"I--" he began angrilly, shoulders raising for a moment. Then he sighed slowly, titlting his head back for a moment as his shoulders lowered before he began again, more calmly this time. "I've tried that, but the damn pixies keep me here. And Mum really does want me to fall in love at... well, when I... you know, wake-up. She really wanted a daughter like that... no clue why, though." Again, he sighed, running a pale, perfectly refined hand through his equally perfect hair.

"Anyway, the stairs are enchanted... so I can't really get out by myself. They just go on forever until I fall asleep... and then I wake up in bed with a--" He flushed, his face now a bright red, his dark eyes darting away from the other's. "...you know... a... suitor..." he mumbled half-heartedly.

Indi didn't see any one or any thing to oppose him coming from the tower. He sighed and sat down on the nearest rock. He started to just fiddle with a few old charms he had actually learned. A simple hand gesure and a flash of lavender light shot towards the ground. A small thicket of thorny vines quickly grew from the spot it hit and produced a small chalice of clear water.

Indi picked up the chalice full of water and set it on the ground in front of him and performed a new simple hand gesture. the water rose from the chalice and shaped itself into a ring, then froze into that shape before falling to the ground.

Indi stood up and after a few practice steps, he made one of the few attempts he'd ever made at flying with his pixie magic. He was only able to get about 2 ft off the ground but he felt a great sense of accomplishment at it. After landing, he performed a rather complex set of hand gestures. He was attempting a disillusionment. A charm of disguise that would allow him to blend into the world around him. After a short chill passed over him, he chrmed the ring of ice on the ground to become a smooth disk of water that he used t check his success. His string of obsenities couldn't have been missed by any one in the woods when he saw his spells effect.

Indi was more than shocked to see his reflection in the disk of water. He hadn't performed the charm properly and had turned himself a bright pink. He was a deeper shade of than his mothers hair and eyes."Crap! I've gotta fix this before I get up there." he said to himself as he looked up to the top of the tower.

Nic stopped himself from making any sort of remark at how shallow the boy's parents sounded. No good would ever really come out of that so he kept his lips sealed until Aurora had finished. When the other began blushing, Nic had to turn his back to him. The Prince looked far too much like a girl, with or without the wig, and all that pouting and blushing made him more adorable than ever.

Not wanting to come off as rude, he made the turn look as if he were just trying to concentrate, with a hand on his chin. "Well, seeing as your still here, I guess no one has really tried to help you out," he said, rather to himself than to Aurora. "I won't jump to conclusions or anything, but if you wanted, I could try to get you out. I know you don't really like me or anything because I'm just another one of those 'suitors' you keep mentioning that you despise so much, but.. I couldn't just leave someone in a place where they're miserable."

"You're right... no one really ever tried to help me. They usually just... I dunno, foamed at the mouth or something when they found out I was a guy. But they all eventually just left me here, though some were more trouble that others...." he said rather blandly.

"Mmm... I'm not too sure if it'll work or not... here, let me ask." Finally, the prince stood up -- to reveal that he was... really short (well, shorter than most, at least). "Flora. Hey. Mims. Come out, alright?" The two adressed fairies peaked out from their various hiding places and alighted next to the prince. "Anyway this bloke can get me out?" Flora shrugged, and then glanced good-naturedly over at Nic and gave him a small wink over her shoulder.

"Maybe. Just try walking with him -- or maybe we should get him to carry you? That'd be fun," the girl replied, a bright smile on her peppy pink lips.

Mims sighed softly and ruffled the girl's hair. "That might work."

"--And you should dress as a princess, too, since that's who the curse is on," Flora added.

Aurora glared at her for a moment before he regained a relatively calm expression. "Erg... well... I suppose... if it'll help me get out... I'll... try..." he mumbled slowly, his cheeks quite flushed. "You--" he said, then turning towards Nic. "You'll help me, right? Please." There was rather a note of desperation in the boy's voice and his dark eyes were fixed intently on the other's. He really wanted to get out.

Indi had tried a various assortment of charms and spells to return himself to normal. Nothing had worked so far and he had already collected a small garden of random plants a few strange animals he didn't recognize including a Chinchila that for some reason liked his shoulder and a Ferret that kept climbing up one leg and jumpinig off only to do it again."Waahhh!" he started to whine because he couldn't undo his own charm. He didn't want his mother to see him like this so he call the only one who he though might be able to help."Auntie Floorraaaa!" he whined as loudly as he could muster."Little Indi needs you!" he whined as he fel to his knees and covered his face with his hands.

"Ehhhh?" Flora turned then, looking rather stunned. She waved a hand at the others, saying, "somthing just came up!! Aheh... you know? So bye!" And with that, she disapeared out the window in search of her little nephew. Once he finally was spotted, she alighted silently behind him only to conk him rather angrilly on the head. "I told you not to call me 'auntie,'" she said angrilly, her expression girlish and cute and menacing all at the same time. "Really! I'm your mother's younger sister, and such a title as 'auntie' does nothing for my youth!" she said. "I mean, you look older than I do... Even if it's only because you age normally... but you can't call someone who looks younger 'auntie'!! It's just... wrong!" she exclaimed.

