They seemed to do their jobs pretty well if you ask me. After all, they managed to capture a group of host bodies whilst remaining undetected. Not to mention they now appear to have the building surrounded and (being made of straw and all) probably don't have to worry too much about getting shot or stabbed or anything (we already know they can continue to operate with someone's hand stuck through them). I'd say that they were a lot more efficient and dangerous than you give them credit for.

heart Well, I caught the episode when I happened to be in England the day it aired and I loved it, I generally tend to be drawn to similar stories, even though I was clearly confused and hadn't seen ANY of the current series (season, here in the US) I was able to get a feel for the story pretty quickly I think, even though at first I was going "WTF is up with the Doctor?!" I'll need to read more plot summaries I think before I fully understand what's happening. But um, for what it's worth I liked it, and I love David Tennant. ninja

Roobarb I reserve full judgement on this episode until I've seen the second part, as two-parter's can't really be judged on one half alone. However, I enjoyed it and thought it was very unusual and well done. To me it had a strange 7th Doctor feel, though the story itself was all its own. It was perhaps the setting and tone and so on that made me think of McCoy. I could imagine Ace playing Martha's part, though slightly differently. Funny you should say that, because the book that this story is based on was a seventh doctor book.

Hmm... someone must have mentioned that to me at some point but I swear that's not why I thought it, the story just FEELS like a 7th Doctor story. Or maybe a 5th. Not that I'm complaining about that, it's still a good story. It's just kind of odd because it has a different tone from a lot of the other 10th Doctor ones.

Excellent. This episode is wonderful, and reminds me of why I love Doctor Who.
The storyline is intriguing, the characters are all really cool (especially the psychic boy who stole the Doctor's watch - I love him), and the tone is overall creepy.
I can't wait to see the next episode...
I think the boy is going to save the day. biggrin
Also... I don't think the writers would ever have the Doctor really get married and have kids like that. It'll probably be more of a 'what could be' montage. And I think the psychic boy might be somehow related to the Doctor or Time Lords or something. That would be fun. ^^

Not the best but the story has been building up good. I enjoy 2 episodes story instead of just 1. I think Martha shines on this episode. I am starting to like her a bit better with this episode. But she also did a good job on 6th episode in this serious.
Scarecrows didn't scare me... those 4 "alien into human selves" isn't actually scary but it has the chill factors within them. smile Quite a well done episode indeed. Love to see doctor in a different way. The slap was brilliant. Martha should do a few more to this Doctor. xd I can't wait for this coming week's one that is for sure!

The scarecrows weren't dangerous, their victims were just very, VERY stupid. Even a plastic bag can be a killer when you remove intelligence from the equation.

I like that the BBC has temporarily taken down the eBook of "Human Nature", so as not to spoil anything.
Good job it's on my shelf, should I wish to consult it.
The companion was Benny Summerfield, by the way.

This episode makes me sad. Now I really want to see the next one, but I also don't want to see it. It'll just depress me.

that was a good episode. I think that it was a bit slow in the beginning, but it was to introduce how the doctor came to be a human teacher. Do you think that that little boy really is psychic or whatever...the next episode is going to be so awsome! Can't wait xd

Sepik Man... Those writers this season... Seem to have suddenly developed a fanfiction writer's joy of 'TORTURE THE MAIN CHARACTERS~' All that I can say is that I agree, let's see the Doctor has: -Had his blood sucked out/then promptly passed out -Had one of his hearts stop -Been exposed to really, really bad pollution (Gridlock) -Been Electrocuted/Hit by lightning -Almost eaten/killed by some scorpion humanoid -Had a living sun burn him from the inside out -And now the events of Human Nature and quite possibly Family of Blood
So... who ever is writing the script now, sure has some sadistic tendencies.

And as I have said before, when he nearly dies, he's wearing the blue suit!
