Sable, true to form, did not notice anything around him while he was concentrated on the task at hand. English. He needed to find something in english. If he could just get a grip on what was going on, everything would be better. He could get to where he should be; people there would probably be able to understand him.
After a few useless attempts to converse with people who clearly didn't understand him -to be fair, he had no idea what they tried to explain to him, either- he gave up. He'd just follow the crowd; hopefully he'd get where he needed to be or at least get enough information to get himself there. A loud noise startled him; he glanced over to watch two women greet each other. They were speaking English! And there was a man, one who wasn't busy, standing near them. Maybe he was with them?
Hopeful, Sable approached Audun. "Erm, hello," he tried. "Can you read these signs, by any chance?"

Rylenn had been left alone... and he didn't like it. He lidded his eyes for a moment as he tried to catch his breath. Weiyuan had left his side and he left Rui Zhi to his thoughts.
He wanted someone to hug him.
Now was not the time for that though. It was time for him to make his teachers proud. It was time to make his family proud. (Though he knew that they wouldn't care whether he lived or died.) Maybe it's time to make his new family proud.
He looked at his lover and sighed. He showed his badge to the man who asked to see it. "M'supposed to be here. You think I'd come on whim?" He padded to Weiyuan and touched his shoulder. "Are you okay?" He blushed a bit and murmured. "I mean.. you wanted no one... to be with you... and.. I..." He stopped himself from pouncing on the other and begging for some type of attention. "Are you all right?"

He could help but melt at the other's touch. The brunette sighed before turning to his lover holding him for a bit. "Forgive my Ry...I...I...this place will bring out the worst in me. I can promise you that...I won't be the same person as long as I am here." He glanced around a bit before giving Rylenn a kiss. "I love you."
He spotted the teacher and stepped closer to RuiZhi, his eyes grew hard. That protective feeling growing within him. He was going to be the one to take care of his brother.
He couldn't suppress the slight glare he gave the elf. "Don't worry about us. I can assure you that we know this land and people better than you." To say that this place brought out the worse in him was pure fact.
His attention was redirected as he heard two familiar feminine voices call out two familiar feminine names. He turned and saw the two women he had become acquainted with the last time he had stepped onto these grounds.
He felt the color drain out of his face. Alex. Here. She would find them no doubt. And...he couldn't hide his relationship with Rylenn from her even if he really tried! She was just too...clairvoyant. He looked to the red-head. What if she caught that kiss? That fleeting moment of panic was starting to become longer than just a moment. What was he going to do now?

Audun looked at the person who approached him over the tip of his scarf, which he had managed to pull up enough to cover his mouth (in an effort to stop from having to cover his mouth with his hand each time he yawned). He blinked a few times in an effort to really understand that this person was addressing him and not anyone around his self, and when it finally clicked and he knew he couldn't get out of answering, he sighed.
"No. I speak five languages but Chinese is not one of them. I recommend you try someone else or do as I do, which is to wait and follow anyone else who speaks English."
He rubbed his left eye with his hand, making the white of it red from aggitation. He followed suit with the right and soon had eyes that resembled a flag of some kind - red, white, and blue. As he rubbed them several tempting thoughts of walking off and leaving the youth before him to fend for himself crossed Audun's mind, but just because he wasn't interested in talking to people didn't mean they weren't interested in talking to him. Rudeness begets rudeness.
"...How about we go look for a place that has a translation guide? It beats standing around here and just waiting."
Audun wondered if he could and was being understood clearly, as he knew that when he spoke English his heavy nordic accent often came through and made his speech a little more...interesting.

RuiZhi cast a glance over towards his brother and friend; they were too engrossed in each other to worry about him. He was on his own with the pretty elven lady. "I, uh..." The boy hastily decided he shouldn't admit that he knew he shouldn't be there, even if the shame was writ all over his face. "I'm glad you're here. It's kind of scary, but...I feel I have to be here. This was my home, once." It was strange how easily the words fell from his mouth, admitting that the place no longer held anything for him. His family was buried here, and his friends and neighbors were almost assuredly dead if not buried here, but he felt no attachment. His home was with the brown-haired boy up the way and the black-haired lady that the other had just spotted.
The boy turned to look at Weiyuan, shocked by his words. "Brother, she's..." His face crumpled into confusion as his brother's face was suddenly a touch pale and drawn. Brown eyes followed his gaze to light upon...oh GODS no...his sister was here! RuiZhi started to feel panic, but for a reason very unlike his brother; they were in SO much trouble!

