She wanted more water? "Ok.." he answered, while catching up to her. "You want to swim again?" Ah well, maybe Echo just preferred the water? She had already had her share of water when they were in the forest, so now what did she mean? Vodka was very confused by such, and he only blinked at her before sighing again. There was no reason for him not to listen, though!
He had to admit, the beach was very pretty, and when they had arrived on the sand, Vodka stood for a moment before turning to Echo. He looked around at the slowly fading sky, and he noticed some new stars appearing. "Now what, Echo? Wander where?" He was genuinely interested, since Echo picked something out this time.

Sha laughed merrily at his suggestion. Silly. "Not swim. Shelter." She winked at him and trotted off down the beach, heading towards the river mouth that they would have to cross to head up towards her friends camp. Leisure trotting, so that she could admire the last vestiges of the sun, dropping below the waves.

"Shelter?!" he almost fell over in confusion, but he tried to pull himself together. He had his own shelter, thank you very much! He would find shelter in the trees or something, but shelter with a mare?
.... ... ...
Wait.. what was Echo doing? He was pretty sure she wasn't into him.. but.. hugh?! Vodka had never.. slept by a mare, and usually that only meant one thing!
His mind when back and forth for a second, before his spazztic expression finally went back to the calm mare in front of him. "I don't need a place to rest, Echo. I appreciate your kindness.." What was this mare thinking>!>
(( Silly Vodka, so innocent XD ))

The look she gave him could make a snail feel small, a mix of amusement and annoyance. What was the stallion thinking? First, he's spasming about how late it is getting, pressing her to find shelter, and now she is considerate enough to offer shelter for them both, to spare his wee mind, he acts like she's planning to serve him up to a kalona and help eat him. All she was doing was offering the poor thing a place to sleep, since he seemed so worried about the dark and staying up late. "....."

No response?
Vodka just lowered his head and continued to follow. He must have hurt her feelings or something, so he remained silent. He could just dash away, especially for the sake of his comfort. He also could kindly explain to her what's going on? So many options.. none of them sounded good enough at the moment.
"I appreciate you gesture Echo, but I just don't feel comfortable sleeping.. with a female.." The last part was muttered in a tiny voice, and he turned his flushed face away and focused on something else. It was worth a shot to be truthful!

The noise she made was laughter. But she still didn't have the words to tell him the place she was taking him to would have more than just herself and him. Nor that her designs were hardly on his oh-so-manly body, if that was what he thought. The amusement was visible. She didn't mean to be cruel, though that was how it may come across. So she tried. "Not sleeping with Echo." She laughed. "Sleeping with another." she explained, laughing harder. "Shelter... you." She shook her head.

Vodka let his ears droop, and he walked behind the female lazily. So it wasn't even in her plan or mind to have him sleep by her? Now he was depressed by the very thought! Was he really that worthless of a stallion?
His emotions were honestly too flippy floppy!
"Ok.." he only answered, walking carefully on the jagged landscape. "I mean, this is nice of you and everything, but I am fine just going home. Whatever is easier, I suppose." Echo was more able then Vodka had thought, and now he felt stupid for feeling bad for her.

... This stallion was just a piece of work, wasn't he? She had obviously gone about the wrong way of reassuring him. Her face scrunched up in concentration as she reviewed her words. Had she said something wrong?
... No, though it may have been vague. The look she gave the stallion was sidelong, and her shoulders visibly slumped. Failed effot, and apparent insulting of her new friend when she'd TRIED to be reassuring... she had!

Ok, maybe Vodka just needed to just shut his mouth until they got there. It was apparent that he failed at talking, so why continue to confuse both Echo and himself? Besides, he could always decide what to do when he actually saw what was going on and where Echo was leading him!
So for the next few minutes, he just followed silently, hoping they would be there soon. "We almost there?" he shoved out, after a long period of silence.

She led him along, silent, ears twitching back in her head. She'd certainly no clue who would be at the encampment tonight. She led the stallion in silence, until they came upon a teepee, and an encampment. There were several soquili moving around the area, milling and enjoying the area, some sleeping. All those who considered this home; though other soquili would be welcome in the area as well, friends such as were being brought by herself. Citlalli, the redheaded two-legger who provided the shelter, whistled a greeting, and Echo nickered a hello, though she did not approach the human. "This is there." she said simply. "Shelter. Home?" she pondered. Not really a home, but certainly a place of shelter for her should she require it.

Vodka lightened up when he saw the nice atmosphere, and then brought a smile on his face for Echo. "Its a lovely area." The encampment was so serene and calm, it was much different then he expected.
"Is this where you sleep, Echo?" Maybe it would be alright to just, fall asleep here. He could always go back into the woods, since there were many spots that he found while on their walk to the camp.
If Echo did indeed sleep there, he would feel better, knowing he could leave her in this safe atmosphere. "Which spot to you sleep around?" He nosed to the left and right, wondering where he should lead her to safety.

It was relaxed. Suspiciously so. She moved over to a tall black stallion, nosing him in greeting. He was obviously someone special to her, especially with the way he rested his head on hers. "This is where I sleep." she agreed, returning to him after a moment. "Home." She led him over to a blanket, and nosed at it. "Sleep, Vodka." Her smile was warm. "Shelter there."

Vodka could do nothing else but nod at the female, and move where he told her. "Tha..thank you, Echo." Before he could really look around, he bent his head down and fell into a deep sleep. The shelter really was comfortable, and much better then where he usually slept. And it was all thanks to Echo, to whom he was honored to have met.
