Kiefer slowly opened his eyes again. "No..." he said, yawning and closing his eyes again. He shifted. Ah, heck with it. Soon the sun would wake him up, and that would be no comfort at all. Lovely, that is exactly what he wanted. The sun to wake him up.
"This was a bad idea, I think" he said, becoming increasingly relaxed by the pounding of the waterfall. It was like a soothing lullaby, calming and consistent. The morning bugs were beginning to buzz, suggesting the heat of the day.
The stallion nuzzled his head into the grass, shifting his feet slightly. Moments later, he was fast asleep.

As Ahote drifted in and out of attention, he just barely heard Keifer's last words.
"Yeah...maybe it was."
He looked at Keifer with his eyes half opened and saw as he lowered his head onto the grass. He smiled weakly and soon enough, he found his head had also found the nice grassy earth. He rolled over onto his side and before he knew it, his eyes were closed, and light dreams were drifting through his head.
