As Ksi always rotates a bit when he lands, he’s able to look back quickly over his left shoulder. His eyes widen as his espers sight can see the super heated air bullet coming at him.

“No time!”

He brings his left arm up as a boxer would do to protect the side of his head, even as he pivots a bit to brace himself. The blast slams into his shoulder, splitting the section of his cloak where it lands, and stumbling Ksi back. His right foot then slides back as he regains his footing yet again. Ksi then smirks at his opponent, and slowly sheaths his sword. When the sword clicks into place, the esper kicks off of the ground, flying towards Victor. He comes in with a lightening fast strike from his sheath. Seiken’s blade streaks upward from left to right like quick-silver, as Ksi unleashes the deadly sword from its sheath once again. However, if even the iaijutsu strike isn’t enough, the crafty esper follows through with the second step of this technique. In the wake of his slash, Ksi steps forward with his left foot, air-pressure blasting off of his boot. Using the power and speed of his step in, he twist his body and brings the sheath of his sword around with his left hand, as it’s still held back as if in a reverse grip. The saya arcs over, seeking to smash into the vampire’s face if he’s still standing before him. With the full force of the technique unleashes, the wind around them would break off of Ksi. Then even as he settled, he’d let his blade slip back into its sheath.

“Battoujutsu.”

Finally reaching the field, Red sees two figures engaged in what looked like the beginnings of a battle. Their was Ksi with his flash of bright blue hair, and another man whom she had never seen before.

Not quite sure what to make of this, or the new man she tried to get closer to ascertain the situation, but was soon stopped by what seemed like an invisible force field, probably one of those ward things Aykon had mentioned before.

Trying to see if she could walk around it she quickly realized that she could not, since no matter how far she walks in either direction, or how high she jumped, there was that field. Going under it wasn't an option either, so instead she found the nearest tree she could and sat under it to watch the proceedings. If this was a friendly battle like the one her and Ksi had had, or something more serious, she'd find out soon enough, and hopefully be ready to help if need be.


((I'm assuming the ward is suppose to keep people out as well? Just let me know if I need to change my post or delete it all together. ^^

(yeah, it HAS been awhile, eh? XD)

As Ksi dashed to his left, Victor slowly grinned even more then he was before, his right arm slowing down as his LEFT arm then suddenly started to rapid-fire in the direction Ksi had ran, basically trying to pre-empt the holy attack with another flurry of the punches while the Esper was hopefully caught off guard.

"Never said I couldn't use it with my OTHER hand!"

He cackled, which was the entire poitn of him just using his right up till now, to lull his foe into thinking it was a one-handed manuver. The flurry of blows should pound through the holy attack even if he got it off. As they were charged with his chi.

The bullets had landed behind Ksi in succession as he had streaked off to the side, just as if he were really being shot at. Of course his beam was then pounded into nothing by the vampires remaining ammunition. When the ether clears from the air, Victor can see a somewhat comically perplexed look on Ksi’s face.

“Eh?”

He sighs humorously, and then calmly resumes his battoujutsu stance, his face back to business. He begins to careful etch towards Victor, closing the distance towards him gradually, being very cautious of the eldered vampire. Meanwhile, to Victor he may look like a stalking cat, getting ready to pounce, like a trap that could be sprung any moment, if one were to misstep. The count could feel Ksi’s power rising as well, as they advanced to the next stage of their spar.

[Raising level to Harmonic 2]

Once within range, Ksi finally springs forth. In an instant, he’s very near to Victor’s chest. His hand pulls on the hilt of his sword, as he aims it at the vampire’s chest. The butt of the hilt would impact the count’s sternum from mid-draw, meaning the blade would only be half revealed. The force of the blow should be enough to knock one back and off balance. Then Seiken would truly fly from its sheath once again. The resistance from the drawing of the sword from the saya, creates a resistance, that once released, increases the speed and lethal nature of his slashes. The sword would flash from left to right, as if he were trying to take the vampire’s head off.

Ksi’s blade slashes off of Victor’s bandages in a spray of etherical sparks. Then, when the vampire throws his hiken punch, Ksi brings his left elbow down in an attempt to block. However, the esper suffers most of the force of the attack on his abdomen. He goes sliding back, his green shirt torn open and his abs burned. Catching himself, he winces a bit, and then shoots a steely look of determination at his opponent. Launching towards the vampire like a rocket, he flies past Victor like an attacking hawk, unleashing another deadly slash lateral to his body. A streak of white cuts through the air, as the light flashes off of his silver blade. Then, immediately after passing, he spins to face the count even as he lands. Aiming his sword at the vampire with both hands, he unleashes another beam of holy ether at him, even as he’s still sliding back.

“Ten~Ha!”

The wave of white energy blast forth from Ksi’s sword as if it were a cannon, the beam now twice the size of before. The force of the emission pushes the esper back further, small rocks and dirt lifting upward and then breaking off of his attack.

Ksi ducks the vampire’s grasp, a bit of his hair getting singed in the process. Rolling back quickly, he comes up to his feet just a bit behind Victor and to his left. Even as he rolls up to his feet, his sword slashes upward in attempt to split the count’s back up the middle.
