I dont' see how it's not canon, as databooks are written by Kishimoto to clarify the scenes and things he wants us to pay attention to :/

So true.

I wish I had a hard copy of the databook - that way I can use it to slap a guy friend of mine back and forth. He hates SasuSaku. And he honestly just hates Sasuke and Sakura.
