Twindream I think T i f a already knew that Sephiroth was naturally born just so you know. rolleyes I pray that they don't give him a last name.... I pray his last name is Crescent... That is a sexy last name, man. Hm... Jhay-R Crescent Aspuria... I think I've just found my new name, keheheheh But, at least Crescent is sexier than Fair, you know? Maybe, they shoulda made it Zack Shinoda and Cloud Benningfield Strife

I thought her post said that he was an experiment. Wait, it did. Experiments generally don't refer to natural births, unless you're experimenting in a devious way. xd And seeing as he was conceived I think it would be logical for him to take on the last name of his parents. If he was an experiment he would've just gotten a random serial number and maybe a few letters, E.G REDXIII.

Sooo...what was the point of quoting me then? xd I should point out that I didn't mention Sephiroth's birth at all in my post. Of course he was naturally born. Everyone knows that. Sephiroth is an experiment because he was injected with the Jenova cells before he was born. That's what made him an experiment. Hojo wanted to see the effects that Jenova cells had on the human body, and that's where Sephiroth came into the picture. There are also multiple sources that state that he was an experiment. There's also the scene with all the specimen in the reactor that Sephiroth and Cloud saw on different occasions during the game. If they weren't born that way and were experimented on like Zack and Cloud were after the Nibelheim incident, they would still be considered experiments. Honestly, I don't see the concept of being an experiment and the method of birth being related at all.
Oh, I just thought of something regarding the serial number thing, now that I'm in brainstorming mode. The important thing to remember is that Sephiroth had no idea that he was an experiment until he read about the Jenova Project. If Hojo was really trying to hide that from him, wouldn't it be pointless to give him a serial number tattoo?

It wasn't a case of 'They were experimented on, THEN born' and put into a position of receiving a name. They were Cloud Strife and Zack Fair, experimented on, and still remained Cloud Strife and Zack Fair. Sephiroth never had a name until he was born, which (repeating myself is annoying to read) would be logical for him to take on a last name too. And on the subject of Serial numbers didn't Sephiroth have a tatoo on his arm to signify that he was the first in the Sephiroth clones production, or rather, he was what started it off. All Sephiroth clones had numbered tatoo's on their arms so strictly speaking they were given serial numbers I would imagine, just not named by them. Cloud didn't receive one because he escaped the Nibleheim mansion before he could be given one I believe.

What about Profressor Gast? Somewhere in the game they mention that Gast help give birth to Sephiroth... I believe his name is Sephiroth Gast.

Well since it'd be very awkward if Hojo, Gast and Lucrecia had a threesome I think we can assume that Sephiroth isn't the result of a wild scientist night out. Professor Gast and Iflana were the parents of Aeris, the parents of Sephiroth were Hojo and Lucrecia Crescent. Gast had no taking part in the birth of Sephiroth as far as parenting or creation went, so it wouldn't be possible for his second name to be Gast.

If The wife marry the husband. The wife Inherit the husband Last name.
So If we know Lucrecita last name, We can find out Hojo/Sephiroth last name.

To "strife" is to reach out to something with great effort and struggle and "fair" could be a load of different things that can represent Zack's personality. (For example happy, fun, exciting. What a "fair" or a carnival type thing would be like. Also, fair as in beautiful. XD ) And no I did NOT look those up in the dictionary. rolleyes LOL, Benningfield? It does have a nice ring to it..........Cloud Benningfield Strife...Cloud Benningfield Strife...I'm sorry, were you saying something?

Alrigth ppl u r making me dizzy Sephiroth is the main and coolest villian in FFVII alrigth first of all his reputation will be destroyed if he had a last name he has no origin what so ever he is pitch black mystirous and he is supposed to have no last name how can he have a last name its totally dumb Sephiroth is darkness alrigth hes supposed to be like that idc if u didnt understand but here is as far as I go end of disscussion....

Celestial Fox Frenzi Through all the data I've collected, I think its Crescent. But, thats just my theory. Whaddya all think? I agree with you. Many people take it to be Crescent. Son of Lucresia...*not sure if spelled right*

if he did have a last name it technically would be Lucrecia's last name or Hojo's last name but he doesn't need one it would kill the image everyone has of him