Rylenn seemed to pick up on Weiyuan's fear. He looked towards the group. "Yea....." He turned and walked away... just a few paces. Shame.. or something akin to that had crossed Weiyuan's face. So he'd give him his space. He lidded his eyes and wrapped his arms around himself. He'd be fine on his own.
He looked at the plants and played his fingers over them. He took his hands back and looked around for someone else he knew.

From where he was, Dante gave Weiyuan a glare that was only slightly less venemous than the one he gave to Greg--
He blinked, looking across the fields to--hmm.
Lina practically barreled into her friend, laughing as the two spun about each other before she held the woman at arm's length, trying to control her breathing, her cheeks flushed and her eyes shining happily. "Alex, when has it ever been like me to leave something unfinished?" Lina asked, flipping a strand of hair over her shoulder as she clasped the woman's hand. "I decided then that when I start something, I end it. That's what I've decided about school...and about this."
She smiled and jerked her head towards the camp. "Let's go and catch up and gossip and giggle like schoolgirls! I brought Pocky! Have you ever had it?"

Irame watched as the brown haired boy stepped closer to the boy who had spoken first. Neither had given their names at her entrée, so she supposed that she would have to be a bit more rude and ask more right out, though not right after her first asking. That would be too rude.
“I hold no disillusions about who knows the land and people better.” She said to Rylenn. “I am sure that you do, it would simply make me feel much better to be with at least a few of you.” She didn’t add that if there was what she though there was in the land then they were not going to have any need to know the land or the people. It wouldn’t matter. They would all be dead before they could make use of that knowledge…. She shoved the picture of a edric scythe down into the back of her mind and looked at the black haired boy.
“I am glad that I can offer some form of comfort, penneth.” She said. She wasn’t sure what to call him, so little one seemed good enough. Perhaps the nickname would prompt him into giving her his real name? “I am sure, however, that there is really nothing to be afraid of, and that we are all simply being overly cautions, which is not always bad.” She smiled but stopped and looked over at what the both of them were looking at. She saw Greg, who quite often made himself the center of attention, as well as two women that she didn’t know. Hmm. She wasn‘t quite sure why the two women seemed to cause the two boys so much agitation, but it was apparent.

Alex put the woman down, giving her two brisk kisses on her cheeks before standing back to let the woman talk. She watched with fondness as Lina was so animated, making her smile once more. "Pocky? What? I--no, I don't know what that is. I'd love to catch up, there's so much..." She trailed off as her eyes found a man jogging up to them, a man who struck her as far too familiar. Her green eyes took in his shock of red hair and blue gaze, which reminded her forcably of a certain doctor -- and that's when she realized who he was.
"You must be Greg," she smiled at the man. She'd know those eyes anywhere. They weren't as cold or calculating as the eyes she was thinking of, but they were undoubtably belonging to a Larine. Something else was familiar, something nagging in the far recess of her memories that were locked away, but she was too overwhelmed by the surprise of seeing the man she'd spoken to. She was certain it was him. The Italian winked at Lina and murmured a soft, "Just a second," before turning to wrap her arms around the taller man and give him the same greeting as she'd given Lina; a kiss on each cheek. "It's nice to meet you! I must say, you don't look anything like--"
Alex's eyes caught movement yet again, a flash of familiar clothes that made the green orbs narrow dangerously. Ah. She'd found them. "Lina, I'd love to go to the lab...but we're going to have company." Her tone lowered with each word spoken until the last one was nearly a hiss. She released Greg and stalked over to where the two frightened Chinese boys were, practically bristling as she approached them like a cloud of darkness. Her feet stopped just in front of the two, next to a woman who she hadn't looked at yet. The Italian set her blistering gaze on RuiZhi, then to Weiyuan. Curious; the younger boy seemed scared in a perfectly innocent and troubled way, but Weiyuan...was hiding something. She'd seen that look in the temple, so long ago.
"Dìxīong ("Brothers")," she greeted the boys tartly, before doing what she did best and trying to REALLY give them a reason to be scared; she reached forward and folded Weiyuan into a tight embrace. "" she greeted them in Chinese, "" Although her words were sharp, her voice was pleasant, as if she was talking about how nice the weather was.

Lina was about to go on about how wonderful it was and really, you should come try it, when--
She saw her walk over to a couple of boys, and her eyes widened. Weiyuan--and someone else!
She dashed over to them, grabbing Wei in a tight embrace. "Wei! I'm so glad to see you've been doing well! Have you been eating properly? Are the studies hard? Are--"
She looked around and giggled, stepping back and blushing. "So-sorry," she stuttered.

