I have a few stories:
This happened to a friend: it was dress rehersal and she does this jazz solo to jail house rock from Elvis, it is awesome cause she made this huge jail cell that she dances in for the begining and at the end. What was terrible was the first time she did it she blanked, the second time in the middle of her dance the music stopped. But she kept on doing it! My friends and I were in the audience showing support and we knew the words and started to sing the song. It was hilarious. THEN the third time it was perfect!
This has happened two years in a row:Every year my hip hop class is the opening for our recital The curtains opened and some country music started to play. It was hilarious!
Talking about peeing on stage:
I help out with 2 and 3 year olds and the act before theirs was doing an acro to shout. One of the girls peed on the mats! Then they wiped off the matts and started to set up for the wrong dance! It was a nightmare!

heart lol...i've only screwed up majorly twice in all my yrs...
once i accidently got lost durin the routine n started doing the dance break which ment i stepped out of line n started dancing by myself in the front!
the other time the whole group was dancing facing the back n i forgot to turn to the back n ended up facing the front dancing! later backstage my teacher told me off for it but said cause of my position in the formation(middle front) it looked like it was choreographed razz heart

actually just recently at my recital on june 25th, 2007. I was on stage in the front when i slipped. I didnt lose my balance but i got so scared. i started to shake on stage and could finish the dance right. i didnt make it to my spot on time but i started to think of what i could do to make it llok like i didnt mess up because we had to dance down the aisles. i got so scared. but next time i`ll make sure i dont do that.

It was my very first competition and I was like 8. Anyway, we went into a kick line in our tap dance and I was so in to the dance I kicked a little too high. Needless to say, my other foot slipped out from under me and I fell!! The worst thing of it though was I was the very middle person, so everyone went down with me cuz we were linked with our arms!!!! We all cracked up when we got off stage though! xd

At a comp last year I was doing my slip jig and obviously no one had bothered to check the stage closely because part of it was coming loose. My toe got caught in the loose part and tripped. My legs flew out from beneath me and I landed flat on my back. Then the girl on stage with me tripped over me and just missed falling off the front of the stage.
It was only a small comp though so it was more amusing than anything else.

I was dancing on stage. Everything was going good untill we messed up. My whole dance class started this one part called the circle of dance on wrong count so some kids were going and some kids were just standing there so that was my worst moment on a stage.

My group's done something like that too! Luckily, it was at a retirement home so no one really cared. lol But there was another circumstance where it was recital and there was this HUGE dispute over when to end it, and like, the side was doing it, but the middle wasn't...at least it looked kind of okay.

Last Year while I was doing my acro dance at recital, Me and this girl were doin a lift that was hard for us because her positioning was to high or to low (i was getting lifted) sop on stage I tried to go on her but she was to low so we blew the move COMPLETELY!

This weekend! April 5, 2008 to be exact. We were doing our small line tap dance that we do with the class one year younger than us, anyway, my dance teacher ordered our red leotards late and they got there the day of competition. (She kills me when she does that!) She claims that she counted 14 leos and one sequined shirt. we ended up being one short and we had to stay upstairs(in the dressing room) until about 4 numbers before ours. we never found it so we just wore our black turtle neck ones. then we get backstage and i try to forget about everything that had happened. then this girl from our class had a major attitude problem so she stomped off to way backstage twice before the dance. she came back. we then had to figure out where to line up because of the dividers in the curtain(we had about half a number to do so) and i totally blanked out and forgot all of my places! i tried to keep calm and keep the formations looking normal. i came off stage crying because i was sooo mad at myself! then all of the mom's sed it looked fine. we got a high silver and we listen to judges tapes on wednesday so i can't wait to hear what they said!

during competition when i was about 7 we were doing a production number of annie. the costumes were these straight cut dresses that cam to our knees... well somewhere along in the dance we do a few leaps and straddle rolls on the ground.. guess what happened? our costumes ripped all the way up to out arm pits because the stupid moms forgot to sew slits in the sides of the dresses.
last years ballet recital the teacher changed our across the floor combination at the last minute... and i forgot it completely. so while the other dancers are leaping across the floor, i just run behind them.. god it was embarrassing.
then this last years nutcracker i was a soldier. there are explosions on the stage and we had rehearsed it several times, but during rehearsals we never accounted for the gun powder in the air. well as we were marching forward, i marched straight into the cloud of gun powder, and got it in my eyes.
i danced the whole thing blind. i nearly ran into one of the "generals" and i think i knocked a mouse over. i was in so much pain (i could barely keep myself from screaming it hurt so bad), and was so disoriented. after i got off i just ran upstairs and washed my eyes the best i could.
but i talked to the director, apologizing for ruining the battle scene, and she said she had no idea anything was wrong. stare she said she heard someone got something in there eyes, but she had no idea that it was me.
so i guess i pulled that off well.

Well, at the last dance concert I was in i had nude tights on under these weird brown gauchos for our costumes and I forgot to safety pin the top to the gauchos. My pants had gone down BELOW my butt and I couldn't even feel it because of the tights. Which were nude...and had a vertical seem that resembled a butt crack. So I was basically mooning the audience for about a minute and 40 seconds before I found out. talk about mortification....

Well, that's awkward ;]
Haha, so I came on to post one of many horrifying stories to find I'd STARTED this discussion of our funny moments. lol. Wow.
So, this wasn't onstage, but at WCDE Regionals and I whacked this guy in the stomach during a barrel roll at convention. He was like, what are you doing? It was...embarrassing to say.
And then there was Nationals, where I almost fell over during an extension. Soooo. That was bad too and I just about started bawling later. :/ I've never been one good with anything less than my bestt.
Hmmmm, well my sister sprained her ankle a week before Nationals. That was a nightmare for their team.
And so I was a Junior BlazerDancer and this almost happened in front of 20,000 people, but luckily, we didn't end up performing it. So there's this one part where we get on our partner's back and do the hand jive. Of course, I can't do it to save my life. Hahahaha, we did it right like twice. Out of like hundred's of practices.
I feel like something funny happened performing in front of 20,000 people. Well, my friend ran out because she thought it was a timeout. But it wasn't. And she didn't hear my coach, so she was like clapping out on to the court. Epiccc.

Oh and one time we were at this local school and we borrowed their stage. Will apperently the floor was fixed and hadn't been for years was all borken and stuff and so our teacher told us to stay away from that side. one girl forgot about it and scared her leg so now we don't use that school
