I personally don't like pink, I love blue. However some people like pink, it probably was picked due to some sort of survey.

I think the pink DS is ugly. I have myself a white DS lite. The black smudges too much.
I personally wouldn't take a pink one. I like neutral colors.
Easier to get a skin for.

I hate how they make a system pink, assuming that it will make girls wany to buy one.

littlekela Why is pink automatically considered a "girl" color? Good question. Why is it that many girl gamers assume that Nintendo put out a pink system specifically for them? Is the stereotype that ingrained that a company can't even put out a coloured system (which comes in other colours, I might add) without getting cries of "sexist!". Personally? I bought a coral - or, pink, DS. I love it. I was going to go for black, but I got there and thought about it, and all the electronics I have are black, white, or silver...I like a bit of colour in my life, all colour, so I went pink. Does that make me less of a gamer? Hell, no! It doesn't make me horribly socially conditioned as well, I'm not buying it because society tells me I should love pink (honestly, at least where I live, I don't think I've seen that old nuggest since I was, what...ten?) I'm buying it because I like the colour and I like having colour and variety. Heck, my personal favorite would have been a bright green (darker than lime) DS! Pink is a colour. Seriously. While I'm not so naive to doubt that they added it to help market to the widest possible audience, isn't that what all the colours are for? To customize to their customers, something that I don't consider a bad trait. Its not like they're marketing them offensively or in a sexist manner, heck, practically the only sexism I've heard on this matter comes from the gamers themselves.

TheTwilightPrincess Honestly, I'm repulsed at the color pink. I don't think they should appeal to girls with a pink DS, i actually would like a green one. =D I don't like pink just 'cause. I'll wear it sometimes and if someone gave me one I'd still play with it but I would be likely to trade it in if I could. xd Pink just isnt a color I like. No reason. I don't see why pink is automatically considered girly. I liked it when all those pink shirts for guys came out that said "Pink is the new black" or "All my other shirts were dirty" I thought they were funny. It takes a man to wear something like that, lol. @Twilight Princess: I agree. A green DS would be cool. I would love an orange one. Its my favorite color. But, til they come out with one, I'll be happy with my black one. 3nodding

I hate pink. I love chrome, and I love smexy black. I love the sleak black look of my psp, yet silver was my fav color for the sp. Thing is, with my room colored the way it is, silver's the smartest choice wiht me cause silver things in my room are harder to loose. Never lost my sp in my room, but i've lost my psp a few times. Now, onto topic: Pink is STUPID. I hate the color pink, and when I see pink on handhelds I always think the marketing executives are trying to loop in girls. Though I'll admit most females I know like pink for so strange reason. And prep boys too now. Is there some kinda pink flu epidemic going around?

I actually don't mind the pink at all. I think they should do what they did with the Game Boy color and release a nice assortment, instead of monochromatics like black, white, and silver/grey. Those are just so bland! I'd prefer green or yellow if it were up to me.

My bf has a pink one cause his white one died and pink was all they had at gamestop. Must be a popular color if a lot of palces only have it in stock. Still silver or white's best for me since I loose things easy and those colors stand out best in my room.

Sakyh Must be a popular color if a lot of palces only have it in stock. Actually, I think you've got it backwards. White and black were OUT of stock because people were buying them, but the pink was still left for him to buy because nobody else did.

SilverBellsAbove In any case, I got a black one. All my electronics are shiny and black: my computer, my monitor, my Mp3 player, my Ps2... I guess that makes me a supervillain. I like badass-looking electronics. Pink electronics turn me off. Pardon the pun. No, it makes you like a lot of other people. It's hard to avoid black, it's easy to clean, it's sleek. I personally love the pink ds. I don't have one of my own, but I'd love to have one. And it's girly. It appeals to girly girls, which is a whole other market. by the way, pink is a girly color because guys think they'll look gay if they wear anything pink. The guys that do are either gay or want to challenge the stereotype and don't care what people think of them. So pink was made for girls. And gay guys.
