him carefully. "Yes, I am done, as are you." With a obvious snicker, she eyed the amazing stallion one last time.

"I hope to see you again, but I must think about many of the things you said here first. Let us meet again, Lucifer." And with that, she gave one last look at him, and she ran off to find her father. She really was exhausted, but she would never tell him that.

Watching her retreat, Lucifer snickered to himself for a moment before allowing his grin to fade away, and his face to slip into a mask of idle contemplation.

Yes, he'd probably see the child again, but for now, it was time to find some strange faces with familiar sports.
