In Ness's opinion, there wouldn't be very many things in life Victor would be able to out-do her in. However, finding ways in the dark and in caves were the one she had to give to him. She was just not a creature naturally in tune to such things. Then again.. Victor did have quite a lot of bat like qualities.
She kept walking smiling and twirling her flashlight in her hand. She swung a hand behind her back, resting on the edge of her hip. Further ahead, it looked like it was a dead end. "Think we should try to dig into that wall? I brought a shovel.. cuz i'm thinking.. what if there are little areas full of candy down here... I bet they are hidding behind cave walls... " She looked at him to see what he thought.

He looked to her and smiled. "Well..If there are any, I can be the first to see, " he spoke, walking to the wall. He got down onto his knees, scratching at the dirt, and tapping it a time or two with his nose.. .. Strange you might ask, but he turned to her and nodded, "Yeah. Might as well try it," he spoke, giving her another nod.

Ness furrowed in her brow. She pulled the shovel out of her pack and started to dig away. For a girl, she was actually doing pretty good. She just kept at it. She dug right at the crease of where the wall met the floor.
After about 20 minutes of this, she started to see something shiny. "Ooohh... What's that???"

"Hmm?", Victor went over to the other side of her to get a better look. He scrapped his claws around it carefully, as to not damage it. He wouldn't care about his claws until they got out, so he could clean them better. "Hmm.."

Ness was now digging faster than ever. She held the shovel upside down and chipped in higher on the wall. This cause some of it to come crashing down in a pile of dust and rock. But, as the dust cleared, there appeared a cavern. It seemed to have quite a variety of growing candy inside.. not just rock candy.
Ness just stood at that hole staring in. It was a sight she had never seen. O_O

Victor let his jaw drop as low as it could go. He let off a whistle, looking at the variety of candy that seemed to just glaze the walls. "This kicks the crud out of my cavern," he spoke softly, still very amazed.

Ness shook off the shovel and stuck it back in her bag. She almost would have dropped it; but something told her they might need it before the end of their trip.
She crawled on her hands and knees through the hole the made in the wall inside there. Once inside, she started to walk around. She saw a gummy crawling on the wall. She picked up, looked at it, and licked it. "Ohhh... Man... I'm like.. gonna try some of everything in here I think."

He himself had his bag still on his person. Victor crawled behind her, and went to another side of the wall. He had packed a couple of jars, y'know..just in case. He grinned, this obviously was the case. "Hmm..", he began to look through, to identify whatever could be in the glistening cave.

Ness by now had eaten a few of the gummi worms she found about. Then, she found some of the walls had this.. winding vines of taffy and licorice up them. She had taken some of that off too. She stood there chewing on one when she started to wonder.. Just how long could they stay here without having to leave.
She turned to look at Victor. "Hey.. Victor... are you in a hurry to go home?"

He looked to her, holding a couple of sour straws in his paws. Shaking his head, "Naw, I had on the note I'd be gone for a couple of days. And if I wasn't back to check back with your owner," he shrugged, "Hopefully that was the right thing to do?", he smiled, giving her one of them, "Taste this," he smiled to her, slurping the other one into his own mouth. The quick rush of sour made his face turn another direction, but back to normal as he got used to it.

Ness looked at it with a testing eye. Then, she poured just a little in her mouth. It made her eyes water; but after the initial shock, it was ok. So then, she tried to pour the whole thing in at once. That gave her a super shock.
She shook herself out of that; and then she walked over to a spot on the floor. It had crystals growing out that looked like candy diamonds. But, when she pulled one out, it was actually not that hard as it looked. She chewed on it finding it actually sort of gummy.
She got down on her knees. She decided to pluck some of these and take them with her.

He smiled, and reached into his bag, bringing out four glass mason jars. "Got something to carry your load in?", he asked her, holding onto two of them in his paws, the other two under his arms.

She turned her head and looked up at him from the side. She smiled. "Um.. I sure don't. I was just gonna dump them in the bag. Are you... offering to let me use one?" She light of the hard candies in the cave and her flashlight made her sapphire eyes sparkle like gems at they looked up at him.

"Use both of them, I've got two of my own," he smiled, handing both of them over to her. He let the ones under his arm slide, where he caught them quickly. "Thank goodness for my random thought of bringing these," he chuckled slightly, "So, I shall get to collecting," he smirked, taking off the lid and slipping it and the unopened jar into his bag. He went to the spot where he had started looking over the candy in the wall, taking only some of the choices he had to take with him.

"Thanks.." Ness smiled at him. But, soon as he walked back to his wall. She had busied herself with stuffing the jars with all sorts of stuff she had seen. She wanted a little of everything. Wasn't that so Ness?
She giggled to herself starting to feel the sugar rushing through her; making her feel hyper and all her senses heightened. Her eyes were just moving about randomly as she was enjoying what she was munching on.
Her eyes were watching Victor for a minute. It was a times like this that she really liked hanging out with him. If only he'd be this Victor all the time...
