I am essentially like you. I dislike rap, but such bands like linkin' park are a good kind of rap. I don't discriminate against people for the music they listen to. I personally prefer Rock, Gothic, Classical Rock, Classical, Metal and Alternative.

Judging people is wrong, but people still do it.

Judging people is not wrong, it is a perfectly natural thing to do. Through natural selection the wary are far better off and more likely to live longer than the PC. Every reaction to any human experience is primarily based on past experiences, therefore every form of prejudice is perfectly natural, anything that makes up a persons character, from the presumed, such as race (which is wrong seeing as this may or may not be 100% accurate) and the more forward, such as musical taste (much more likely to help paint a picture of a persons nature)is completely normal and is to be expected rather than frowned upon. Of course racism is wrong as far as race-hate and ethnic cleansing is concerned, but it and things like it are vital for snap judgements.

My favorite kind of music is Rock 'n Roll (classic rock) and folk music. Queen and Great Big Sea. lol. I do like some country and a bit of other stuff, but mostly the rock and folk. Oh! And oldies! Beach Boys rock! lol
I think hating someone for what they listen to is childish and stupid. I don't care either way what others listen to. Everyone has their own opinion on what each kind of music is and means, that's the way life is.