Somewhere deep inside, Sable grimaced. He really had bad taste when it came to picking out people to approach. Or maybe, he was in bad taste? Whatever it was, they never seemed to want to have anything to do with him. The short lab bristled, ready to launch into defense as the man started to walk away, but before he could get a bitter comment out, he spoke again.
"That sounds brilliant," he agreed, trotting to catch up with the stranger. "So, who are you? I'm Sable Hazard," he introduced himself casually, falling in stride beside his new travel companion. Keeping up was a bit of a problem, but Sable remained unruffled. It was a common problem. He learned to deal. He did pause every time they passed what looked like a vendor, however, trying to see if he could read anything they passed. "So," he said idly, glancing at another set of books, "why are you in China?"

Greg was surprised as Alex kissed his check, but still smiled. He took it all in stride and nodded as she said his name. “And you must be Alex.” Was all that he managed to get out before she excused herself and went over to two students and… oh goodness it was Irame. Greg rolled his eyes. The way that Alex was walking, stalking really, over to the kids wasn’t a good sign, but Irame would probably end up trying to get in-between them all. He went over with Lina
“Now see, I haven’t primped in years, and I still seem to look okay.” He commented on the way over. “And this Pocky stuff that you were talking about, is it open to anyone else either?” He asked smiling.
-=+=-
Irame was worried when the woman came over, thinking that it might be something bad, but neither of the kids seemed to try to get away. Besides when the woman came over and hugged the brunet. When she started talking in Chinese, however, she really whished that she could speak the language better than she could. All she got was ‘I know why you …. you better believe… here because of it.’ And that really didn’t make much since.
“En amin, a star shall shine on the hour of our meeting, however please excuse me, but is something wrong between you and these two? It seems as if they worried about talking to you.” Irame asked, bowing her head at Alex.
(En amin = my lady [non familiar] )

Alex laid two gentle kisses on Weiyuan's cheeks - anyone watching by now would figure out this was a greeting, albeit one reserved for familiarity - before releasing the boy and standing. She blinked as she was spoken to, and nearly leapt out of her skin at what she saw. Was that...an ELF? The woman could do little more than stare for a few seconds, her expression frozen before a startled laugh escaped her. "Scared? They should be. I'm their sister." She reverted to English, as that's what the ELF used. The Italian could not get over the fact that she was standing next to an elf. Truly, this place was full of surprises!
She tugged Weiyuan next to her before reaching out to RuiZhi, wrapping a hand around his shoulder. "I'm here to escort them so they don't get into trouble," she said pleasantly enough, although either of the two would recognize the threat beneath her words. "I was just going to take them to the lab - isn't that right, Weiyuan? RuiZhi?" And there was the tell-tale sign that there was going to be trouble; she used their first names instead of the nicknames she'd given them. Before Alex could lead them off, her eyes found a red-headed boy near by, making her pause as something jarred in her memory. RuiZhi had mentioned a boy he'd met, the same one that had made him cry to her... Rylenn, was his name. She decided the two boys were in enough trouble; she wouldn't cause any more grief for RuiZhi. Not right now.
"Oi," she called to the taller boy, hoping he'd hear and listen, as the two Chinese boys seemed so bad at doing, "come on, if you want. I'll show you guys around." Alex grinned broadly, hoping to dispell any fears that the surrounding people might have. Even so, the show of kindness didn't reach her eyes; there was something bothering her about this place, and she couldn't quite pin it down (although she was still in denial over seeing an elf). Lina, Weiyuan and herself were here...that left one out from the original group that had solved the problem before. She couldn't shake the feeling that she was supposed to be here.

‘Oh….why did I come?’ a voice echoed tiresomely at the back of Elijah’s mind forcing him to listen to it heedlessly. The through both take off and landing he had clung desperately to the air chair in pure anxiety having only been on a plane once before and had obviously grown a phobia of it quickly. But one thing he did find amazing and something he prized above the other events of the trip; gazing out over the blue landscape that was an ocean of white and pink clouds. ‘This is heaven’.
It was only after he was well off the plane that he now questioned again why he had come, but this time for a completely different reason. Glancing around he noticed the signs, the people, everything was so foreign to him and despite his excitement over learning a new culture and meeting new people it felt a little daunting standing there all alone.
A man came along asking to see his id.
“Oh, yes sir,” he almost jumped not anticipating the sudden appearance of the man, but as he took the card from his pocket he smiled politely and allowed him to see.

It was seconds later that he was allowed to continue forward. Sauntering about he observed his new surroundings in awe, for a moment caught in the exhilaration of exploring a new environment.
