Sibalto whinnied gamely and let the last reins on his speed loose. He crouched low, flattening out his ears and bannering his tail as his strides lengthened and doubled, carrying them to the great speed he enjoyed with such wild fierceness. Despite the speed and the drumming of his hooves, his strides were as smooth as ever, making it easy to stay atop his back.
Tashika smiled, stroking his braided mane. It was quite a fetching look -she thought- and the gold dancing in his mane caught the sun... He was a fine looking thing, and she told him so in a smiling whisper, rubbing his neck and face.

Aely laughed and patted his neck for just a moment. As he sped up she had to focus a bit more on her seat than what Tashika -probably- had to do, but she was in no way hampered or about to topple off. In fact, the giggles she had been letting loose earlier errupted into a joyful laugh. It was so free to move like this. No wonder the stallion chomped at the bit to have his head. “Don’t wear yourself out! Your girl will have my head!”
Harij nuzzled at the girl’s shoulder and lowered his head to butt at her very gently. While Harij was a gangly stallion in height he more than made up for it in gentleness. The show at their first meeting was nearly forgotten by him and he’d probably look at it in distaste later. Fighting wasn’t his style.

"Look how tall you are." Tashika smiled as he nosed her so sweetly. "I could stand under your very chin... What a striking thing you are... I hope you protect Aely, I like her..."
She turned and watched the pair sweeping around the clearing, knowing full-well that Sibalto had more endurance than people would expect. Running full-tilt was his joy, as well as his dancing... He was a handsome sight, mane and tail streaming... And the young woman atop his back seemed to be enjoying herself!
Sibalto snorted a soft laugh at Aely's words, knowing Tashika would never hurt the woman. He could tell his two-legger already thought of the young woman as a friend, and indeed, he agreed with the idea. More than content to run the day away, he slowed slightly, nickering to show he had heard Aely's words. At least she was enjoying herself, of that much he was glad... Even if he couldn't run as far and fast as he wanted to...

Aely enjoyed the feeling of the rushing of wind and even the sound of the pounding of hooves on the ground, but knew that soon they’d have to stop and let him catch his breath. Even the most well-trained horse needed a break every now and again. Truth be told her own rump wasn’t really used to the movement of the saddle-contraption and all that much riding ever… She laughed slightly and began to pull back on the reins very softly and gave Sibalto the simple command of, “Whoah.” Most of the horses she knew took that one, he probably did too?
Harij snorted and nudged her shoulder with his forehead. His amber eyes were twinkling softly and went from Taskika to Aely. Good. His girl needed friends even more than his poor anti-social self did. With a home-life that was less than sterling, Harij wanted to be able to take off with the girl and leave her where he felt she’d be safe. Once again, he nipped at the edge of her shirt before straightening to see what his girl was doing with the stallion.

Arching his neck and snort, Sibalto slowed to a canter, then a prancing walk. He paced back over to where Harij and Tashika stood, reaching a nose out to his human and nodding faintly at the other stallion. He hoped that Aely had enjoyed herself... He certainly had.
Tashika smiled and stroked the stallion's cheek, reaching a hand out to greet her own as Sibalto and Aely ceased their fun. She smiled up at her new friend, eyes dancing. "So?"

Aely let the stallion lead them both back over towards her Harij and hopefully a new friend. Her stomach was all jumpy from the fun that had been the ride and at the same time she felt rather calm. Eventually her and Harij would have to do that too. Her answer for Tashika was to grin broadly. Perhaps like Harij she was less adapt with words.
Harij lipped at the girl and nodded towards the stallion before beginning to prance and dance a bit. For once the stallion spoke quite fluently, but not with words. He moved over to lip at his girl’s leg and squeaked a bit. Not a word for either horse or human. She was his girl, right?! Nobody would be considered better, nobody!

Tashika watched her new friend grin, and then laughed, a loud, silken burst of sound. So then, that was good... Very good.. Aely had enjoyed herself and Sibalto fairly pranced with happiness. "Good... I'm glad."
Sibalto nipped at Tashika's fingers, then rumbled deeply in his chest, resting his muzzle in her palm. It had been an enjoyable run, but a bit of a race across the coutryside, that would be more like it! Eyes gleaming, he nipped at Tashika and pranced, speaking without words.
Tashika smiled, then eyed Aely and Harij, a challenge gleaming in her amethyst eyes. "Shall we race?"

Aely was startled for a moment since she usually didn’t have too much to laugh about and even then she tended to be quiet. Then she relaxed and grinned back at her friend and reached out to pat Harij, the stallion wasn’t hyper but he definitely seemed content.
Harij began to tug at Aely’s shirt tails, obviously the stallion made it a habit to try to destroy clothes whenever the chance reared it’s head. The stallion was smiling to himself, but not showing too much outer excitement. A race? Oh boy.. His pride would be on the line, along with keeping his girl safe.
Aely nodded her head and turned to pull herself up onto Harij without much trouble, “I think we would both enjoy it.”

"Wonderful!" Tashika grinned, leaping onto Sibalto's back and settling herself in the saddle. As she shortened her reins, she glanced around the forest, thinking. "And where shall we race to? Is there a landmark or sorts you know of? Something that we could easily distiguish as the 'finish line'?"
Sibalto stood still as she leapt onto his back, but began to prance as soon as she had a firm seat. A race! Now that was more like it... Reins firmly in her hands, he mouthed the bit, testing her... Ears flicked back and forth. A good swift run.

Aely cooed at Harij for a moment before pulling herself up with a small, “Umph!” and settling smoothly on him. The run on Sibalto had gotten her used to the way that they would move together at least if Harij had a similar stride. “Well, I know about a mile or two ahead there’s a stream.. First one to the stream’s edge?” They’d have to weave through a few thin patches of trees.. But that’d be all right…
Harij kept completely still, just focusing on what his strategy would be. Aely would not fall and at the same time losing wasn’t overly highon his list. Lowering his head a bit and ready to build speed, Harij waited for his girl’s cue.

Tashika considered her friends words... A mile or two? That would be a bit of a race, to be sure... Pacing... They'd have to pace themselves a bit... But right to a stream... Oh a swim might be nice...
"That sounds wonderful." She agreed with a smile. "I await your cue!"
Sibalto froze, ears pitched foward. Towards water? He knew when they drew closer, he'd be able to smell the sweetness of the stream... This would be nice... A good long run, and then a swim...

Aely knew that what she had chosen definately didn't fit into the norm but she had felt the energy in Sibalto and her mind had calculated that their best chance at success would be for him to bolt forward hard and fast while her and Harij kept a steady but quick pace. Now, Tashkika probably would figure ont he same thing so near the end.. it would probably turn into a neck-and-neck race.
Harij arched his neck and nearly bowed when Aely settled herself onto his back. It was more important to him that they lose and be safe than she fall off and he gets there first or for her to develop a fear of his fast gait. Harij knew he could run, it was just a matter of how steady she'd remain.

Sibalto felt a jolt of excitement dance through him, his muscles tightening, neck arching, tail lashing around his hindquarters. He mouthed the bit, tested... Where did he need to go... Towards a river... A mile.. Two.. A long race... He suddenly stilled, silver eyes flashing.
Time to start.
Tashika shortened her stirrups, checking the girth of the saddle, the sit of the blanket to be sure all was well... She stood in the stirrups, testing them, satisfied when she rode higher, out of the way when Sibalto leapt into motion. She shortened his reins and buried her hands in the flow of his mane, to either side of his neck, crouching.
"When you are ready." She murmured tightly, eager.
