I haven't had a problem with trillian or aim, Ellie. Sorry.
Though I have had problems with Balc picking a fight with big nasties while my low-levels were running in circles screaming and trying to survive. mad
On the other hand, it was good fun. xd

That's going to take me a while before I'll meet the requirements. All in all taking down that Nest-hair Huganoid proved highly profitable.

I'm running in areas that I spent days in during the closed beta... and want music of a different flavor. I suspect it's the load of the game combined with the load of iTunes that's killing Trillian. :p I need to build a playlist and pump the music through VLC; it's got a much smaller memory footprint.

defenestrated I'm brain dead having just had a final at 8am but I'll give a few of these a shot. whee Balcerzak How do I unequip my characters? The only one that lets me take his weapon off is my Scout. It should be a simple as dragging it from the character equipment panel to your inventory - it might matter whether you're actually looking at the Equip section of the inventory when you try to drag but I don't know. That's probably not much help. sweatdrop Yeah, I try that, get a clinking sound but nothing ends up happening. I can't even try discarding it to the ground and then picking it back up, either, as it gave me some sort of "equipt cannot be discarded in the char view screen" message. Assuming I remember correctly. I only inquire because I'm stance levelled Standing nearly completely, cannot learn Kneeling or anything else, and was thinking of levelling bare-handed, but sadly cannot. def Quote: Warp points: Not the waypoint. I'm thinking a la "Town Portal". Do these exist, and how can I use them? There is a Warp Point menu (the blue swirly thing in the toolbar) where you can save locations you'd like to be able to jump back to. If you buy Warp Scrolls from the Leonardo Express NPC, you can open the Warp menu, select one of the points you've saved, and open a Warp Portal by clicking "Execute". Be careful though as the portal isn't open indefinitely and Warp Scrolls cost 500 so don't dawdle clicking on them once they're open. wink
They are time savers but best used when there is no nearby Waypoint to your destination.Yowch. 500 vis for a one-time-use time-saver? I think I'll walk. def Quote: XP cards: How to use these? I'm starting to amass quite a collection. If you double click them in your inventory, it'll give the experience amount listed on the card to whatever character is currently selected as the team leader. I thought I had tried that. Must have been in a laggy patch where it didn't recognize my user input. I might as well at this point save them for if I want to branch into other PC classes to zoom them to the point where I can bring them in a party to high-level dungeons and not worry about them dying immediately and constantly. Or NPCs, if I have to level them from 1. Ellie def Quote: EDIT: Is there a way in-game to switch between windowed and full-screen mode? Really hope so but don't know how. sad Not to my knowledge, as it'd totally screw the placement of things in the UI. I run full screen and + in and out as needed.
I've also had considerable difficulties keeping Trillian or AIM running while GE is going, but I suspect that's a raw memory issue.I become sad. While I typically cannot run anything in addition if I want GE to be any kind of playable, there are occasions where I'd want to toggle out and check up on things, and not care how GE was chopping along for ten/fifteen minutes, until I close out my other programs and return to killing. Also, alt-tabbing out of full-screen utterly locks up my computer, and nothing will show on my display for half-hour plus, while running windowed leads to ridiculously more lag and choppy than I can stomach. An in-game converting ability such as that of A18 would have been ideal for my situation. cry

Arcadian The aloof but passionate family Riekerson has arrived. Is that you and cosette, or just you? I'll have to stop by sometime when you're playing. It may be interesting to see how you make your party.

It was great seeing the people I saw over the weekend. Especially accidentally bumping into modists in GE.
The Faction's now at 10 families, which is -great-, and once we get a few other stragglers, we'll be formally badass.
In-game, keep me abreast of what level people are and what you need. I am often in a unique position to provide it. I take care of my kids.

Addendum: The Hellborne Family has an obvious lean toward gunpowder weaponry, as almost every family member present uses a firearm. twisted

Yay, level 32 with my primary team. Boo, bankrupt from pumping equipment. Yay, Rommie'd provided me with enough to get me rolling. Boo, getting teamwiped by some jackass with 40+ daemons on his a**. Yay, I found people to pass some of the L20 and L24 gear I had stockpiled. Boo, the servers were down this morning, so I wasn't able to set up an autogrind. Yay, finding the family that got me greased slaughtered to a man a bit further on the path. Yes, I giggled. And told him he was an a**. It felt wonderful. smile
So, yah. The Yays won last night. smile

Romuel That being said... Are there any questions that need answering about GE? Family 1 begins a fight with an elite mob. Family 2 comes in and gets the final hit. Who gets kill credit: First blood, or last blood? It's a question I could answer for myself were it not for lag preventing my ability to resolve most individual attacks. But it is an extremely important question to know the answer to.

Most of the times when someone's run by me and killed something I was attacking, the drops aftwards are labled as belonging to them. whee

Now this is odd because they don't spawn in corridors, and it was low on health. When I killed it the area voucher it dropped was for an area around two rooms removed from the corridor, and was property of another family. Maybe I just saw some glitch in action, though, or missed seeing the coup de grace.

Okay. Update.
I'm now level 44. What does this mean?
It means I can go into all of your areas and 'shop' for gear.
If you're interested, let me know the level and gear you need.
Also: This weekend, we're shifting from the pre-open beta to the open beta. What does this mean?
First it means that there's no play on wednesday or thursday night.
Second it means that there's going to be a lot more players.
Third...We're all still good with our stuff.