It was then that she noticed his coloring - and the various other mislayed charms. "Ehhh...? What, you've gone pink now? How simply flattering. I didn't know you liked me that much," she teased brightly, showing a complete change in attitude.

"Well you know you're my favorite aunt..." he said as he wiped his slightly moist cheeks dry."i'm sorry, It's just a habit I guess. And the color was an accident. I was practicing a charm and I screwed up. I can't figure out how to undo it." he whimpered. He stood up and smacked the annoying rat-thing off of his houlder and the ferret of his hip and tried to get rid of his various mishaps, only managing the flowers."Why is it that I can create animals but I can't get rid of them." he mused to himself as his sobs subsided.

Nic didn't even want to get into the discussion of what he meant by 'some were more trouble than others'. With the appearance of the familiar fairies, he gaped. Had they been watching him the whole time? That means.. they saw him kiss Aurora. How embarassing.. And yet, how uncivil of them to be secretly watching! Not that he'd ever voice this opinion. Instead, he just contented himself to listening quietly.

Carry?! He had a hard enough time hauling his own butt up the tower. Clearly the boy was small, but it was still just added weight.. With a sigh, he mentally thanked the fairies for the idea of removing his armor.

Hearing the said 'You', he quickly said "Nic" as if to indicate that he did have a name afterall, but otherwise, didn't seem to mind how he was addressed. "Well, yes, of course. I'll try whatever I can. I mean, it'd be rude of me to have come all the way here and not try." Not to mention, he felt sorry for the boy.

"Because you have to remember the spell, stupid!" she said happily, clapping the other rather hard on the back before giving him an overly large hug from one side. "Ahhh... I'm so touched that you like me that much!!" she said blissfully, wiping an imaginary tear from her eye. "Righto, so..." she snapped her fingers and all the mishaps vanished in a moment.

"So, did you come here to visit me? ♥♥♥"

**

"Thank you, Nic," he said carefully, for the first time giving the other a radiant smile. And with that smile, it was obvious just how lovely a perfect princess could be -- for, despite being male, he was the perfect princess (in some aspects, anyway).

"Right, I'll get working on that stairs, then..." Mims said decisively. "We always make them shorter for the way down -- the guys are tired enough as it is... but since you'll be carrying his majesty, you'll need a really small flight. And prince, you'd better be a princess by the time I'm done."

"Right, right," Aurora said with a small sigh, for once actually being submissive. He turned back to the bed, picked up the wig, and carefully placed it back on his head. "Mmmm.. that should be good enough, and I'm already in a dress...." he murmured to himself before turning back to the knight to beam at him with his perfect smile. It seemed that, once Aurora knew the man would help him get out, he was all smiles and niceness.

"Well...I'm here to try and break the curse on the Princess." he said." And thank you Aunt Flora." he smiled, disregarding the teasing insult. He thought about what spell he'd screwed up and finally remembered it after a bit. He performed the series of hand gestures and motions and almost immediately the pink vanished and he blended into the tower wall behind him."It worked." he said stunned. He hugged FLora tightly."Yay. Thank you again Aunt Flora" he said happily.

"Still not good enough!" she intoned in a sing-songy voice. "I can still see you... Gotta get it stronger if you wanna hide from fairies, too, you know?" he said with a bit of a grin.

And then the mention of the "princess" seemed to register. "Ehh...? To break the curse on the Princess...? But... didn't I tell you? The princess is a guy! And the whole curse thing went hay-wire... so he's basically an enchanted Narcoleptic. He falls asleep randomly and can only be woken with a kiss, but any will do! It's still annoying, though, because it means we can't leave him alone."

Nic was surprised at the sudden attitude transformation that had suddenly come over the Prince, but at least he was smiling.. And what a radiant smile it was, he mused to himself. He was almost fooled all over again that the person that stood before him was female.

"You look beautiful," the knight said in somewhat of a daze. But within a few seconds, he caught himself and again turned his back hastily. "I mean.. that is what you're going for, right? Beautiful princess."

'He's a guy. He's a guy.' was what he kept repeating to himself in his head. 'Maybe the fairies put some weird spell on me.. Messing with my mind.' That was the only explanation he could come up with. He'd suspect that Flora one, if any. But hey.. At least their magic was being done for something else good. The stairs were being shortened! What a relief.

As to cover up his previous comment, he quickly changed the subject. "You don't think this will.. backfire or anything, do you? No booby traps of rolling boulders or magical explosions if it doesn't work?" he asked, but ended up rapping his knuckles on his forehead. ".. I'm sorry. I should be the confident one here."
